Politics › Re: Is Nnamdi Kanu's Prediction About To Happen? by Kdon2: 6:22am On May 19
youngEmelex:
Nnamdi Kanu started his radio program since 2014 but he didn't become popular until after Buhari took over in 2015. He actually gained much public attention in 2016. His broadcast and public speeches gave him more fame than the Biafra agitation. Igbos actually didn't pay much attention to him when he first started because the truth is that majority of the Igbos had move on and forgotten about the Biafran agitation. What later triggered outrage among the Igbos was the revelations the young man was making. He predicted that their is a Fulanization agenda and that the whole of Southeast will be invaded by Fulani militia if they failed to form a resistance movement. These predictions caused Igbos in diaspora who were afraid to loose their homes to start donating heavily for the creation of what they later called ESN. Now, let's look at these predictions to see if Nnamdi Kanu was actually deceiving the Igbos just to gain public attention and sympathy. Firstly, If there is a Fulanization and Islamization agenda, the target will be Abuja not Southeast. Once Abuja is conquered and Asorock taken over by the jihadists, the rest of Nigeria will fall including the Southeast therefore, there is no need for the jihadists to invade the southeast when the country's capital, Abuja is still intact. They will invade Abuja first and conquer it then declare islamization from there. If any invasion is to happen, Jihadists will be seen marching towards the federal capital as was seen in Mali last month. What we have in the bushes are criminal Fulani elements who destroy farms and kidnap people for ransome. The solution to this is to ban open grazing and establish state police. Nothing else can solve these problems if the solutions I mentioned here are not implemented. This has nothing to do with Fulanization, Islamization or even Christian genocide. The predictions of Nnamdi are all false
That one dey rot for prison right now🤪
Politics › Re: Field Report: Senator Ned Nwoko Floors Okowa Across Delta North by Kdon2: 8:46pm On May 18
We
Jammythebless:
FIELD REPORT: SENATOR NED NWOKO FLOORS OKOWA ACROSS DELTA NORTH AS RESULTS BECOME UNMISTAKABLE

Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko has delivered what field observers are already describing as a sweeping and decisive victory over former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the Delta North Senatorial primaries.

Across the 98 wards that make up the district, on-ground reports, corroborated by video evidence and real-time documentation, point to one clear and consistent outcome: Senator Nwoko has overwhelmingly dominated the exercise, establishing control in well over 90 percent of the wards.

Across the 9 local government areas, the pattern has been impossible to ignore. Massive, organic turnout. Open declarations. Repeated chants of Senator Ned Nwoko’s name.

In ward after ward, the disparity between both camps was stark. While Senator Ned Nwoko’s presence translated into numbers, energy, and visible alignment, the Okowa camp struggled to generate comparable traction on the ground.

What distinguishes this outcome is not just the scale, but the nature of the support. There were no signs of artificial padding, no evidence of manufactured turnout. What played out across Delta North was a people driven affirmation, loud, and impossible to suppress.

Although the APC National Primary Election Committee is yet to make an official declaration, the reality on the ground has already taken shape. Constituents across the district are in high spirits, not in anticipation, but in recognition of what they have witnessed firsthand.

For many within Delta North, this is no longer a contest awaiting results, it is a concluded exercise awaiting formal confirmation.

The implications are equally clear. A candidate who commands this level of organic acceptance stands in sharp contrast to one burdened by ongoing EFCC case. The mood across the district reflects not just a choice, but a rejection.

The people have spoken, and they have done so emphatically.
Are you sure about this your propaganda?👇🏿

