Could this be real? Or I'm just dreaming, i was overwhelmed by the occasion that i started to shed tears, tears of joy. I use to dream and hope of being in the US someday but never thought it would one day become reality. This is one country i have heard so much about, how well the system works and all that. My travel partner tried to console me as tears rolled down my cheeks, i understand he was doing that because he taught i was embarrassing him but i cared less, the thoughts of living my dreams finally, living in a working society...... We checked into one of the classy hotel that is located right at the heart of florida, after dropping my luggage i went over to the room's balcony overlooking the streets of The God's Own Country while sipping my wine, thinking out loud how best to tap into the vast opportunities that abound in this country and all of a sudden someone tapped me from behind and whispered into my right ear "Guy bring money make i go buy fuel abi we no go on generator this night? "......i opened my eyes closed it, opened it again and started crying, so i was only dreaming after all?. |

In order to keep strong in our Christian life, there are three essentials. Just as in our physical life we must breathe, eat, and exercise, so in the spiritual life we must observe these three essentials to success and happiness. The Christian life is a growth, and we must not expect too great results at first, but, if we follow these three essentials to Christian life and growth, we shall have happiness and joy in Christ's service here on earth. We Grow by Eating 1) First, we must eat. What is the food for spiritual life? “The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” (John 6:63) “When Your words came, I ate them: they were my joy and my heart’s delight.” (Jeremiah 15:16) Daily reading and studying of the Bible are necessary to spiritual growth and life. If we do not eat this food for the soul, we shall not grow, but shall finally starve spiritually. We Grow by Breathing 2) Second, we must breathe spiritually. Prayer is the breath of the soul. l Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to “Pray continually.” And in Romans 2:12 we read, “Faithful in prayer.” “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6) Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. “Ask, and it will be given to you.” (Matthew 7:7) Prayer and its answer is a wonderful theme, and a more wonderful experience. It is the very breath of the soul. Without prayer, the spiritual life will perish sooner than from the lack of any other essential. (See Matthew 7:7 and Mark 11:24) We Grow by Exercising 3) Third, we must exercise or engage in Christian work. We are to labor in God’s vineyard. (Matthew 21:28) In what part of it? Mark 16:15 tells us: “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Jesus came into the world— “…not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28) This is service and salvation for others, which is very food, and life and exercise. As we take Christ’s name, we shall follow in His steps, doing what we can to help the needy, relieve the distressed, and encourage the down-hearted. Most of all, we shall do our utmost, losing no opportunity to point sinners to “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) Feeding on the Word, keeping the heart constantly in the spirit of prayer, and consecrating our energies to the eternal welfare of our fellow men—that’s the ideal Christian life, the happiest, most satisfactory life that man can know on this earth. Let me bear my personal testimony—it’s great to be a Christian! Friend, won’t you give God a chance in your life? Won’t you become a Christian? Won’t you take these steps—these steps to Christ? Do Others See Christ Living in You? To every Christian listening in, let me say: If you are living for Christ, you are doing more than anything else that you possibly could do to bring men to Him. A missionary in China was telling of Jesus for the first time to a group of people in an inland town. When he had finished, someone spoke up and said: “Oh, yes, we knew Him. He used to live here.” Jesus in Action Surprised, the missionary said: “No, He didn’t live here. He lived centuries ago in another land.” The man still insisted that he had seen Jesus, saying: “Not so, He lived in this village. We knew Him.” Then the simple country folk took the missionary out to the village cemetery and showed him the grave of a medical missionary who had lived, healed, served, and died in their community. Ah, yes, they had seen Jesus in this man! And they thought he was Jesus. Dear friends, do people see Jesus in you, in me? May it be so today. http://www.bibleinfo.com/en/questions/how-do-i-live-and-grow-stronger-christian |

Wouldn’t it be great to know exactly what God wants us to do and how He wants us to serve? God’s will doesn’t have to be a mystery. Here are some practical ways to discover it. WHAT IS GOD’S WILL FOR YOU? Have you ever faced a crossroads in life and wondered, like Paul on the road to Damascus, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” We may wish we could receive a personal answer like Paul did. But the Bible shows God does not work that way with most people—nor does He generally strike people blind to get their attention! However, He does want us to know His will, His plan and specific things He wants us to do. Let’s look at some of the ways we can discover God’s will for us individually. How does He want you and me to use the gifts He has given us? But first we need the overview. What is the primary purpose for our lives? What is God’s great desire for all of us now and for eternity? God’s will is revealed in the Bible When you get down to it, God gave us the entire Bible to reveal His will. But let’s start by looking at a few summary scriptures that help us to get a glimpse of His awesome plan for us. Jesus said: “For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother” (Matthew 12:50). “And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:17). “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! … We know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:1-3). As amazing as it sounds, God’s will is for us to become like Him—to become His children! We encourage you to read these passages in your own Bible, to read the surrounding scriptures and the many others like them. (Our article “Purpose of Life” can help you explore this mind-boggling part of God’s will for you.) With this awesome purpose in mind, what should we do? How do we align ourselves to God’s will? Consider these key scriptures that show what God expects and how He helps us think and act like Him. “What does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13; see also Micah 6: .“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2). The Holy Bible and God’s Holy Spirit are gifts from God to help us know and do His will so we can be transformed to become like Him. This is vitally important, and we have a number of resources to help you explore God’s will in much greater depth. We urge you to read “7 Ways to Please God,” “Fear of the Lord: What Does It Mean?” God’s 10 Commandments: Still Relevant Today and Change Your Life! When God’s will conflicts with your will Jesus Christ set the ultimate example of yielding to God’s will. When He faced His impending beating and crucifixion—trials that no human being would ever want to face—He prayed: “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup [of suffering] away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done” (Luke 22:42). Whenever you discover that God’s plans differ from yours, can you put His will ahead of your own? Whenever you find that what you want to do is wrong, can you yield to God’s will? That’s the mind of Christ! Of course, some aspects of life are not so much questions of right or wrong as they are questions of wisdom and making the best choices. Sometimes more than one choice can be within God’s will. What career should you choose? What job should you pursue? Who should you marry? Where should you live? God gives principles that can help us make good choices. |

