I want to recommend The Speech Masters Academy in Lagos. It's a school run by Dr. Mikki himself.

I think he mostly run private sessions at their centers in Lagos. The sessions are flexible so you chose what you want to learn, when you want to attend class and where you want. He also organizes monthly seminars on public speaking, presentation skills and sales skills.

In addition to reading books, I'll personally recommend attending a seminar and most importantly -- getting a coach.

Getting a coach worked for me because I needed someone to talk to regarding my challenges and he will listen to me and I wanted someone that can watch me closely too. My kind of person, if I want to do something, after two days I am already discouraged or worn out. So I know I can't just sit at home and hope that by reading a book I will be all right.

I took a 3 weeks weekend program with the speech masters academy. In I had like three classes with Dr. Miki Stephen Michael. Before I met with other speakers. The speech masters academy offers weekend classes in lagos and awka. I think they might even have the option of sending their trainer to your office if you want.

Steve is someone you'd like to be in a class with because he is super intelligent and fun to be around. And he knows just how to help you get it. I've been to many of his programs starting from Awka and I've attended his seminars in Lagos too.

I don't see how this helps anyone with serious issue.

My own case was fright. Any time I was asked to stand up and speak before a small group my heart would start turninoiniown. Untill I met DrMiki and discussed with him in person. He gave me some tips and asked me to enroll into his program. Some of the tips I can remember is:

-- The battle is in your mind: if you can work on your psychology about people and the events of your life; if you can put them in a better perspective, you will be able to overcome fear. Since I learned that I have always learned to control the way I think about the events or the people in the event. There's no reason to be scared. They love me. They want to listen to me. They won't bite me. And I see my fears as an excitement not a problem. etc etc

I've heard a lot about DrMiki's training and I've attended his seminars right from when I was in Anambra State. The man is too good with what he does. He's a practical example of a good speaker -- very knowledgeable, funny and communicates in simple English. I also attended his program here in Lagos in 2018 -- the seminar is titled "wow" He and his friend Peter Kajovo hosted the seminar. It was so life changing for me and my friend.

I would recommend DrMiki any time any day. He looks young (maybe even cute lol) but he sure knows how to take you by the hand and show you the way often in a very funny way.
