VERTEX1:
My sister is the most humble person I've see in this life.
Before her marriage I was angry because she was 22years. We know no boyfriend of her. She just graduated from school of nursing.

Her husband stopped her from working as a nurse and took her life savings, which gave him without even telling us. The husband
refuse her from doing any job to earn so that he will continue using her as a slave. In their family they see wife as maid.
Woah! They treat women as slave "In their family?". Number one, your sister was too inexperienced in matters of men otherwise she would have known better. Besides she is very secretive from what I can infer therefore what makes you think you know her sufficiently. A lot is questionable in this marriage. Maybe there is a lot you don't know.

Have you seen any guy you know boasting that he is sleeping with married women that you know? If such is revealed and he has friends, they may abandon and reject him with disgust. Also, have you seen any married you know boasting openly that she is sleeping with men?

While it is very wrong to cheat, some married men may talk of side-chics, and some side-chics may talk about their married sugar daddies: but a guy sleeping with a married woman may be ashamed to say it, and a married woman may be so ashamed to reveal she is sleeping with someone else.

Married women are sacred.
That's a lie. Guys flaunt married women they are sleeping with. And married women openly visit short time guest house to do the do😜

VERTEX1:
My sister married her husband in 2016, after giving birth in 2017 to their first child; male child, he started physically maltreating her till this year 2026. My sister birth all their four kids through caesarean section. She later went through another section in 2024 December which is umbilical hernia, this condition resulted from frequent domestic abuses she received from her husband. He beats her, punches her as if she is his mate even in pregnancy, he uses both cane and wire to flog her, he talks to her in the most demeaning way, always accuses her of sleeping with men and telling their neighbours many bad things about his wife, that she is way ward and does not care for their kids, but those people will later be telling my sister what he says out of pity, because they have seen how she suffers in the marriage always carrying the kids everywhere and taking care of them. My sister is the type that always have good mind and emotionally soft, psychologically she is phlegmatic.

I am very heartbroken typing this, i have tried to drag my sister out of the marriage but she eventually went back on several occasions, telling me that "he will change, for the sake of these children".
We have tried to settle the matter countless times, involving him and both his family but still they couldn't do anything. It is not that he is rich, but he is weather than his brothers, beside they're jealous of him and want him to fail.

Continue from next page, please moderator help me to position for the help I need.
Is your sister involved with other men? Is she contributing to home upkeep or a liability? Is your sister submissive or arrogant? Etc

ochibuogwu5:
Friend, today could be the most important day of your life. The Word of God is clear:

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel."

— Mark 1:15

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was crucified on the Cross of Calvary in *our supposed position/life of the old-man*.

This old-man/the flesh can never please God thus "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God" (Romans 8:8 ), and the only remedy for it is death hence Jesus came on earth and took our old-man and put it to death on the Cross and in exchange gave us His own life, with which we can now relate with God and truly do what pleases just like Jesus in His earthly days thus "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased..." (Matthew 3:17 and Matthew 17:5).

He died in our place. He rose again on the third day, victorious over the old-man/the flesh, sin, death and hell-fire thus "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Rev. 1:18).

And He is coming back thus "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be" (Rev. 22:12).

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

— John 3:16

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

— Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

— Romans 6:23

Do not wait. Do not delay. Tomorrow is not promised. The Bible warns us:

"Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."

— 2 Corinthians 6:2

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

— Romans 10:9

God is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). His arms are open wide. But this door of grace will not remain open forever. Jesus said:

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No human being comes to the Father except through Me."

— John 14:6

Pray this from your heart right now:

"Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I repent of my sins and I surrender my life to You. Come into my heart, be my Lord and my Saviour. I receive You now, by faith. Amen."
The day you die is the day your kingdom of God has come. If you are waiting for illusive kingdom of God to come you are dull.

Culture › Re: Lagos Not For Yoruba Land by Kdon2: 5:11pm On Apr 14
bandad:
BOMBSHELL!!!!
Lagos is NOT Yoruba Land.
~ Oba Akiolu.

Coming from the palace, with what I was told by my late paternal grandmother who is a descendant of Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi. Also reading from factual Historical books.

Let me share this Knowledge with you all on Eko/Lagos.

