maclatunji: The questions are no longer mutually exclusive at this point. They all have to be addressed as one. But that statement by the minister is unforgivable. Its the height of insensitivity 1 Like |

maclatunji: I get what you mean *kind of*, but I hope you realize that every issue is addressed nearly everyday and not just this one? I hope you also realize that some issues will cause more outrage than others? I like some of the things you said, but the logic is faulty. They sound good only in theory. It makes absolutely no sense to draft civilians into a terrorist-like situation! No sane government will do that. None |

maclatunji: You people don't get it, Nigeria is on the verge of becoming a failed state. If Corp members cannot be posted to any part of this country, then the government has failed. Now, I agree that people should not be posted to crisis-ridden states. However, instead of corp members and their families selfishly seeking to "escape" those states, we must ask the question, what about people living in these troubled states? Don't they deserve to live a normal life? Away from looking out for "our own." What pressure have we put on the Federal Government to secure these people's lives and property. Iveanyi: God bless U Mr. Tunji. My sentiments exactly! We will get nowhere as a people by looking out for our own only. And that is what all this noise of NYSC posting and scrapping is about. There are bankers and other professionals who get posted to these states as well. Are they the ones suitable for death? While I was serving in the north myself, an indigene of the state I was in, who happened to be a Christian, lost all his property and almost his life in one of the riots. I just hope the two of you realize the inherent faulty logic in your posts. Youth corpers don't have any other choice, don't you get it? No Bank or 'other professionals' will just post workers to those areas, trust me. They're not irresponsible like this Nigerian government. The fact that that region is in crisis and the government has CHOSEN to be slow to act should tell you that corpers go there at great risk to their lives. And the minister calls this a sacrifice to the nation In fact I can't believe the two of you are even trying to rationalize this ministers statements. 3 Likes |

This minister is a bastard for all these statements! Only in Nigeria will you get away with all the things this man said. What is our sin in Nigeria gaaan?? Why are we cursed with all these fools in government? WHY |

That's what you get when you write a book past the 3rd one lol. Its nearly inevitable. There must be padding . . and GRRM manages his much better than a lot of authors out there 1 Like |

The books are really well written though. No arguments there. Even if it was peppered with "It is known" 1 Like |

@Myne_white I'm sure things will be sorted; my fear is whether I'll be satisfied with the sorting or not. I've come so far, even if I'm disappointed (like Christopher Paolini's last book) I won't stop. @Kay9 I agree with you somewhat. It does seem like GRRM fell into a pattern himself (while trying to break out of tradition) |

What I mean is, stories usually have central characters as a rule, and you get to like heroes/heroines in a book. These people tend to stay safe till the end (generally), since the story revolves around them. With George Martin's series, you have heroes and also 'anti-heroes', and he doesn't seem to respect any of his characters. One minute you're really getting into someone in the story, the next, he kills them off. And it happens far too often for my taste. In the end, you have a tendency to read the books with a detached air since any favorite might end up dead at any point in time. 1 Like |

Its interesting how serial cheats always come out with the line "all men cheat", and some women are also so quick to jump on the band wagon. Well, I hear it said all the time that Nigerian girls are shallow and materialistic, and I've had the experience of dating a woman who turned out to be shallow, but that doesn't mean I'd label all Nigerian girls with the same tag! For the record, I disagree, I don't cheat and I can't imagine why I would ever want to marry more than one woman. |

I concur with Sexkillz, an ex is an ex for a reason. Even if your partner's ok with it, don't take the piss. Respect yourself and keep off. Its a small price to pay for everyone's happiness. |

Unnecessary witch hunting of this guy. I wonder why he's the one who's been singled out as public enemy No.1? He's NOT Nigeria's problem. He's not even the least of Nigeria's problems. I wonder why people get all so emotional and ditch reason when it comes to this issue of Dbanj. Really, what did you expect him to say? Leave Dbanj alone and face the real issues pls. FYI: I'm not a fan of Dbanj. |
