Here we go again. Hemsworth might actually be a decent replacement for Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus, assuming Paramount can keep affording him.
abduleez1: Seeing lists like this just made me realise how out of the loop I am with this season's Emmys. Over 80% of the shows on here I never watch. The funny thing is I have over half of them on my list or downloaded already.
At least since the Emmys Award Ceremony is September 15th, I hope I would have caught up by them. 😢😢
That Best Animated Series category na war. Omo! I don't envy the judges of that category.
Always love how hard KyoAni worked to carry on the memory and works of the staff that were claimed by this horrible attack. Was especially touched when I learnt they had some of the late staff that worked on Hibike! Euphonium cameo in the finale of the latest season. They'll always be one of my most beloved studios
abduleez1: HBO dropping to 3rd most nominations at this year's Emmys speaks volumes of how weak their lineup for first half of this year has been. Something they've always dominated for years or slightly pipped by Netflix a couple times.
Next year looks to be a dominant one for the network tho. FX has had an historic year and with little competition from perennial winners like HBO's Succession, the coast is clear to sweep awards.
Everyday247: Guys, I need your help. I don't watch dub except this one time I took a gamble on cyber punk edgerunners and it turned out to be a very good decision. But now I don't know whether to take the same bet on suicide squad isekai. So what do you guys think? Sub or dub?
Download from PSARips. They have it in dual audio.
If you can't download from PSARips, then download 1 episode in sub and another episode in dub and see which one you prefer.
Hermanie: As much I don't like a brooding Superman, I loved Man Of Steel. I liked the tone. Synder took a classic, hopeful superhero and dropped him into our distrusting, polarised, post-9/11 world to be a beacon to teach the disgruntled people how to hope again. I think the Gunn film is going to be total bubblegum escapism, which will be fine, but I love that Snyder tried to give us something rooted in our own time and different to what we'd always had before.
Oya Gunn worshipers you people should come and fight me even after saying I'm fine with whatever he makes.
The funny thing is that I'm labelled a Gunn worshipper/fanboy but I agree with your post. I enjoyed the Snyderverse but I'm also interested in what Gunn is cooking.
Nobody's attacking anybody for liking Snyder's work. It's the folks hating on Gunn while acting like Snyder is the only one that can adapt the DC verse that people have a problem with.
CoolUsername: Well, that gives us two options, either Nagatoro has a tan because she's the adventurous and outdoorsy type or she is somehow of a different race from her biological brother and sister.
Have to get home or a quiet place, at least, to watch this but 157k likes and a non-toxic comments section, in this first hour, has my hopes up. They might actually let us enjoy this one.
Brokeloser: I kind of agree. I'm tired of seeing top 10 black characters when in reality they are all mid and easily forgettable. I mean tozen was blind and weak and died really early, yoruchi isn't all that but we no go hear word because African Americans must celebrate blackness every 3 market days.
Anywhere you see me, RUUNNN!!! Cos it's on sight. Our fight eh! Them no go separate am till we tire
CoolUsername: Japan is over 95% Japanese. Like, just imagine asking for Indian representation in Nollywood. Ridiculous, right?
That said, we have a couple of cool black characters in anime and manga such as: Lille Barro, Oh-Etsu, Charon, Avdol, Dutch, and Miguel to name a few. However, I like them because they are cool, not just because they are black.
As for black representation in media. I'm all for it. Black creators should make dope stuff with black people in it. Do a historical fantasy set in Nigeria. Do cyberpunk sci-fi set in dystopian future Lagos. Do an action-adventure set in the Sahel region, you get a cool desert backdrop, bladed weaponry, and many opportunities for cool costume design.
Japan, China, Korea, India, Mexico, etc put themselves on the entertainment map by making their own stuff with their own people, for their own people before foreigners saw them and got into them too. Black people should be doing the same instead of looking to other races to do it for us.
I want to see more cool stuff like Supa Strikas, Class of 3000, The Boondocks, etc and less lazy-ass race swaps in the name of "representation".
If you like comedy anime and you're not watching My Deer Friend Nokotan, you're seriously missing out. This is one of the most solid pilot episodes I've seen in a while. One of those pilot episodes you see and you know that you're looking at a potential Anime of the Season contender.
Well, well. A trailer already? There's no way they weren't already cooking this while the first season was airing. They were really confident about it.
