Afrobeats musician, Seun Kuti has slammed Wizkid FC after they cyberbullied him when Wizkid claims he listens to his album.

The Nation had reported Seun Kuti stepped on the toes of Wizkid FC as he continued to downplay Wizkidayo’s Grammy award because he did not win it for his music but for appearing in Beyonce’s music video.

However, Big Wiz appealed with the saxophonist in the comments section not to give ears to what his fans were saying.

The father of three added Seun should grab his sax and make good music as they are still enjoying his last album ‘Black Times’ released in 2018.

In a recent development, the teeming Wizkid FC interpreted Wizkidayo’s comment as sarcasm and have showed no signs of slowing down on hitting Bigbird Kuti.

They concluded the “Holla At Your Boy” singer was indirectly shading current leader of ‘Egypt 80’ band.

Seun responded to their claims in a recent video.

He explained that Wizkidayo was not being sarcastic with his comment as he genuinely listens to his album.

The singer also referred to Wizkid FC as “Buhari’s children” and dared them to build a school in Shitta, Lagos, Nigeria in honour of their star.

According to Daddy Showkey trekking such long distance was a way of life for him when he was growing up.

The Nation reported that late Ada Jesus was admitted to the hospital after she developed kidney disease.

Friends and family had gathered at the hospital in Abuja where she was receiving treatment for a kidney disease to celebrate her 24th birthday.

When her health condition took a twist, she publicly sought forgiveness from those she had spoken against in the past and with the support of Nigerians was admitted into a hospital where she started undergoing dialysis.

Her health began to improve until she experienced a heart attack, the night of her birthday.

A lady has called out Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus for allegedly destroying her expensive phone at a club in Lagos.

Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has blamed organised religion for the rape epidemic in Africa, saying women walked around naked for thousands of years before the coming of Christianity and Islam.

The 38-year-old made the point in a social media post on Monday in which he declared that “women weren’t created for men.”

According to the youngest son of famous Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, 95 percent of rapists are either Christians or Muslims.

Nigeria’s Victory Yinka-Banjo, a 17-year-old high school graduate, was offered more than $5 million worth of scholarship money for an undergraduate program of study, according to admission documents and estimates of financial aid awards.

“It still feels pretty unbelievable. I applied to so many schools because I didn’t even think any school would accept me,” Victory told CNN, relishing her academic prowess.

Born to Nigerian parents, Chika Yinka-Banjo, a senior lecturer at the University of Lagos and Adeyinka Banjo, procurement and supply chain executive, Victory was given potential full scholarships from the Ivy League schools, Yale College, Princeton University, Harvard College, and Brown University.

Other US scholarship offers included those from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia.

In Canada, Victory was offered the Lester B. Pearson scholarship from the University of Toronto and the Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow (KMILOT) scholarship from the University of British Columbia.

The founder of Believers Loveworld Ministries aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has become a grandfather following the birth of his first grandchild.

Oyakhilome’s new status comes as his first daughter Sharon and her Ghanaian husband Phillip Frimpong welcomed a baby girl.

Frimpong announced their first child’s birth on Instagram on Thursday, revealing her name as Arielle Rachelle-Marise Frimpong.

Prolific writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, popularly called Chimamanda Adiche has returned to social media nearly two months after her mother’s death to pay a touching tribute.

The renowned author, who was described in “The Times Literary Supplement” as “the most prominent” of a “procession of critically acclaimed young anglophone authors, lost her 78-year-old mother, Grace Ifeoma Adichie, on March 1, 2021.

Mrs. Adichie’s death happened on the day that would have been her late husband’s 89th birthday.

She died 8 months after her husband, Prof. James Adichie, who passed on after a brief illness in June 2020.

Since her mother’s death, Chimamanda has stayed off social media.

She returned on April 28 to post a tribute to her mother.

The Half of a Yellow Sun author shared photos of her and her mother, including one she took with her mother on her wedding day. “How does a heart break twice?” Chimamanda captioned the post.