God’s Righteous Friend by Joyce Meyer- For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by his goodness]. —2 Corinthians 5:21 I cannot think of anything more awesome than being a friend of God. There is nothing I would rather hear God say than, "Joyce Meyer is My friend." I do not want Him to say, "Joyce Meyer—knows all the prayer principles; she can quote dozens of Bible verses; she sounds very eloquent when she prays; but she really doesn't know Me at all and we are not really friends." I want to know that God thinks of me as His friend, and I believe you long for Him to think of you that way, too. Through Jesus Christ, we have a right to be comfortable with God, to hear His voice, and to go boldly to the throne of grace to get the help we need in plenty of time to meet our needs and the needs of others (see Hebrews 4:16). One of the best things you can ever do is to develop your friendship with God. Jesus has made you righteous through the blood He shed at the cross, so there is no reason you cannot approach God as boldly and as naturally as you would your best friend on Earth. Remember, friendship with God takes an investment of time and energy to develop. But also remember that as your friendship deepens, your ability to hear God's voice increases. A growing, vibrant, increasingly intimate friendship with God will naturally lead to increasingly effective communication with Him. |
An2elect2:his death was for the redemption of our sins.......my signature simply tends to remind us about the inevitability of death as mortals and the need to live a christ-like life. |
An2elect2:living a good life is the teaching of christ |

If only we as Christians learn to acknowledge the unconditional love christ has for us.....We must learn to live as though every second is our last. |
The Unconditional Love of God A pair of hands methodically began to scoop up the loose ground, moving it into a pile. When a sufficient amount of earth had been placed in the pile, the hands began to move the earth around swiftly. The earth began to take a shape unseen before. When the earth had been fashioned into the desired form, the Creator bent down, looked approvingly at the shape and placed His mouth over the earthen lips of the form. He breathed, forcing air into the earthen vessel He had fashioned. Suddenly, miraculously, the form responded to the breath and sprang to life. Adam was aware that he was the culmination and climax of creation and that the Creator had just formed a special bond with him-a relationship of love (see Genesis 2:7). The Very Nature of God is Love Volumes have been written about the characteristics of God, but when it is distilled to the most basic categories, He is love (1 John 4: , life (Jeremiah 10:10; Revelation 22:1), and holiness (Psalms 99:9). And in reality, His life and holiness are based upon and are an expression of His love: love gives, so He gives life; love desires the best, so holiness proceeds from Him.Love is not something he chooses to do or give. It is the very essence of who He is. He doesn't just love-He is love (1 John 4:16). It motivates His every action, directs His activities, and reflects His desires (1 John 4:10). Love is the greatest and purest essence of who a person is and its proper expression brings fulfillment. However, God's love is not like the love expressed by many in our culture today: a love of convenience and ego. That is, "I will love you as long as you add value to my life and please me. When that ceases, so does my love for you." For many, love is conditional. The conditions may be different depending upon the relationship, but there are still conditions to be met in order to "earn" our love. William Bennett, former Secretary of Education and author of The Book of Virtues: A Treasury of Great Moral Stories (1993), once said that he attended a wedding where the vows had been changed to reflect this love of convenience. He decided to send a gift to the couple that reflected their commitment to the marriage-a package of paper plates! He said he figured the package would last as long as the marriage. This attitude stands in stark contrast to God's unconditional love, which never fails (Psalms 52: , endures forever (Psalms 106:1), is uncalculating (Proverbs 30:5), and not motivated by personal gain (1 John 3:16). Unconditional love does not mean that God loves everything we do, but rather His love is so intense that He loves every sinner, no matter how vile and despicable he or she may be in the eyes of humanity, so much that He provides a way for them to find love, life, and holiness (John 3:16). "Intense love does not measure, it just gives" (Mother Teresa). The Focus of God's Love is Redemption Daily, Adam and Eve walked with God, until the desire for pleasure overcame their love for God (see Genesis 3). This break in the relationship required redemption. God's love (and our own!) is not an abstract ideal, but a concrete reality that finds expression. Love that is not expressed through the giving of self, practical action and sacrifice is not love. Love must meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of those loved. It is costly, brings vulnerability, and seeks the person's highest good (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). God's unconditional and intense love for fallen humanity motivated the plan of salvation (Revelation 1:5). Simply, salvation is God making us whole or complete. It is a healing of the soul, bringing us back to the state of Adam when God breathed life into him and made him a living soul. Separation from God, caused by sin, is separation from life. A person might have biological life, but not the quality of life God envisions for us. http://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/the-unconditional-love-of-god.html |
