joker5180: nobody doubted or denied that a woman can seek divorce frm her husband if she has cogent reason to do so,she can even take him to court if he refuses, but the issue was whether she can do that jst because he is marrying another wife. U dont seem to get it. If it was a clause the wife put in the contract befor marriage, then she has every right to call it off. It's a violation of the woman's trust. But if it wasnt discussed before, that i cannot say. |

Ibnjurayj: Maa shaa Allaah wallaahi it's a great reminder, may Allaah ease our affairs. But how are we gonna be able to answer these three questions right if there's no sincerity in our Deen? most of us left the Sunnah of the Messenger peace be upon him and imitate the sunnah of the confused kuffaar, Allaahul Musta'aan. That is why this islam exhorts us to strive towards perfection until our death. A muslim is expected is to continualy retrace his way back if he falls into error. May Allah make us be among those dat wil answer the questions correctly. |

Deols' argument is as compelling as its true. I usually wonder why is it dat most of agberos, garage n area boys turn out to be muslims. Many fathers are only concerned wit the procreation aspect, d real fathering work goes to d mothers. But polygamy in itself is not bad, only that its success or failure depends on the players involved. |

Sissie: On to lighter notes, if your wife chooses not to work, will you agree. P.s please no right or wrong answers, answer and state your views, dont attack other peoples views, it's a discussion not an argument. As for me o, if she chooses not to work as in bluecollar job, no prob. But i'd lyk her to hav a kind of 'shop' or whatever, |

You should have tried checking who /what are the primary instigators of the "war" and "bloodshed''; WWII, Israel, Soviet Republic, US Of America. |

onegig: When I or If i do prostrate to someone it will be as a show of love or as a form of greeting.
The first hadith has already covered this...All actions are based on your intentions.
My intention for greeting them by prostrating is not because they own me or they are lord over me but just a representation of the word "good morning or good day" and as a mark of respect. The Prophet preaches respect for the family and we all have our ways of showing respect. It all boils down to the intention. If you are bowing or prostrating to someone as paying homage or obeisance then that's when it is termed sin.
But as for me and from my own understanding. I don't think there's anything wrong in this. I don't have to prostrate on Third Mainland Bridge before God knows am paying obeisance to HIM as long I believe HE is ONE and The Only One nothing else matters. Yeah, u may be right. But I have seen mor dan one case where 'brothers' and their entire contigent flatly refused to prostrate. Caused no smal altercation.... |

onegig: Very funny...You mean you won't prostrate to your in laws when seeking the hand of their daughter in marriage if it is required by the culture?
Hmmm....you are taking it way too far..
Pray tell me what else would you do? Walk away when asked to do so or plainly refuse...Everything is judged by your intentions bro. Prostrating is adjudged by some scholars as a form of worship, dat means u may actually be paying obeisance to ur in-laws without knowing, something meant for God alone. That could be a sin u know |

tbaba1234: [b]Tribe and Marriage[/b
So what are your view on tribe and marriage? Are you willing to marry a muslim outside your tribe? Salam, i think people (or at least d yorubas) assume that marrying from one's tribe makes for better understanding between the couple. When we meet 2 strangers, most of us tend to feel more at home around one who is a fellow tribesman at the initial stages, so generally when it comes to serious issues like marriage, its a kind of subconscious thing to choose from the tribe. In my case, my growing into Islam has being a major factor in shedding a large part of this belief. Even though am not yet ready 4 dat step, I dont think tribe will be a condition. |

fatdon1: Former Zambian president, Mr. Rupiah Banda, was arrested on Monday by the country's law enforcement agents over allegations of corruption and abuse of office, following a crude oil import deal with Nigeria. Banda, according to an online news agency, hotnaijanews.com, was also alleged to have misappropriated about $11m during his three-year reign as President of the country. The country's authorities are accusing him of procuring oil which did not benefit the country. He was said to have imported crude oil from Nigeria without actual deliveries, despite the fact that the funds were deposited into the bank account of his son. Banda, who was released from police custody and is due to appear in court on Tuesday, however, said the moves against him are politically motivated. He was questioned for close to three hours after his arrest related to the oil deal Monday before he was released on bail. Banda denies the charges, and his lawyers claim the arrest is an attempt by current President Michael Sata to silence him. After his release, Banda appeared before his supporters and told them to remain calm, reassuring them he would win his case in court. Earlier this month, parliament lifted Banda's presidential immunity, clearing the way for him to be prosecuted for several corruption and abuse of office charges. Banda lost to President Michael Sata in 2011 elections. The new government has been pursuing the corruption investigations against the former leader and his political allies. Banda, born 13 February 1937, was President of Zambia from 2008 to 2011. During the Presidency of Kenneth Kaunda, Banda held important diplomatic posts and was active in politics as a member of the United National Independence Party. Years later, he was appointed as Vice-President by President Levy Mwanawasa in October 2006, following the latter's re- election. He took over Mwanawasa's presidential responsibilities after Mwanawasa suffered a stroke in June 2008, and following Mwanawasa's death in August 2008, he became acting President. As the candidate of the governing Movement for Multiparty Democracy, he narrowly won the October 2008 presidential election, according to official results. Opposition leader Michael Sata defeated Banda in the September 2011 presidential election, and Sata accordingly succeeded Banda as President on September 23, 2011. www.mobile.punchng.com/output.php?link=http://www.punchng.com/news/ex-zambian-president-arrested-over-nigerian-oil-deal/ www.m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-21925752 Wen wil Africa be ruled by leaders who are not driven by their parochial desires only?? |
