mrsefan:I've been there, and we tried to move past it, but couldn't. Things were no longer the same. Yes I forgave her after all I am human, but eventually we went our separate ways after, even if it happened in our 5th year of dating It's not an easy position to be in, I started regretting why she told me because for the first time in my life back then I realized I wasn't as strong as I thought I was. |
hardbody:The links would explain a bit then. I also had to do some googling to find that. Nigeria's History is weird... ![]() |
hardbody:Neither have I, but until I have seen all search warrants from all states of the Federation, we can not judge in totality. So let's give our opinions without assumption of "I know it all" lest we become like the proverbial fool that refuses to close his mouth and ends up swallowing his words. Here is a link to the criminal procedure Northern States Act. https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.lawyard.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/CRIMINAL-PROCEDURE-NORTHERN-STATES-ACT.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwiYv_2_htfPAhVrK8AKHfpCD6gQFggfMAI&usg=AFQjCNH3YQTk3FzdIcTcrJR-dDb68Lg5rw&sig2=b_8rEz8TWvJku9fbL4HEYQ That should show you the possibility of such documents. |
HeGeMon:Have you seen a search warrant before? ![]() Read this and learn that there are courts of Northern States of Nigeria. https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.lawyard.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/CRIMINAL-PROCEDURE-NORTHERN-STATES-ACT.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwiYv_2_htfPAhVrK8AKHfpCD6gQFggfMAI&usg=AFQjCNH3YQTk3FzdIcTcrJR-dDb68Lg5rw&sig2=b_8rEz8TWvJku9fbL4HEYQ Never assume you know what you don't. |
Thanks for sharing your experience, if there is anything I have learnt on the job, it's that customers have the right to be angry, and dealing with angry customers is a skill that you must develop. I remember screaming at a GTB customer service rep one day only to start apologising to her at the end of the call because the issue was obviously not her fault. One rule of thumb I follow is "treat others how I like to be treated" Customer service has got to be the most difficult job ever especially if it's in technical support, then you're in some real ish, trying to balance troubleshooting with managing angry folks. I've got an example coming right up.... |
veekid:No it happens in every part of the world. There is something called over-qualification. |
eddy1212:This world is not my home... I am just passing through ![]() |
Phace:Please retiring justices that are almost at the twilight of their careers, and asking one to refund the money he collected installmentally is in your opinion 'good enough' punishments? Please Mr. don't play technicalities here, because while we are at it, their corrupt actions have real and horrible consequences on Nigerians. If they collected bribes, they should all be handed over for prosecution and actually prosecuted. I don't see how retiring an alleged corrupt judge is hardly any punishment for his crimes, it seems more like a slap on the wrist. So tell me why they won't continue taking bribes? For an institution that prides itself as the hope of the common man, they sure don't inspire any hope. Fortunately, the DSS will not use the same tactics as the NJC, because they are trained differently, that's why I've been asking if the DSS broke any laws, by arresting the judges based on their investigations. If so what part of their actions contravene the Nigerian constitution. If you're a legal practitioner, you should be able to point us to the facts! So we can be enlightened. We want corruption to go, but we don't want a breakdown of law and order, so let's get the technicalities out of the way, and get to the nitty gritty of the matter.... |
sucess001:Nobody prays for jungle justice, and so far you haven't shown us the part of the Constitution that bars any other govt agency from investigating, arresting and prosecuting corrupt judges. Please refer me to the section for my enlightenment. I would hate to argue in ignorance. Moving forward, if there are constitutional powers conferred on the DSS and or Executive to investigate and prosecute corrupt judges, then it seems to me that it's the NJC that needs to get their act right and do their damn jobs, otherwise Nigerians will do it for them. We must be fair to all parties involved does not imply that corruption should be treated with kid gloves. |
sucess001:So the best the NJC could do was to retire the 3 judges accused of corrupt charges which they obviously have proved themselves, and you wonder why Nigeria is fantastically corrupt? We all want a free and fair Nigeria, but unfortunately Nigeria is only free if you've got money and connection. Until the NBA does something to protect the rights of the common Nigerian they can scream all they want, now they understand what the average Nigerian suffers in the hands of our security officers. Back to the issue, if the NJC disciplinary process is not effective as we have seen, they should admit and ask for time develop a better frame work for punishing culprits. Corruption in the judiciary is akin to mutiny in the military, but the consequences are what makes the difference. Actions should have consequences, and serious actions should have even more serious consequences. When the FBI arrested corrupt judges in the US, one was facing almost 35 years in prison because of a bribe of $100, if it's the NJC they will tell him to refund the money and go and sin no more. Nonsense |
A Court of Appeal judge allegedly collected N200million but he was only recommended for retirement and the NJC directed him to refund the cash installmentally. Just imagine |
I hope no one has tried this bullcrap ![]() The number he is asking u to send to is a mobile number in international format. Remove the 009 and you will have +234 bla bla bla. Awoof dey purge belle o ![]() |
TheUnblinded:Good suggestion, the only problem was that Jibrin wasn't trying to be patriotic so he may not have seen the need for this. Unfortunately, something didn't go well with his original plans so he has resorted to blowing the lid open in an attempt to gain relevance. The problem with feigning integrity is that it cannot be feigned. If three of our politicians use those gadgets for 4 of their nightly meetings, the audio revelations will turn Nigeria upside down. When we have genuine people fronting the fight against corruption, we will start seeing better results. |
Karenelle:What is unfair about the comparison? or you didn't read the topic very well? ![]() |
GdexFolami:Lolz, I don't know who the fool is, but they both worked hard to get to where they got to na Does that not count for something? |
Divinehealer:It's a matter of perspective in my opinion, both are showing off something, which is more inspiring that's the question... |
ilynem: ![]() Same question I have been asking.... Nigeria is in trouble, recession will soon be the least of our problems. |
I saw this on LinkedIn and decided to ask. Who do you think is more inspirational from the picture attached and why? No sentiments please objective analysis are welcomed.

