the same pinnick crucified keshi for fielding mostly home based players in his team then and worked very hard in convincing some of the foreign born players we have in the team today and is still working on bringing more on board then why this sudden ultimatum in rohr's contract that he must reside in nigeria in order to look inwards to unearth the next messi,cr7 and gigi buffon?
Maybe the motivating factor for his regular travels then was his personal travelling allowance benefits and not out of genuine patriotism in modesty

the u20 and u23 teams which are suppose to serve as the nursery to the super eagles team were compromised but everyone turned a blind eye to it rather ranting and screaming that rohr should take the useless contract offered to him or he should leave.

the same abundant talents scattered all over nigeria were ignored when amakabo and the u20 coach assembled teams that are rated as the worst the country have come up with in this decade. nonsense!
Very well said in resonance

spot on
Yes spot on that Rohr is selecting or inviting players on merit right

And not based on any yeye home based discovery tag that often fade away in no time due to age falsification.

Look brother, if you see me in real life, you won't ever believe that I am already over 40 ooo

So, as a footballer, I can claim 20, 21, 22, 23 or 24 just to find myself in Oversea oooo

Clemence Westerhof, Bonfrere Jo and other coaches did a lot to develop me... Finidi George.

Some people think when Westerhof found the likes of Oliseh, Amokachi and Finidi George, they were finished products. Forgetting our coaches put in a lot of work to turn these gems into polished stars that became the toast of Europe.

Sitting in Europe and expecting Zidane to drop from the local league, is far from hilarious. There is a lot of work to be done for our national team coach to stay in Europe lounging.
Even the Zidane you mentioned have scouts and coaches in the academy that helps discover potential Real Madrid players

And that's exactly what other age grade coaches are supposed to be doing for Rohr where they have all failed woefully in

Or why was Imama drafted from the super eagles to the U23 Eagles and the attendant Olympic failure?

They will not be in the scene if the clubs did not do bulk of the work. Rohr just picks who clubs do the work to expose. Yes, Aribo and Uzoho would make the Super Eagles without Rohr. Ndidi and Iheanacho did so without Rohr. Simon Moses did so without Rohr.
But all you have been mentioning are foreign based.

We want you to mention and pinpoint myriads of local players that you want Rohr to unearth via Super Eagles invitation since you want him stay put in Nigeria as if

Bonfre Jo, Bora Milutinovic, Philippe Troussier, Thijs Libregts, Berti Vogts and Las Lagerback did flourished in the regard you are staking and promoting courtesy of the clauses in the New contract in waiting

oh okay.. Well since Rohr want's a tall striker option then he needs to consider Sadiq versus Onuachu. Maybe he doesn't see Sadiq as strong enough. Onuachu doesn't fit in based on the way we play. I no understand Rohr logic on this one.
I think the reason is because Onuachu has been consistent with his club performance enough, hence the continued invitation.

So, I bet you if Sadiq equally continues in the form he is in the year 2020, he would get an invite from Rohr since Onuachu hasn't cut it already going by the opportunity given him already

We had foreign based players. Off the top, I can give you Efan Ekoku, Keshi, Jonathan Akpoborie, Emenalo, Owubokiri, Alloy Agu, Peter Rufai.
And they were still part of the his team na isn't it?

What I mean is the below

Is only westerhorf the foreign Coach Nigeria ever had? Besides, mention 5 to 6 other local players he discovered from his parambolating around to watch our league matches that was even top notch back then unlike now apart from Amokachie and Oliseh

What about Bonfre Jo, Bora Milutinovic, Manfred Hoener, Philippe Troussier, Thijs Libregts, Berti Vogts,
Las Lagerback? Which local players of note did they discovered inspite of their involvement with the local scene?

Tell the coach to sit down and do his work. Did I name Amokachi and Oliseh for Westerhof?
You keep mentioning Amokachie and Oliseh during westerhorf. How many of the players plays oversea back then.

Is only westerhorf the foreign Coach Nigeria ever had?

What about Bonfre Jo, Bora Milutinovic, Manfred Hoener, Philippe Troussier, Thijs Libregts, Berti Vogts,
Las Lagerback?

Although Manfred Hoener preceded Clemens Westerhorf anyway.

What local players in particular did they discovered?

So Rhor should scout for 16 yrs old?
What is now the duty of under 14,u-17 coaches?
Very good question from you to him Dear.

Can a true 16, 17 or 18 years old even be found in the league?

I bet you it would be a 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 or even a 25 years old that would be claiming to be 17, 18 at the moment.