Titusele87:
Ejiofor Seeks Criminal Probe Into Fapohunda’s Ethnic Comments

Titus Eleweke

Renowned Nigerian human rights lawyer and lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has formally petitioned relevant Nigerian security and law-enforcement agencies to immediately investigate the alleged inflammatory utterances and conduct of Akin Fapohunda.
Ejiofor gave the authorities 72 hours to commence an investigation into what he described as hate-filled and ethnically intimidating remarks allegedly made by Fapohunda, warning that he would institute legal action should the agencies fail to act within the stipulated period.
In a statement titled, “Monday Musings: When Political Threats Echo Rwanda: Why Nigeria Must Ruthlessly Confront Ethnic Intimidation Before It Consumes the Nation The Imperative of Investigating Akin Fapohunda’s Inflammatory Rhetoric,” issued on Monday, Ejiofor stated that ethnic intimidation, reckless provocation, and statements capable of endangering national unity must not be tolerated in any civilised and democratic society.
According to him, silence or inaction in the face of such dangerous rhetoric would amount to a grave failure of constitutional responsibility.
“Accordingly, if no visible investigative action is taken within seventy-two (72) hours from today, I shall proceed to institute a direct criminal complaint against Akin Fapohunda in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
The human rights lawyer further noted that the reckless weaponisation of ethnicity for political intimidation remains one of the gravest threats to national unity, democratic stability, and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
Ejiofor argued that history has repeatedly shown that nations do not descend into chaos overnight, but are gradually pushed toward instability through dangerous rhetoric, unchecked hate speech, and the silence of institutions expected to act decisively.
“Recent statements credited to Afenifere chieftain, Akin Fapohunda, have understandably generated widespread concern, particularly among voters from certain ethnic groups residing across the South-West, especially Lagos State. Any declaration that remotely suggests catastrophic consequences, violence, or genocidal comparisons should citizens exercise their constitutional right to vote according to conscience is not merely irresponsible; it is profoundly dangerous,” he stated.
He warned that Nigeria must never trivialise inflammatory ethnic rhetoric, especially comments invoking memories reminiscent of the Rwanda genocide, which remains one of humanity’s darkest chapters.
“The genocide in Rwanda did not begin with weapons; it began with poisonous rhetoric, ethnic profiling, fear-mongering, and threats disguised as political commentary. History warns us that words, when left unchecked, can become accelerants of violence,” he added.
According to Ejiofor, what should deeply concern every reasonable Nigerian is not necessarily whether the individual making such statements possesses the capacity to execute any implied threat, but the atmosphere of fear such rhetoric creates among citizens.
He stated that comments capable of instilling fear in millions of innocent citizens, discouraging electoral participation, or making people feel unsafe in any part of Nigeria strike at the very heart of constitutional democracy.
Ejiofor stressed that it is imperative for Nigeria’s security agencies to rise above selective enforcement and demonstrate institutional neutrality.
He recalled how inflammatory ethnic tensions contributed to hostility and avoidable casualties during the 2023 general elections, particularly in Lagos State, warning that the country cannot afford a repeat of such toxicity ahead of the 2027 elections.
“By this communication, I formally petition the relevant Nigerian security and law-enforcement agencies to immediately investigate the inflammatory utterances and conduct of Akin Fapohunda.
“Ethnic intimidation, reckless provocation, and statements capable of endangering national unity must not be tolerated in any civilised and democratic society. Silence or inaction in the face of such dangerous rhetoric would constitute a grave failure of constitutional duty.
“Accordingly, if no visible investigative action is taken within seventy-two (72) hours from today, I shall proceed to institute a direct criminal complaint against Akin Fapohunda in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he reiterated.
Ejiofor further maintained that there must be a decisive end to impunity and reckless utterances capable of threatening public peace and national cohesion.
According to him, security agencies owe Nigerians a duty to thoroughly investigate any statement capable of provoking ethnic hostility, political violence, or public unrest, irrespective of the status, tribe, or political affiliation of the individual involved.
He cautioned that silence in the face of dangerous rhetoric could be interpreted as tacit approval, adding that history has shown that institutional indifference often fertilises the ground for national tragedies.
“At a time when Nigerians are already burdened by severe economic hardship, insecurity, and deep social anxieties, the political class and influential voices must embrace restraint, moderation, and statesmanship, not incendiary declarations capable of tearing apart the country’s fragile national cohesion.
“Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians.
“No ethnic group has a superior claim to nationhood, and no citizen should ever be threatened for exercising democratic choices. Political disagreements must never degenerate into ethnic hostility, intimidation, or veiled threats of violence.
“The future of Nigeria can only be secured through justice, equity, mutual respect, and peaceful democratic engagement, never through fear, coercion, or ethnic blackmail disguised as political advocacy.
“Let this serve as a solemn reminder that hate-filled rhetoric, if left unchecked, eventually consumes both the target and the society that tolerates it,” he stated.
This one never sabi anything for that Lagos. Una eyes go peel 😜
Politics › Re: NDC: They May Have Sold Peter Obi A Dummy For A Second Time by Kdon2: 5:16pm On May 18
Reinvented:
If my hunches are right, Peter Obi may have been sold a dummy ... AGAIN!!! The last time was LP, now it is NDC. His desperation may have been leveraged on again to shortchange him. Before you castigate me, look at it this way.

