OTA (over the Air updates) means updates that are sent by your OEM(Phone manufacturer) via phone updates it can be security updates or full/partial OS updates.

my last security update has been 2022 I'm wondering if there are new updates since then or they have stopped sending updates to the particular phone

Security updates for Xiaomi comes with their firmware updates which you receive via OTA. You can download same manually.
