Hi fellow humans, my beloved mother is unknowingly forcing me to hate her. She has suddenly become megalomaniac.

She always want to have the final say in every issue not minding the feelings of others. She doesnt waste time to switch her allegiance and love to any of her children that has it big at the very moment..

She is in her 60s but always believe she knows the current things more than us. Immagine the torchlight Nokia phone we bought for her she cant even operate it well, but now telling us that we dont love her because we didnt buy android touchscreen phone for her to be browsing.

Your mum might be having a midlife crisis...Its a reality when people begin to subconsciously question their relevance to society and their immediate environment as they get more physically frail. This makes them very irritable and feelings of abandonment will become prevalent. Growing up, my once loving mum became extremely irritable as she got older, getting angry over flimsy things. Here in Africa, parents are wired to believe that they must be the focal point of their children's lives, hence the obsession with respect and other shenanigans. In the case of my mum, she began to change when my siblings and I agreed to provide for her material needs but ignore her emotionally.

Something interesting happened Yesterday. At about six minutes past 10pm, I was making frantic efforts to go home when a car that was on full speed stopped, someone came out of the car and just like we see in the movies, I was whisked away. While inside the car, I met with three hefty men who told me to surrender all I had. My phones were taken, they collected my Wallet which they emptied. They wanted taking me to the bank to make withdrawal. While maintaining my calm, I made them understand I came from the street equally, after speaking Igbo to them, they gave me back my wallet (though they took the money), they returned my phones (though they removed the battery in my small phone so I won't be able to make calls at that time) and even gave me money for Transport. Just as they were about to drop me, one of the guys said "Nwanne, biko ewekwala iwe. Inacho ihe i geri(brother, don't be angry. We're looking for our daily bread)". That moment I realized how the Government of the day has lost touch with reality, how they have deviated from their campaign promises and how clueless the government is as to the NEEDS of an average man on the STREET!
My point is, I was lucky to have survived the attack without being hurt/ mishandled but what will happen to their next VICTIM?
What if their victim was a lady?
What if they didn't respect me and decided to use me for other things?
The earlier the Government of the day deliver on their campaign promises, the BETTER cos the CRIME RATE is on the increase with each passing day. Kidnapping, Armed robbery and so on are the order of the day.

From my childhood I save money a lot, especially during those Xmas time when aunty n uncle give kids money.

@Henry, I'm thinking of creating an online platform for "Comparative Geopolitics" . It's basically going to be a website for simulation of armed conflicts in Africa with emphasis on Conventional military engagements. Sort of a "war games" in literature kind of expose. Are you open to working on this with me? I'm still talking to some web developers and you are perhaps the most well-versed military enthusiast I know.Most of the work will be based on how these conflicts will play out on conventional scale based on factual and accurate data on military hardware of parties involved while also taking into account, geography,politics and so on.

@Henry240, I spotted something quite strange, while reviewing the footage from the NAF contingents departure to Gambia. I saw a dude among the NAF troops being deployed who looked Caucasian. Pls can you review the footage?

The mobilisation is stellar. What the military has done is not to make noise, but quietly get to work. Before we could spell Tayo, NNS Unity was already close to the Ivory Coast, NAF had mobilised and 800 troops were on standby.

The whole deployment is beautiful.

Nigeria has so far deployed,

- NNS Unity

- 1 x Beechcraft ISR plane

- 2 x Alpha jets light attack jets

- 1 x Agusta A109 LUH

- 1 x C-130

- 200 ground troops from the Air Force

- 800 Soldiers on standby.


The Nigerians are not coming, they have actually arrived!!

This makes me proud to be a Nigerian. A battalion from the Army is probably next in line for deployment. How possible will it be to airlift our T-72AV MBTs?
