onuman: Lagos is no man's land. Every ethnic group in Nigeria contributed to building Lagos. Money from crude oil in the Niger delta region contribute to building Lagos. You from Okitipapa Illishan can't claim Lagos.
For your best interest, declare Oduduwa Republic so that you own Lagos.
You need to go to school so you can have sense small
Jlow2: go and ask why Warri has become a shadow of itself and lost its glory, our oyel, go back to your state, marching ground, land grabbers, etc, remove the seaport in Lagos , and make the eastern ports ,ph , Calabar , more effective, you will see what happens, after 2023 election many eyes opened , ask real estate agents and they will tell you, 70 percent of the containers belongs to a particular tribe, and own 80percent of markets the state govt generate Igr , no matter how educated you re if you re clouded with bigotry and ethnic resentment, you remain a stark illiterate, the greatest man from ur tribe tried it with 20 pounds policy after the war, he died by making it simple for himself with rat poison ,
Same rhetoric, una no get shame. Go back to your region to develop it.
Has the cost of travel to Ogbomoso, Igboho, Ilorin, Osogbo, Abeokuta and other Yoruba towns not changed as well far above the increase in wages and employment, thereby increasing poverty of everyone across tribes
lumens: Nigerian politics like every other one requires some strategies and political calculations including alignments, defections, patience and a stroke of luck.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a serial Nigerian politician. Having served as the former vice-president of the country between 1999-2007, he has been contesting for the highest office in the land since 1993.
In the build up to the 2015 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar led some governors out of the PDP and forged an alignment that birthed the current APC.
In my opinion, Atiku could have thrown his weight behind Goodluck Jonathan and ensured he won the 2015 election. This is what President Bola Tinubu did when he patiently waited for President Buhari to finish eight years before throwing his hat into the ring.
The gang up against President Jonathan in 2015 that ensured his defeat ended Atiku's hopes of ever becoming President of Nigeria.
Your thoughts?
It looks plausible on paper. Atiku is going nowhere
She is in the public space interfering with a case that has nothing to do with her but claiming that another person, a perceived victim, is whipping up public sentiment. She should have kept her allegation to herself and provided it in testimony against the victim in a court of law when called upon. Funny enough, she is now defender of due process. An online chieftaincy title.
You sincerely do not have many better options, and Peter Obi is the best thing economically, in terms of security, democracy and advancement.
1. Peter Obi is the best to fight insecurity. Anambra was the safest State throughout his tenure. He appoints people against insecurity and goes to hold the bull by the horns.
Doesn't allow any matter to slip by. He destroyed all houses reported to belong to kidnappers.
2. Peter Obi will hand over to a competent President. That is another thing to consider. You can never be sure of this with a career politician. They may keep handing over to funny lots till the end of your life. But Peter Obi will hand over to someone better than himself. That's your posterity at stake, and assured.
3 . Low unemployment. Anambra had quite a low unemployment rate during his tenure. He is efficient in seeing people work and in improving the work environment.
4. Rising Literacy. Voting Peter Obi means higher national literacy levels. Anambra consistently had the best WAEC results during his tenure. Peter Obi will insure the correct functioning and attendance of Secondary Schools. Higher national literacy will also mean a safer country, with less untrained minds and attitudes.
ExAngel007: The oppression of young voices is a dangerous path that we must not normalize - Peter Obi condemns arrest of VDM
Politician and 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has condemned the manner in which social critic, Martins Otse aka Very Dark Man, was arrested last Friday, May 2.
In a post shared on his X handle, Obi stated that the way VDM was picked up by the security agents, said to be EFCC operatives, has left many Nigerians unsettled.
He argued that the backlash the bank he was picked up from has faced since his arrest will further erode Nigeria's fragile investors' confidence. He opined that the oppression of young voices, whether through force, patronage, or intimidation, is a dangerous path that we must not normalise.
We reject ibos in Lagos politics. Just as ibo will never allow non-ibos in their states, they don't have any right in others spaces too. Especially not in Yoruba land, and we will continue massive sensitization on this. Do whatever you like with this information. 😜
The Labour Party Caretaker Committee Chair and former Finance Minister Nenadi Usman has said what Nigerians had in 2015 has reduced to 10% of its worth today.
