But to answer your question, I think the question is flawed. Marriage decision should be about what defines the particular person....what is his personality....If being a Nigerian pastor is all that defines him, then you may be making a wrong choice. Who is he outside his pastoral duties? This should be your concern as you will live with his person more than his duties?
But if this questions is all about mocking the Nigerian pastor, then it will be very unfortunate....
if it is easy to be a pastor and make money, I wonder why some critics have not decided to be pastors.
Pastors don't live on tithes, and in an ideal church,pastors don't have anything to do with Church's tithes. Most pastors are on salary, and some don't even collect salary because they have their own business.

Most of you often question the decision of pastors to own business, but you have failed to acknowledge the fact that pastors have responsibilities of providing for their immediate family and sending their children to good schools. Besides, if a Pastor has not defeated poverty, how will he convince his members that God is able to provide for all their needs. I grew up in CAC, and I know how pastors and their families suffer to live. But things are changing now, and most pastors are business minded. Shepherding a church does not exclude you from doing business. It is nothing but a mental laziness not to think of strategic business that will not take your time. It is now all about insights, and that is the advantage of some pentecostal pastors we have today. In my church, my Pastor is the number one tither. He preaches on Tue, Wed, and twice on Sundays, yet he still have time for his private business. There are so many other pastors like that. It is quite unfortunate that many people still expect to see Pastors in tattered dress, and cherish the the feelings that they are the one feeding pastors and his family.
I just have the feelings that most people here abusing men of God are still in their twenties or have not encountered the power of God in their lives. Most critics I have met in my life are the most frustrated human beings on earth. But I have never seen a rich and blessed person criticize anyhow. Constructive criticism is welcomed, but when it comes to being abusive, then I can bet that the critics are either poor, broke, jobless,frustrated, or unbelievers.

However, God granted me a 1st class as well as best graduating student in my school. In achieving this,I did the following:
1. I read as if I will not pray then I prayed as if I will not read (learnt that from my days in deeper life bible church)
2. I gave God all glory.
3. I always confessed Psalm 119:99 and it came to pass in my life.
4. I never forgot the role of grace in my achievements as written in Romans 11:6

Secondly,in this ur theory of total annihilation from existence (which many use to console themselves and assuade their conscience) where does what Jesus said in Mark 9:42-47 come in? I quote:

It is long I saw that video but i remember he mentioned that hell was not designed for man but for fallen angels. Hell is a place of reservation for judgemnt for the fallen angels 2 peter 2:4

His understanding on this topic is flawed. There is no hell after death. After death is judgement. It is appointed unto man to die once and after that judgement. After death , the wicked are asleep waiting for the resurrection on to judgement.

It is after this judgement that the wicked are thrown into the lake of fire to be destroyed, not to be tormented for eternity. Read your bible.

I have read your comment but did you listen to him or read the scriptures he quoted? I doubt because i dont see any where he said the wicked are thrown into the lake of fire before judgement.
Why not watch something properly before condemning? Am sure you never read the book of revelations he used as his main text. Every scripture you quoted above was quoted by him so am lost as to where your arguments are coming from.
One more thing, the OP asked for insights and i posted a link which might be of help, why don't you write something constructive that will shed light on this issue? The amount of energy you spent condemning the video would have been put to better use by throwing more light on the subject because i dont see anything you wrote which was not addressed in that video. You need to take time to study things before jumping to conclusions and condemning them.
Even if he was wrong, there are polite ways of correcting. Some of us here are learning and am open to corrections.
My suggestions is that you e-mail him your concerns about his video so he can make the appropriate correction if he is misleading people. Thank you.

Enoquin: I was reading the book of Daniel and I saw that when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were cast into the furnace for not bowing down to the golden image, Daniel or rather Belteshazzar was not with them. My question is: was he (Daniel) not in the city or if he was, did he bow with the others?

Praise God brethren. I am glad this topic was brought up. I believe i answered a similar question here ages back (if i remember correctly).
This was a question that was brought up while i was at the university of ibadan during our IVCU family meetings where we ask questions. So the president asked us to do some research and come back with answers from the bible. Different people gave different answers the following week but the one that was accepted by all including myself is what I will share with you because I believe only the Holy spirit could give such insight.

But before i start, permit me to humbly correct one mistake i noticed, Daniel sitting at the king'S gate does not mean Daniel took a lower position than his friends'. A gate as used in the bible like in the books of job, ezekiel, etc means a place where decisions are taken. most translations use 'court'.

The answer to the question is right there in the bible :
Daniel 2:46
Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, prostrate before Daniel, and commanded that they should present an offering and incense to him.

Babylon was the greatest empire in existence as at that time. Infact, King Nebuchadnezzar ruling the world and as such he bows to no man except his gods. By king Nebuchadnezzar bowing down to Daniel, he made Daniel a god hence he asked that an offering and incense should be presented to him.

What am I saying? All am saying is that King Nebuchadnezzar made Daniel a god and as such, when the golden image and other gods were being bowed to, Daniel needed not bow because he already attained the status of a god so he stood as a god.

She is a very nice, cheerful and simple girl. As a born catholic, she never misses early morning masses and other society meetings. She is really dedicated to her academic work (a student of College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra state) and also to church work.
On that fateful day, as usual, she was on her to the church for the early mass, she was intercepted by a group of boys who raped her mercilessly, each one taking his turn. As a result of that, the girl drifted into unconciousness. As the day brightened, people spotted her and took her to the hospital where she regained conciousness and also narrated her ordeal. The doctor adviced that she returned after 3months to check her HIV status, at least to be on the safer side.
After 3 months, she went in for the check up and she was told that she tested positive for HIV. She was so heartbroken and vowed to share the national cake to any guy that crosses her path. She packed up all her belongings and left school for Port-harcourt where she started her "ashawo" career.
After sometime, she returned to her school to check on her result, only for her to bump into the doctor that treated her. The doctor was so happy, saying that he has been searching for her everywhere, that he wants to tell her something concerning her test. The girl actually tested negative for HIV, the mistake was from the hospital lab scientists.
She was so weak on hearing that news. Weak, angry, furious, all the likes, she felt like strangling the doctor.
After 3months, she went back for check up and this time, she really tested positive for HIV after confirming from 2 other hospitals....
My question is this: she beleived in God; she served him; she loved him and just a little test of faith she failed woefully.
What made her do that? Did she just loose faith in God or what? Why didnt she call on God to help her? Why take matters into her hands.... Coming to the religious part of her life, did she just loose faith cus of the pain or she was just a church-goer all along, maybe sort of a camouflage?

The truth is that most churches (deeper life, mfm and RCCG) tend to lower their standards in the uk and US all in the name of being 'more accommodating and tolerant'. You wouldnt blame them cos it is difficult to get christians in these places and to now drive the few you have is not wisdom; So I doubt if the UK branches will follow suit.
It is funny that most people even members of RCCG dont know that RCCG does not also support women wearing trousers.