Modern-day Lagos was founded by Prince Ado, the son of the Oba of Benin, Prince Ado was the First Oba of Lagos, the son of the Bini King, Prince Ado, named the town Eko until the Portuguese explorer Ruy de Segueira changed the Maritime town to Lagos, which at that time from 1942 was Portuguese expedition center down the African Coast.

It was a major center of the slave trade until 1851. Lagos was annexed by Britain via the Lagos treaty of cession in 1861, ending the consular period and starting the British Colonial Period. The remainder of Modern-day Nigeria was seized in 1886, when the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria was established in 1914 Lagos was declared its Capital due to the struggle of the Bini King.

Lagos experienced growth pro to the British Colonial rule and even more rapid growth during the Colonial rule throughout the 1960s, 70s, continued through the 80s and 90s till date. Thanks to the Awori's, Bini's, Yoruba's, migrants across the Nation and World at large, as no particular group of people can take the Glory alone.

Lagos is made up of Lagoons and creeks. The Lagos lagoon, Lagos Harbour, five cowne creeks. Ebute-Metta creeks, Porto-Novo creeks, New canal, Badagry creeks, Kuramo waters and Light house creeks.

The Awori's and Bini's are known to be the first settlers of the Eko Land. The Awori's are speakers of a distinct dialect close to that of the Yoruba Language with a rich Bini mixture. Traditionally, Awori's were found in Ile-Ife, they were known to be the Bini's who followed their self exiled Prince, the first son of the Ogiso (now called Oba) of Benin Kingdom, whose Step-Mother was after his head.
The Exiled Benin Prince Izoduwa known to the Yoruba's as Ooduwa (Oduduwa) was made ruler of the Ife people due to his Powers and followers from the Great Benin-Kingdom.
Izoduwa (Ooduwa) was made the First King of Ile-Ife in 1230 AD. His followers from his father's Kingdom in Benin are the today's Awori people who settled in Eko now called Lagos.

In the 1300, the King of Benin-Empire heard from one of his traders who was a settler in Eko on how the Bini's were treated by the Awori's who lived in their area. Upon hearing this the King of Benin commanded the assembling of a War expedition, lead by his Son Prince Ado, which headed the settlement of the Awori's and demanded and explanation.

On arriving Eko, Prince Ado and his Army were more than received. The Awori's asked the Bini Prince to stay and become their leader. Ado agreed on the condition that they surrender their sovereignty to the Oba of Benin, to which the people agreed.
Hearing this, the King of Benin gave his permission for Prince Ado and the expedition to remain in Eko.

The Oba of Benin sent some of his chiefs including the Eletu, Odibo, Obanikoro and others to assist his son Oba Ado in the running of Eko. From the crowing of Prince Ado as the First Oba of Lagos (then called Eko) Lagos served as a major center for Slave- trade from which the Awori's, the Oba of Benin and his son the Oba of Lagos and all the children/descendants who took over as his successors for over four centuries supported the trade.

The Oba of Benin was head of the Benin-Empire which are present day Western, Southern and Eastern Modern- day Nigeria.
The King never obliged anyone to speak the Bini language as he believed everyone was entitled to their own choice of language.

The name Eko was given to it by the First King of Lagos Oba Ado, the young and vibrant Prince from Benin. Eko was the Land now known as Lagos Island, where the king Palace was built. The palace is called IDUNGARAN meaning "palace built on pepper farm" Oba Ado and the Warriors from Benin together with the early Bini's settlers in Eko and the Awori people settled in the Southern part of Eko called "Isale Eko". "Isale literally means bottom ". Must have been used to indicate downtown (as in down town Lagos)

Until the coming in of the Benin's 1300AD , Lagos geographical boundary was Lagos mainland, Lagos Island, the seat of the Oba of Lagos then consisted of a pepper farm and fishing post. No one was living there.

About 1450 AD some Yoruba's who hailed from Isheri in Ogun-State and Ekiti were allowed by the King to settle in Eko during a war, they came in very large numbers thereby surpassing the numbers of the Awori's and Bini's. (Hence Yorubas claim to own Eko due to their numbers).

Oba Ado fell in-love with a beautiful woman whose father was Awori and mother a daughter to one of the chief, they had two sons and also a daughter Erelu Kuti, who begat Ologun Kutere who later became King.