Weeks before Kwankwaso joined the ADC, he was invited by the president to join the APC. After a series of meetings, we were told the alliance failed because he wanted to be made the VP. Despite his rejection, the governor of Kano State, Kwankwaso's political protege, joined the same APC. Instead of facing impeachment and other challenges like Fubara, he got away with it. Kwankwaso then joined the ADC, which was forming a formidable opposition to the APC nationally, with Atiku and Obi as the arrowheads.

A few weeks later, the NDC was registered by the INEC, and boom, Kwankwaso and Obi defect to the NDC. This action effectively weakened ADC's capacity to defeat Tinubu.

What I sense is that Kwankwaso might have been used to lure Peter Obi out of the ADC, thereby undermining the capacity of a single opposition alliance to wrestle power from Tinubu. I foresee the Kwankwasiya Movement later realigning with the APC soon after the 2027 elections or even before the elections. That way, Kwankwaso would be a possible APC flagbearer in 2031. There are ominous reasons to believe that the current NSA, who was originally a possible candidate for 2031, may have been dropped by the "puppet master", Tinubu.

In mt opinion, Peter Obi is not really a strategic politician, even though some of us believe he would have been a better president than Tinubu. Leaving the coalition has left the opposition with shared votes. Then again comes GEJ, who would be flying the PDP torn umbrella under a faction, rather than the full house.

In all of this, my only wish is that Tinubu should endeavour to translate his political strategy and sagacity into economic and political benefits for Nigeria.
You try bro. Your prognosis might be correct.

Politics › Re: Ogbomosho Attack; Are Schools The New Battlefield And Targets In Yoruba Land? by Kdon2: 1:35am On May 18
HomeofSolution:
Rising wave of insecurity in Yorubaland; Ogbomosho school attack in focus+ forest reserve gradually becoming terrorist camp.

While the attention of the majority are on 2027 election, social media trends and football games, villagers and other rural dwellers are shedding blood, losing sleep, properties, relatives and means of livelihood to insecurity in Nigeria.

Over time, have published articles across media channels citing operation of terrorists in the Middlebelt and Northern Nigeria, and the need for Yoruba elders, Statesmen and Political office holders to be proactive in implementing security policies and approach to tame this widespread insecurity gradually encroaching some parts of Yorubaland, spreading down from the North-Central states of Kwara state and Kogi state.

The simultaneous attacks on primary and secondary schools in Ogbomosho area of Oyo state on Friday that claimed the lives of a school principal, teachers and pupils, with many yet to be found whether dead or alive, and some taken into the forest as hostages. this affront and other underreported attacks are justification of my publications and security perspective of once secured territory but seems overran by terrorists from the sahel with sleeper cells living among us, studying our terrain and exploiting the weakness of Yoruba people which is the culture of accommodating and welcoming known and unknown elements.

The coordinated attack targeted schools in different areas of Ahoro-Esinele, Oriire Local Government, Oyo state. The swiftness of this terrorist operation without counter efforts to checkmate the assailant but reactive response from our security agencies is enough reason for our political leaders and security experts to restrategize and review the current security operation to avert further occurrence.

Are schools the new battlefield and targets?

Many people are afraid of traveling because the roads are not secure from kidnappers, Farming is no longer attractive due to threat of kidnapping and killings, church service are conducted in fear and schools are now becoming the new battlefield and targets of these evil machinations that are leaving sorrow, tears and blood across the country.

Yoruba people are peace loving people but not weaklings, it's time for our lawmakers to enact laws and give support to traditional security force I. e Oodua People's Congress (O.P.C) across all local government in Southwest to serve as first responder in every zone, while the Southwest Regional Security Force (Amotekun), Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) and other established Security Force in the region work in collaboration, sharing credible intelligence to achieve collective success and adopting technological innovation in communication, surveillance and monitoring of forest reserves.

It's time to unleashed the Joint Security Taskforce in the Southwest, if the Civilian Joint Taskforce (CJTF) can be effective in fighting Boko haram in Bornu state, some of our civilians are also ready provided that necessary support in arms and ammunitions, financial incentives and other motivation is available.

Politics › Re: What Would Likely Happen After APC PRIMARY ELECTION by Kdon2: 11:01pm On May 17
PSTKYLIFELIGHT:
The political outlook for the All Progressives Congress, All Progressives Congress after its primary election is best understood through internal cohesion, incumbency pressure, and opposition coordination rather than fixed outcomes.

In most competitive political systems, primaries function as both a selection process and a stress test. For APC, the immediate effect of a primary is not only the emergence of a candidate, but also the exposure of internal divisions that were previously managed through negotiation among elite networks. When contests are close or emotionally charged, grievances often persist beyond the vote. These grievances can translate into reduced campaign participation, quiet withdrawal of support, or strategic repositioning within the political space.