According to her, the APC government has toppled Nigeria's economy.
Also, Nenadi slams Tinubu for destroying democracy in Nigeria while asking Nigerians to brace up To dislodge the APC government.
REBUTTAL TO Oby Ezekwesili’S EMOTIVE PROPAGANDA MASQUERADING AS A MEMO
Madam Ezekwesili, your desperate attempt to reframe Natasha Akpoti’s well-documented pattern of falsehood and political manipulation as a “cry for justice” is not only intellectually dishonest but also a gross insult to the intelligence of Nigerians and the integrity of our legal system.
Let’s be clear: support for justice must be rooted in veritas—truth. What you are defending is not justice. It’s the weaponization of gender narratives and public sympathy to obstruct lawful inquiries and shield your political ally from the consequences of her own inconsistencies, contradictions, and complete lack of admissible evidence.
You claim an incorruptible record, yet your actions now speak volumes: inserting yourself into an ongoing legislative probe to stir public sentiment and derail due process under the guise of activism. This is a classic case of obstruction of justice in spirit, and if not, in letter. If you were truly concerned about justice, you would advocate for facts, evidence, and procedure—not emotional distractions or social media theatrics.
Madam, your role as a former public servant comes with a moral duty not to lend your voice to charades designed to manipulate the judiciary of public opinion. Your endorsement of a clearly discredited narrative bereft of verifiable proof is not activism; it is complicity.
No matter how many sentimental hashtags or “unwavering memos” you post, the law is not swayed by emotional blackmail or public posturing. It is guided by actus reus, mens rea, and prima facie evidence. And on all three fronts, Natasha Akpoti has woefully failed.
To the Nigerian people: the committee investigating these serious allegations must not be deliberately disrupted by individuals who exploit gender solidarity to shield political allies. No form of orchestrated interference or misplaced loyalty should be allowed to obstruct a lawful process grounded in truth, evidence, and justice. ( Though, its been adjourned indefinitely as Natasha exclaimed and celebrated )
Justice is not a gendered performance. It is a matter of fact, law, and conscience.
Respectfully, A Defender of Due Process and the Dignity of Womanhood
This ranting thing was not up in arms when she was in corridor of power, when she had opportunity to influence direction of Nigeria policies. Na now she begin to bark. You go bark till eternity oOoOO😜
So I got back from work today to see Prof Mgbeke Sandra Duru's video, while I did not watch everything from start to finish, I did notice some inconsistencies I'll like to point out.
1. Prof Mgbeke claims she does not know SP Akpabio but a review of her live video shows that he's saved in her phone and is actually one of her most recent chats. It's also shown clearly in the video @ 47 mins in, that she was in a voice call with him recently. Don't take my word for it, investigate by yourself.
2. Her failed attempts to pronounce some basic Igbo names in an attempt to seem posh we're easy to see through. This is a lady that lived and worked in the East for many years, some of those years were in the corridors of power in Imo state, how can she not know these pronunciations?
3. She has not explained why Natasha contacted her in the first place. Sounds ridiculous that Natasha will send such messages to someone she does not know (prof Mgbeke claims she didn't know Natasha till Natasha reached out to her via Whatsapp), sending messages that could destroy her if exposed to an untrusted and unvetted third party? How's that make sense??
4. Prof Mgbeke claims she has integrity because she was raised by Whites....(I have personal issues with that line of thought but I am trying to be free of sentiments in my review)...It is a fact that Prof Mgbeke has had dealings in the past with politicians in Nigeria, infact it is stated that she thought about forming a party to contest for imo governorship herself, and many allegations were made against her character, such a person valuing integrity is laughable. Show me a politician who values integrity, they're all the same to me, none of them impresses me (with the exception of one who shall not be named as they're not party to this shit show).
So there you have it, I tried to remain objective and impartial. My final conclusion, I think prof Mgbeke is being malicious and fraudulent in her assertions.
Reeks of partiality! You are not impartial at all but one sided already ☹️
Boomdoom: I don't think you understand English. I have no business with you or Peter Obi. If you’ve read the article and still can't see how the aide’s claim is misleading, then you should leave this thread immediately and enroll in an English language class to brush up on your comprehension skills.
Its pure logic. If peter built something like tinubu did he will not be in that boat 8 years after his tenure.