Oba Akintoye descendant of Prince Ado whose mother was the First Queen from Awori ascended the throne as Oba of Lagos in 1841, he attempted to ban Slave-trade with the help of the British, but the Local merchant, the Awori's, Bini's and a few Yoruba's who was already integrated and married to Awori's and Bini's strongly opposed the intended move, and disposed and exiled the King and installed Akintoye's brother Kosoko as Oba, at exile in Europe, Akintoye met with British Authorities who had earlier banned Slavery in 1807 the British decided to support the deposed Oba to regain his throne.

With the Success of the British intervention in 1851 Akintoye was reinstalled as Oba of Lagos. In practical terms, however the British influence over the Benin-Empire had become absolute, and then years later in 1861 Lagos was formally annexed as a British Colony.
This lead to the fight of the British and the Bini King, the leader of the Benin-Empire for years, which finally lead to the fall of the Empire and the capturing of Oba Ovonramwen.

Oba Akintoye of Lagos was the first Oba not to be buried in Benin. Prior to this all the Kings of Lagos were buried in Benin. They passed on taxes to the Oba of Benin until the British settled in.

Until today the Oba of Lagos is the head of all the Oba's in Lagos because the Bini's believe that wherever they or their offspring are they are senior. The Status of the Oba of Lagos is different from other Obas most of whom were given back their crowns and staff of office only within 40years ago.
Those who got their lands back was the original land owners they were mostly descendant of Prince Ado others children of the Olofin.

We are all one and related, so please let's share lots of LOVE!

Politics › Re: Supreme Court Dismisses David Mark's Application For Stay Of Execution by Kdon2: 5:08pm On Apr 14
[quote author=seunmsg post=139097778]Supreme Court Dismisses David Mark's Application for Stay of Execution

The Supreme Court has dismissed an application for stay of execution of an Appeal Court ruling that led to the decision of electoral body, INEC to derecognize the Senator David Mark leadership of the Action Democratic Congress, ADC.

This dismissal by the Apex Court on Tuesday followed the withdrawal of the application by senator Mark's counsel Jibril Okutekpa, SAN.

Okutekpa had informed the five-member apex court panel headed by Justice Lawal Garba that INEC's interpretation of the Court of Appeal decision on March 12 has made the party 'leaderless.'

He says the 'injunctive order' for the aggrieved parties to maintain 'status quo antebellum' is the reason for the current leadership vacuum in the ADC. He prayed the court for urgent action in view of the time constraints in the lead up to next year's crucial polls.

In its intervention, the apex court gave procedural directions to fast-track the process, including abridging time for filing briefs and responses, due to the time-sensitive nature of the matter, ahead of the 2027 elections.

It scheduled the substantive hearing of the appeal for Tuesday, April 22, 2026.

The original dispute stems from a suit by Nafiu-Bala Gombe (former Deputy National Chairman), who is challenging the legitimacy of Mark and Aregbesola’s leadership. INEC has withheld recognition of either faction pending court resolution of the leadership tussle.

Gombe sought, among other things, to restrain Mark (as National Chairman), Rauf Aregbesola (as National Secretary), and others from parading as ADC leaders, and to stop INEC from recognizing them.

On or around April 1, 2026, INEC removed Mark and Aregbesola's names from its portal as National Chairman and Secretary, citing the Appeal Court's "status quo" order and related correspondence.

The call came on a quiet afternoon.

“Is this Mrs. Adebayo?” the voice asked.

“Yes… who is this?” Kemi replied, her heart already beginning to race.

“There’s been an accident. Your husband… he’s been brought to the hospital.”

Everything after that felt like a blur.

The drive.

The traffic.

The silent prayers she whispered over and over.

“God, please let him be okay… please…”

By the time she arrived at the hospital, her hands were shaking. She rushed to the front desk.

“My husband—Tunde Adebayo—he was brought in—please, where is he?”

The nurse checked the system and nodded. “He’s stable. You can see him shortly.”

Relief flooded Kemi’s chest. Stable.

She closed her eyes briefly, whispering thanks.

But as she approached the ward, something strange happened.

A nurse stepped in front of her.

“I’m sorry, ma’am… you can’t go in right now.”