A true Super talented 16, 17, 18 years old doesn't have the money to bribe his way through to the top NPFL clubs let alone to be exposed to the world from the NPFL platform

Just asking, Nigeria seems to have alot of strikers performing well in their various clubs, I don't know how they plan on squeezing them into the NNTS
Yes we have very many strikers doing creditably well around the world but the coach Rohr has a policy of inviting them based on current form while also limiting the total number of the said strikers to a specific figure since all the strikers cannot make up the whole starting 11 every now and then

Probably but if Rohr gets to settle out his contract palava, he should be sending an invite to him (Sadiq) though

Yes he did and like Rohr once posited, All Nigerian players cannot be invited at the same time. But that should change soon if he (Sadiq Umar) continues the way he is doing at present.

Nigerian Federation Yet To Make A Move For Highly-Rated Switzerland U19 Captain

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Nigeria Football Federation are yet to make a move for highly-rated FC Zurich defensive midfielder Simon Sohm.

The Swiss Football Association have taken the first steps to cap-tie the 2001-born player, handing him caps at U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 levels.

Born in Zurich, Sohm captained Switzerland in the U19 EURO qualifiers against Ireland and Austria in November, and also wore the captain's armband in a friendly against Italy three months ago.

He became provisionally cap-tied to the Swiss when he started from the off against Northern Ireland in an U17 EURO qualifier in October 2017, and captained the U15-U18 teams before earning a promotion to the U19s a year ago.

Sohm became the first 2001-born player to debut in the Swiss Super League, aged 17 years, 6 months and 17 days when he replaced Adrian Winter in a 3-2 loss to FC St. Gallen on Oct 28, 2018.

He could follow in the footsteps of Noah Okafor, Manuel Akanji and Innocent Emeghara and pledge his international future to Switzerland if he is not approached by the Nigerian Federation.

Including two matches in the Europa League, Sohm has played 27 games as a professional for FC Zurich, scoring one goal.

Roma Loanee Sadiq Achieves Scoring Feat Not Managed By Messi, Lewandowski, Mane

Former Nigeria U23 international Umar Sadiq is the most decisive Nigerian player in Europe so far in the 2019-2020 campaign, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The Roma loanee is the only Nigerian player to have reached double figures for goals and assists this season, a feat which has not been managed by the likes of Barcelona's Lionel Messi (13 goals, 6 assists), Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski (19 goals, 2 assists) and African Player of the Year in waiting, Liverpool's Sadio Mane (9 goals, 6 assists).

The Partizan Belgrade frontman has directly contributed to an astonishing 21 goals (11 goals, 10 assists) in 18 matches in the Serbian Super Liga so far this season.

Sadiq has risen to the challenge since moving to Serbia in the summer transfer window after a difficult spell at Glasgow Rangers, where he claimed even Liverpool hero Steven Gerrard conspired against him.

The 22-year-old also showed his quality in the Europa League qualifying rounds and group stage, having a hand in 7 goals (5 goals, 2 assists) from 12 appearances.

If he continues his consistency in the second half of the season, then a Super Eagles call-up and a move to a more glamorous team could be in the offing in 2020.

Africa: Mikel, Musa Make African Team of the Decade

28 DECEMBER 2019

This Day (Lagos)

Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi and Ahmed Musa have been included in the African Team of the Decade.

The list was unveiled by SuperSports and published on their verified Twitter handle on Friday.

Also included in the list are Egytian legend Essam El Hadary, Serge Aurier of Cote d'Ivoire, Kalidou Koulibaly of Senegal, Morocco's Mehdi Benatia and Kwadwo Asamoah of Ghana.

Others who also made the list are Cote d'Ivoire's Yaya Toure, Sadio Mane of Senegal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon and Asamoah Gyan of Ghana.

In the decade in review, Mikel won the Premier League title in 2009/2010 and 2014/2015 with Chelsea.

He won the FA Cup and Champions League at Chelsea in 2012 and added the 2013 Europa League title.

With the Super Eagles, he played a key role as they won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

And in 2016, he captained the U-23 Eagles to the bronze medal at the Rio Olympic games in Brazil.

After departing Chelsea, Mikel signed for Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda in 2017 before returning to England to sign for Middlesbrough in the Championship.

He currently plies his trade with Turkish club Trabzonspor

For Musa, he won the Russian league in 2013, 2014, 2016, the Russian Cup in 2012 and 2013 then added the Super Cup in 2013 and 2014.

Musa was top scorer of the Russian Cup in 2013 and made the list of 33 best players of the Russian Championship the same year.

With the Super Eagles, he was part of the 2013 AFCON winning side, scoring in the 4-1 semi-final win against Mali.

And in 2014, he was included in the CAF Team of the Year.

It would be recalled that Musa joined Leicester City from CSKA Moscow in 2016, went back on loan to CSKA on 2018 before permanently joining Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr.