I don't think the remote work culture has caught up with Nigerian firms yet. Working remotely has its perks but it's definitely not for everyone. Most Nigerian companies won't survive the culture we have a long way till we get there. However I believe remote work is the future. NB: I work remotely ![]() |
styca:A+ is the basis of tech support. It's course is platform independent. |
styca:Those are truly technical areas. I'd recommend you pick up a book on CompTIA A+ and read up in lieu of experience. So you can be better prepared next time. |
styca:Good thing you know the area that you're having issues. I can't advice what to read here except you list out the actual areas where you believed you scored low. |
schumastic:Look at this Wannabe... kontinu ![]() You were a good laugh... ![]() |
schumastic:Learner, so you failed comprehension in class and you're trying to blame it on me. ![]() It's not my fault that you're so bitter, obviously you lack the ability to be objective which makes you the sissy. ![]() Again go get some comprehension skills, as its obvious you were sucking your fingers, during English Language class( that's where comprehension is taught) Wannabe trying to form smart... Shift make I see men wey sabi... |
schumastic:First of all reserve your pity for yourself. You will need it. ![]() If you failed at comprehension, I don't see how that is any of my problem. ![]() Go back and read again and if you still don't understand what I said, please go get brighter grammer ![]() |
dryyansh1:What advice do you need? You just dodged a bullet. There was a reason you found out what she was doing. If you can stand the lies she will tell you then ask her, cos she will put a spin to the whole ish. If you really love her, then let her know what you found out, give her a chance to tell you the truth, if she lies about it, just assume you're in an open relationship moving forward. If she tells you the truth, then maybe you still have a 20% chance of saving that relationship. Let me tell you one truth I found out the hard way, No LADY is a saint even if she lives in the convent. How she dresses doesn't change that. |
clogogo:No I beg to disagree, a gentleman is someone who treats a lady right, not her friends. Don't try to score cheap points with the ladies here, the matured ones know we are saying the bitter truth. He said it was cool if the girls joined joined them to watch the movie. He didn't say he was gonna pay for them, I don't see any way he implied that it was his responsibility to do that. The man was a gentleman, he had two tickets waiting for himself and the lady, he took care of his responsibility. We need to let our African sisters know what's up. That's what a real nigga does. Let me share a short story When I met my gf, we were just hanging out. On the first date she wouldn't eat anything, but as myself was very hungry I went ahead and made my order while we chatted. Now after a while some ish came up and one of my exes accousted her on WhatsApp. So one faithful day while I was still doing the chasing, She asks me to come take her to the super market to get some items,( please note she did not ask me to buy her anything) well as a matter of principle I drove her down and went in with her to get what she wanted. When she finished picking what she wanted we went to the counter. The cashier calculated and was looking at me, so I asked her what the issue was, my gf was smiling sheepishly at me. I asked how much and I brought out my card to pay via POS. When we got in the car I gave her a dressing down on her attitude, there and then. I told her point blank, if you need money make a request, but never you stylishly try to make me pay for anything. Few months down the line it's my birthday, and I got this while dinner thing planned for me and her at the Le Meridian Ogeyi place, somehow she catches me checking things out on my PC and tells me point blank that she aint going, am like why it's a nice place, and she says... babe you've got so many projects going on now... having a luxury dinner shouldn't be one of them. Please let's just go see a movie. If I hadn't corrected that initial impression she had about me, being a spend thrift, I probably would have to keep succumbing to her wasteful wishes, and trust me girls have a lot of them. What the guy did was send a very powerful statement, and if they continue into the romance, the lady would already know where her boundary is.... So bros if you ever have the opportunity to correct that poorverty mentality most girls have please don't let it slip by... What a responsible girl should have done is ask the guy to help buy tickets for her friends, that ay the guy would know he is honoring a request of his potential bae... If he had bought that ticket, and the girl ends up not liking him, she will turn him to the movie ticket guy for she and her friends. |