Kemi frowned. “I’m his wife.”

The nurse hesitated.

Then said words that didn’t make sense.

“There’s already a wife inside.”

Kemi blinked.

“I… I don’t understand.”

The nurse looked uncomfortable. “The woman inside… she identified herself as his wife. She’s been here since he was admitted.”

For a moment, the world went completely still.

“No,” Kemi said, shaking her head slowly. “That’s not possible. I’m his wife.”

But even as she said it… something deep inside her began to crack.

Minutes later, the door opened.

And a woman stepped out.

She looked worried. Tired. Like someone who had been crying.

Their eyes met.

And in that instant… neither of them needed words.

They both knew.

---

The hours that followed were heavy with confusion, anger, and disbelief.

Kemi sat in the waiting area, her mind racing through years of memories—birthdays, family vacations, late-night conversations, laughter with their children.

Had all of it been a lie?

The other woman—Amara—sat across from her. Equally shaken.

“I didn’t know,” Amara said quietly. “He told me… he said he wasn’t married anymore.”

Kemi let out a bitter laugh. “And he told me nothing at all.”

Two women.

One truth.

And a man lying unconscious between them.

---

When Tunde finally woke up, he didn’t expect to see both of them standing there.

The look on his face said everything.

Shock.

Fear.

Guilt.

No words came out at first.

Then Kemi spoke.

“Who is she?”

Silence.

“Tunde,” she said again, her voice breaking, “who is she?”

He closed his eyes.

And in that moment, the truth he had hidden for years finally came into the light.

---

The days that followed were some of the hardest Kemi had ever known.

The betrayal cut deep—not just because of the affair, but because of the double life. The lies. The secrecy.

It wasn’t just about another woman.

It was about trust.

It was about identity.

It was about everything she thought her family was.

She considered walking away.

Many times.

But then she would look at their children.

She would think about the years they had built together.

And she would ask herself a difficult question:

“Is this the end… or is this where we decide what truly matters?”

---

Tunde, for the first time, stopped running.

He didn’t defend himself.

He didn’t make excuses.

He took full responsibility.

“I was wrong,” he said. “Completely wrong. I broke everything we built.”

He cut all ties with Amara.

Not with anger—but with honesty.

He chose to face the consequences of his actions.

Fully.

---

Kemi didn’t forgive him overnight.

It took time.

Real time.

There were tears. Long conversations. Counseling sessions that forced them both to confront uncomfortable truths.

Kemi spoke about the pain of being blindsided.

Of feeling replaced without even knowing.

Tunde spoke about his failures—how he allowed distance, poor decisions, and selfishness to take control instead of fixing what was broken at home.

They didn’t rush the process.

They rebuilt—piece by piece.

Trust wasn’t given back.

It was earned.

---

Months later, something had changed.

Not perfectly.

Not magically.

But genuinely.

Tunde became present in a way he had never been before.

He showed up—for his wife, for his children, for his home.

Kemi, though still healing, began to open her heart again—not out of weakness, but out of strength.

One evening, they sat together at the dining table, watching their children laugh and argue over something small.

The house felt alive again.

Not perfect—but real.

Tunde reached for her hand.

This time, she allowed it.

“You didn’t deserve what I did,” he said quietly.

Kemi looked at him, then at their children.

“No,” she replied. “But our family deserves what we choose to do next.”

He nodded.

And in that moment, they both understood.

That hospital door—the one she couldn’t enter—had almost ended everything.

But instead…

It forced the truth into the open.

And gave them a choice.

To walk away.

Or to rebuild.

They chose to rebuild.

Stronger.

Honest.

And more intentional than ever before.

Because sometimes, the hardest truths don’t just break a family…

They give it a chance to become something even stronger.

---
I chose to walk away instead. The betrayal was too deep too crushing. And from an unremorseful bitch.

Politics › Re: Mahdi Shehu Tells Amupitan To Resign As INEC Chairman by Kdon2: 5:10pm On Apr 13
Ironfaceman:
Activist Mahdi Shehu has called for the resignation of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), alleging bias and misconduct.

Shehu made the call in a post shared on X on Monday, where he accused the INEC chairman of actions he described as damaging to public trust in the electoral body.