A major risk after primaries is fragmentation among political elites. Nigerian politics is strongly shaped by networks of influence, regional power brokers, and patronage structures. When these groups align behind a single candidate, the party tends to consolidate quickly and move into a unified campaign phase. When they feel excluded or weakened, internal negotiation becomes prolonged, and campaign momentum slows. In such cases, reconciliation efforts become central, often involving political appointments, campaign roles, and future electoral arrangements.

The broader national environment also plays a decisive role. As a ruling party, APC carries responsibility for public perception of governance outcomes. Economic conditions such as inflation, employment levels, and currency stability strongly influence voter sentiment. When economic pressure increases, voter dissatisfaction often becomes directed toward the ruling party, not necessarily due to ideology, but due to accountability expectations placed on those in power.

Opposition dynamics are equally important. The strength of APC in any election cycle depends partly on whether opposition parties remain divided or coordinate effectively. A fragmented opposition disperses voter support across multiple candidates, which strengthens the ruling party position. A coordinated opposition that focuses on key regions and voter blocs can significantly reduce that advantage.

Disputes arising from primaries can also affect stability. Legal challenges and internal disagreements rarely overturn final nominations, but they can slow down campaign organization and shift attention inward. This reduces the time and energy available for building a strong national campaign structure.

Voter perception remains a critical factor. Elections are often influenced by comparative judgment between candidates rather than absolute loyalty to a party. If internal disagreements remain visible, they can create a perception of disorganization. If reconciliation is handled effectively, internal competition can instead be transformed into broader coalition strength.

Overall, the post primary phase for APC is not defined by inevitable decline or guaranteed strength. Its trajectory depends on how effectively internal competition is managed, how the national economy shapes voter sentiment, how unified the opposition becomes, and how quickly the party transitions from internal contest to external campaigning.
All of the above is not peculiar to APC , it will occur in other parties too. It's normal. Nothing to worry about.

Politics › Re: “NSA Overreach Triggered New Homeland Security Appointment” — Presidency Sources by Kdon2: 6:57am On May 17
Obasa333:
Fresh details have emerged on why President Bola Tinubu appointed Nigeria’s first-ever Special Adviser on Homeland Security, with presidency and security sources alleging growing tension between the Office of the National Security Adviser and some service chiefs.

According to multiple sources, the appointment of retired Major General Adeyinka Fadewa was allegedly influenced by complaints from military and intelligence officials who felt the NSA office was becoming too involved in operational security matters.

The sources claimed some service chiefs were uncomfortable with what they described as the expansion of operational influence by the Office of the National Security Adviser under Nuhu Ribadu.

One presidency source reportedly said the NSA’s constitutional role should focus on coordination, intelligence synthesis and advising the President rather than direct operational activities.

The source also questioned the existence of what was described as an “ONSA tactical team,” alleging that such operations created friction within the security structure.

President Tinubu had on May 11, 2026, approved the appointment of Major General Fadewa (retd.) as Special Adviser on Homeland Security as part of efforts to strengthen internal security coordination and intelligence-driven operations across the country.

Other officials, however, defended the appointment, saying the President has the constitutional authority to redesign the country’s security architecture in any way that could improve results and tackle insecurity more effectively.

The development has now sparked fresh conversations about Nigeria’s security structure, coordination among agencies, and the Federal Government’s increasing pressure to end insecurity across the country.

Crime › Re: “I Was Wrongly Convicted” — Kabiru Sokoto Challenges 2013 Terrorism Conviction by Kdon2: 6:51am On May 17
Dobnews:
Convicted terrorist Kabiru Umar, popularly known as Kabiru Sokoto, has approached the Court of Appeal in Abuja to challenge his 2013 conviction and life sentence over terrorism-related offences.

According to fresh court documents, Umar is asking the appellate court to allow him file an appeal out of time, claiming delays were caused by years of incarceration, transfers between prisons and the deaths of two lawyers handling his case.

Kabiru Sokoto was convicted in 2013 over terrorism-related offences linked to the 2011 Madalla church bombing that killed dozens during Christmas celebrations.

However, his lawyers now argue that he was not convicted for masterminding the bombing itself, but for allegedly withholding information related to the attack.

The legal team also claimed the trial court relied on the wrong law during his conviction and questioned the validity of his confessional statement.

He is now asking the Court of Appeal to overturn the judgment and acquit him.
