@kaybigdad pls kindly confirm how much you paid again at the point of passport submission with vfs. I don't know why Nigeria is like this. That PPR mail only stated N14,350. They have gone to add additional N8,060 . So whats the koko of having a Lagos office? The bolded pain me pass you o.

Anyway... lessons to take away:
Arrive on time, infact resume with them by 8am sharp
Ask questions so that you don't join the wrong queue
Make enough photocopies of all documents you will be submitting, at least 3
Go with enough cash even more than N14,350 + N8,060, in case the exploiters decide to hike the fees again. This is the part I don't like at all. I might as well cause small drama before paying. Just doesn't make sense

I apologize for the late response, just to clarify, I submitted my passport on the 4th of May to VFS Lekki and paid N14,350 per passport (N43,050 - family of 3) Its quite fast too as the tracker is now showing that its on its way back.

It's really bad that they have added an extra charge to it...now that it's a monopoly for them, they want to exploit people.

Wrt the IMM0008 and IMM5406 I filled and submitted them, some people did not.....I also don't think it's compulsory if your family configuration didn't change .....but common, you're almost at the end, this forms wouldn't take an hour to fill....Y not!

The email says IMM008 but all I can see here is IMM0008 and it is 5 pages.
Did you also fill the Brothers and Sisters, mother and father part in IMM 5406?

Please use the IMM0008-Generic Application Form for Canada-February 2018.

Also, you need to fill the Brothers and Sisters, mother and father part in IMM 5406 and do same if you have an accompanying spouse.

-I filled and submitted IMM008 the generic form and IMM5406 Additional Family Information form. Tho my family configuration did not change, I feel its better to provide it to avoid any delay in processing.
-Passport Photograph (2 copies each for every passport you're submitting with your application)
-VFS Consent form.
-Height and eyes color form (this was attached at the bottom of my ppr mail).

I used them for my first application....Paid USD2000. My CRS score at the time was below 400, they only helped with arranging and submitting my docs...they never advised me on other options !

Please don't use any agent. The process is straightforward, You have all the info you need on immigration forums and CIC website.

Just to share the information I got today. I was @ VFS Lekki to submit my Passport, the man @ the submission desk explained to me that my passport will be sent to ACCRA, and I will have to pay #14,350 for each passports attached to my application.

I explained to him the PPR mail I got and how I assumed my Passport will be treated by the Lagos Visa Office. He then explained that the change only meant that passports can’t be sent to ACCRA directly through DHL anymore. Everybody will have to go through VFS.

Toh……they accept cash only@VFS
