[ digging to bury cable is not the best practice. In a well planned society, ducts are made for use everywhere. You want to run your cable to a location then you use the access ducts that are in place. There is another practice for inter-city, it's called OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) An optical ground wire (also known as an OPGW or, in the IEEE standard, an optical fiber composite overhead ground wire) is a type of cable that is used in overhead power lines. Such cable combines the functions of grounding and communications. An OPGW cable contains a tubular structure with one or more optical fibers in it, surrounded by layers of steel and aluminum wire. The OPGW cable is run between the tops of high-voltage electricity pylons. The conductive part of the cable serves to bond adjacent towers to earth ground, and shields the high-voltage conductors from lightning strikes. The optical fibers within the cable can be used for high-speed transmission of data, either for the electrical utility's own purposes of protection and control of the transmission line, for the utility's own voice and data communication, or may be leased or sold to third parties to serve as a high-speed fiber interconnection between cities. Instead of digging from Lagos to Sokoto like we do, OPGW can be leased from TCN and used for means of communication delivery. But here, The TCN cable were given to Dangote Telecom and Phase3 Telecom own by the minister for communication under Obasanjo. We still have a long way to go. I see people breaking the road on the name of laying Fiber optic cable when they can loom into transboring below the surface of the road. Lack of Infrastructure is still a major problem in our dear own country. [1]uote author=sassysure post=78982396]What do u mean @op? Burying cables underground is the safest means employed world over for power connection or any thing that has to do with wire. Gosh! I used to love your topics.[/quote] |
omokab:Apart from that the rail system from Ibadan to Osogbo and to Kaduna is functional. The rail touches Osun, Kwara, Niger and Kaduna. |
zoedew:The place is somewhere around Olodo on your way to iwo in Osun state. |
Now I know your hatred for good things and realities have gone into your head. You need urgent medical attention. Super highway and deep-sea port require some ecological licences. The garment Factory you critized have take some ladies off the streets. During Imoke's time, Cross River had enough money to spend on better things, then what has he done, nothing. Most governors, do their projects during theie second term but he has laid his hands on major and critical things just in four years. Maybe you will appreciate him better if you are from my state. |

When you argue, try do it with common sense and not insult others. It's a personal opinion and not a general fact. I have been to this sites investigating the projects and believe me these are projects you can see if you do there yourself. http://garment.ayade-achievements.com/ garfield1: |
Except for the power plant that require some certain things, Garment Factor has employed 5000 people, the cocoa factor is also test running |
Emmanuel Udom should cover his face in disgrace, he his the highest paid governor in terms of monthly allocation yet, he has nothing to show for it. I came across this website. www.ayade-achievements.com Cross River has no oil well and yet he does not owe salaries, they receive their salaries before 25th of every month. Come to think of if it, what if the state is with oil wells? |
This last four years has shown us that any governor who cannot make wealth for his state is not worthy of that seat. My focus is on the south south states where oil is and people still suffer like hell. The only state I have seen functioning to an extent is Cross River State. Ben Ayade of that state has proved that there is no state that cannot generate revenue without tax burden. Garment Factory Rice City 21MW power plant Cocoa Processing Plant and many other things. |
I am interested if it's available |
