Please (even though I know my appeal with fall on deaf ears too numerous to count in this forum), approach this issue with logic and without prejudice to the people involved.

My wife and I are duly blessed with a son who is in his basic 5 now. Also, we decided to get the daughter of one of my cousin to stay with us. She is one of 7 children. So I wanted to help raise a CHIMAMANDA.

As my rule, every child of same age under my room attends the same school and calls us Dad & Mum. The school part didn't quite seat well with my wife, who had a different opinion, but I prevailed anyway. Because na me dey pay school fees.

The girl is a year older than my son, but due to the level of education at the village before she came over, we made her be in the same class as my son. She met my son in primary 2. Now they are both in basic 5.

A shocker happened: This girl keeps coming up in the class, while my son keeps running away from the top. We've tried extra lessons, even tried changing schools. Now it looks as if the girl is better suited for school than my boy. She reads, spells and memorizes things too marvellous. I bought a dictionary cos of that.

I even buy gifts for her (for coming top) more than I do for my boy, to make him sit up, but my pikin nor send me o. Guy use cry & Woman power make me buy am bicycle. 😁

I would think he's being a spoilt boy, who believes daddy & mommy is there, I don't really know. But I am hopeful.

Now, my major issue is my heavily pregnant wife. She wants the girl to be changed/enrolled at a different school. In her defence, she wants her to be available to help her take care of things. The kid's school close by 3pm. She suggest government school that close earlier. I see sense in what she said but I feel like I'll be unfair to this young girl.

When I tried to have a healthy debate on the idea. Na so madam start to dey talk plenty tins wey I nor fit type.
I have accepted to do her wish from September for peace.

Please, do you see another way I could avoid problems?

Is she right to have asked that I changed the girl's school just because she needs help around the house & her business?

Many men are self absorbed especially Nigerian men. I read a post on Twitter yesterday about a man who find out his child isn’t his and the wife has been sleeping around with her ex. The man on knowing this stopped all responsibility on the woman and called the marriage quit. What a weak man.

Strong men forgive! They don’t resent and dwell on past mistakes. The children should not suffer because of the little mistake from the mother. Talk to ur wife, ask her why she cheated, apologise to her and let her know you still have her best interests at heart. Marriage is all about forgiveness.

Also, you can try talk to the man she cheated on u with and tell her to stop sleeping with ur wife. Thai way ur wife will know u truly love her and her respect for u will increase.

"she was the one, she was slapping matron so so and so anyhow left and right"

if that person who said that sentence knew the exact name of the air hostess who blocked the lady from disembarking then why would any sensible person say it isn't another one of the air hostess that recorded and released that video

A former lawmaker who represented Oshodi-Isolo from 2015 to 2023 in the Lagos Assembly, Jude Idimogu, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to grant clemency to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Kanu, the leader of the self-determination movement, was arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2021, brought to Nigeria, and had since been in custody facing trial.

Idimogu in an interview with NAN on Sunday in Lagos, said releasing Kanu would help the ruling APC in the South-East as the nation approaches the 2027 general elections.

“It will add to our votes in the South-East. If the President can look at this issue, the South-East will never forget him but forever be grateful,” he said.

Idimogu urged well-meaning Nigerians including Igbo leaders, South-East governors to speak with one voice by appealing to the President to grant Kanu pardon.

He said that such pardon if granted would not be forgotten and would aid the party’s fortune in South-East in 2027 general elections.

The ex-lawmaker said, “I want to plead with our President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to kindly see the need to use political means to grant Nnamdi Kanu clemency.

I want to appeal to all well meaning Nigerians, not just those from Igbo extraction, to help plead with Mr President to use his good office to release Nnamdi Kanu.

If this is done, I believe the insecurity situation and tension in the South- East will reduce if not completely curbed and eradicated.”

According to him, a lot of miscreants have been using Kanu’s name to cause mayhem and atrocities in the region.
Idimogu, who is the deputy leader of Ndigbo in Lagos APC, said that the release of Kanu has a lot of advantages both for the South-East and Nigeria.
He said that it would de-escalate the tension and make the economy of the region to come alive again.

“Mr President, kindly look at the South-East case and bring back businesses and trading long stagnated in the region because of insecurity.

“An average Igbo man is a trader. We cannot overlook this situation and the contributions of these traders in the South-East to the economy.

“South-East used to be home to a lot of people before now, it just suddenly changed to be dens of insecurity and other vices. This can be arrested with Kanu’s release.

“Mr President, we know you to be a father with a compassionate heart, please, help us in the South-East, grant Kanu freedom to stabilise our region,” Idimogu stated.

Well...that didn't happen, but you probably already know this since the British would have gone with the wish of the majority and hence added 'secession clause' to the constitution they drafted.

What happened was this....
The 1946 Richards Constitution Introduced by Sir Arthur Richards, then Governor of Nigeria,
divided Nigeria into 3 regions: Northern Region, Western Region and Eastern Region
It created regional legislatures and regional councils of chiefs. Strengthened indirect rule and gave more autonomy to traditional rulers.
Introduced limited African representation in the legislative council.

It was aimed to reflect Nigeria’s "diverse cultures" — reinforcing the tripartite regional model.



Azikiwe (Eastern Nigeria) and Eyo Ita (Calabar area) opposed the regionalisation model.
They feared it would deepen ethnic divisions and entrench colonial divide-and-rule policies.
They argued that the 3-region model was artificial and would weaken national unity.

Azikiwe and Ita led a group that rejected the 3-region structure.

They proposed a federation of 8 states based on ethnolinguistic and cultural diversity, not colonial convenience.

1. Hausa/Fulani state (North-West)

2. Kanuri state (North-East)

3. Tiv/Benue state (Central North)

4. Yoruba state (West)

5. Edo/Delta state (Mid-West)

6. Igbo state (East)

7. Ibibio/Efik state (South-East coast)

8. Minority coastal state

Their report was rejected as a 'minority report' because NPC and AG backed the 3 regional agreement as an opportunity to dominate the unfortunate minorities of their region.

This is what happened. This is accurate history, not Lagos-Ibadan revision.