Funkybabee:Lolz.... funny girl, 1. A guy is not and should not be responsible for buying anything for bae's friend or friends. If he does its of his own free will. There is nothing matured there what is actually matured here is the guy telling the tag alongs to get their own ticket simple and short. 2. Impressing a lady with money is total bull crap, a discussion between two matured adults seeking for a lasting relationship never dwells on money. It dwells on character. 3. Davido you said... lolz how old are you Biko. You did not see Dangotes pikin to mention who is probably managing some of his father's multi billion naira ventures you're calling ordinary Davido. Stingy ke, if making useless expenses on a bunch of freeloaders makes me stingy then please give me a plaque to go with the name.... ![]() Final advice, have some self worth, then guys would treat you with the respect you deserve. A date is called a date for reason.... that's why they say "3 is a crowd" A real man gives it to you point blank, boys bear expenses to impress little girls. |
Funkybabee:Lolz the thing pain you nor be small. ![]() First question is why would she invite her friends to go out with her on a DATE. Does she even understand the meaning of going on a date For emphasis; date TWO people getting together for an activity when the possibility of romance between them has been broached but not ruled out. Since the exploration of romance is the purpose of a date, merely asking someone out on a date is sufficient to broach the subject. Dates may or not continue once a couple have entered into a romantic relationship. The word "date" may be used to identify a get together between two people not romantically involved, but this usage is meant to convey irony, since such a meeting is not a date in the true sense of the word. Yeah, Mike and I went on a date last night. He's cute, but I'm not sure if I want to get involved with him or not. There was no place where FRIENDS was mentioned. Now to the guy's action, buying extra tickets for her friends was supposed to be a favor which he may or may not offer, in this case he choose not to. He passed a very clear message to the girl from day one which every guy should learn from. Scenario one... Girl.... Hey what's up, please meet my friends I told you wanted to see the movie Guy... Greets the ladies and hugs his potential bae. Ladies... Hey, girl we're coming lets get our tickets (That's what a classy girl will do) Guy... Ladies don't worry I already got all the tickets Girl.. blushes and says thank you. Scenario two... Girl.... Hey what's up, please meet my friends I told you wanted to see the movie Guy... Greets the ladies and hugs his potential bae. Ladies... Hey, girl we're coming lets get our tickets (That's what a classy girl will do) Guy... Says nothing, probably engrossed in some tete e tete talk with potential bae Girl.. Okay, no problem, I'll just get some snacks before you get back. We can have several scenarios of how this should have gone... but none of them should depict the guy as an I.diot for paying or not. The girl's mentality however shows how impoverished she is, plain and simple. If you invited them as your friends, then you should take care of them as your friends, not pass the buck to someone you still don't know yet just to impress your friends, that's the height of selfishness and irresponsibility. |
emmkeffs:10 bottles of Origin for you... ![]() Most of them screaming the guy should pay don't have a dime in their pocket. Real men take care of their women, not their women's friends. As a rule of thumb, my girl knows that the only time she invites her friends or family for an outing is when I expressly ask her to. Some girls will go and invite friends, and later start crying that somborry snatch their boyfriend. ![]() |
clogogo:I like rich boys like you who feel spending money is the route to a ladies heart. Let me make some points clear that you're obviously ignoring. 1. A first date is actually supposed to be a time where you guys get to know each other and see if you've got chemistry, so ordinarily no friends should be involved. 2. When she asked if to bring her friends, the guy was being a gentleman for saying cool because these ladies were gonna intrude on their date and hence no real chance to get to know each other, because in reality no true conversation can happen between you two without making the others feel ignored. 3. The guy bought two tickets because that's what he was supposed to buy, if the friends wanted to see the movie so bad they should simply buy their tickets without fuss (as they eventually did). Please note they came to watch a movie not to see the guy. If the guy offered to pay for their movie tickets, that would be going overboard, and most times we know the kind of guys that do that (hit and run). 4. Being termed a classy lady means you got your own benjamins, and you don't need any dude to take care of you. What the guy did should be applied by every sensible guy, except if all you want to do is knack and run, then you can spend the money to impress and get what you desire, but don't spread that foolishness around by trying to sell it as the right thing to do. The choice to pay or not was the guy's to make, and he made his call, if the lady can't deal with it let her go hang herself. Funny enough after all the rantings, the guy will still knack the akpako because girls actually love a man who is real, and this brother is real to the core. ![]() Girls love a rea |
jyzzle:Unfortunately you can't do anything, just wait you will get the email. Cheers ![]() |