He said the situation surrounding the commission’s leadership was serious and warned that continued silence on the matter could further erode confidence in the institution.

According to him, “Either BAT and Amupitan do not understand the gravity of the situation surrounding the INEC chairman’s current scandal, or they are testing the patience of Nigerians.”

He also criticised what he described as the president’s silence on calls for the chairman’s removal.

BAT has decided to remain silent and mute on the genuine calls for the INEC chairman to resign in the overriding interest of democracy.”

Shehu further alleged that the INEC chairman had been involved in controversial actions linked to his social media activity, including claims about changes to his X account and questions about past political expression.

He claimed the electoral chief had attempted to defend himself by denying ownership of certain online accounts and suggesting impersonation, adding that such explanations were not convincing.

INEC chairman may deploy all the tactics at his disposal but resign he will because there is no option to that. If Tinubu refuses to sack INEC chairman, he will lose more than INEC which may not be his wish,” he added.

“If the INEC chairman refuses to step down, he risks losing far more than his position, just as President Bola Tinubu may also suffer political consequences.

"In the end, both men stand to lose, as growing public anger continues to overshadow the situation. It is only a matter of time, as many Nigerians have already lost trust and confidence in the INEC chairman, viewing him as biased, lacking integrity, and failing to uphold the ethical standards expected of his profession.

"He who goes to equity must go with clean hands,” he wrote.

HisaacPlus:
A rare photograph from the 1970s captures a young Atiku Abubakar—long before the public offices and political prominence—enjoying a night out in a Lagos nightclub alongside his first wife, Titilayo, and a close family friend, Sola. It is a scene that reflects the vibrant social life of Lagos in that era: smoky dance floors, highlife rhythms, and the unmistakable sound of King Sunny Ade dominating the nightlife.

Decades later, during a 2015 interview, Atiku fondly recalled those youthful days: “I remember how we used to dance to King Sunny Ade’s music. You had to know the moves to be cool in Lagos back then.” The memory offers a glimpse into a more personal, carefree chapter of his life—one shaped by music, camaraderie, and the cultural pulse of the city.

His wife, Titilayo Abubakar (née Albert), was born into a Christian Yoruba family from Ilesa, Osun State. Raised in Lagos, she began her education at Lafiaji before moving to St. Mary’s in Iwo for her secondary studies, completing them in 1969. Two years later, in 1971, she married Atiku Abubakar, who at the time was a young, ambitious customs officer building his career and future.

After their marriage, Titilayo furthered her education at Kaduna Polytechnic, balancing academic aspirations with the responsibilities of a growing family.

Together, the photo and the memories behind it offer a captivating snapshot of youthful beginnings—of love, friendship, ambition, and the rhythm of Lagos in the 1970s.

Malami Returns to Kebbi After 123 Days, Signals Political Showdown with APC

By Aliyu Usman, Birnin Kebbi

The Bureau News reports that former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Chika Malami, has returned to Kebbi State after 123 days in detention, receiving a rousing welcome from supporters in Birnin Kebbi.

His arrival on Friday sparked widespread excitement across the state capital, as crowds gathered along major routes to celebrate his return.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Bello Muhammed Doka, Malami’s homecoming was described as the beginning of a renewed political movement aimed at challenging the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the statement, the former minister’s return represents not just a personal milestone but a broader struggle for political change in Kebbi State and Nigeria.

“This is not just a homecoming; it is a journey of courage, resilience, and determination in the face of what we consider unwarranted persecution,” the statement read.

Doka alleged that Malami endured prolonged detention across multiple security agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS), where he was granted bail on several occasions but rearrested.

He further claimed that Malami was subjected to repeated legal proceedings and denied certain fundamental rights during the period.

The statement added that the former Attorney General remains committed to pursuing his political ambitions and mobilising support across all levels.

Supporters who thronged the streets to welcome him were described as defying harsh weather conditions, reflecting what aides called his growing political influence and acceptance within the state.

The Bureau News understands that Malami’s return is expected to reshape the political landscape in Kebbi State ahead of future electoral contests, particularly within the ruling APC.

Seriously, if Peter Obi and Soludo contest for the presidency today while Soludo is an APC candidate and Obi is an ADC candidate, who do you think will win? Be honest!
Soludo clearly with huge margin.
