Onne is closer to Aba than Lagos and it is equally functional ...Pick a cue from this
No more excuses for the exodus of people from there to here
God bless Nigeria
Exactly cos Fubara is the state governor. They have been complaining, give us port and Onne port has been so close, over the years. Let thier containers begin to land thier region and let see if other tribes won't take advantage of their business when they leave lagos.make dem dey play na.
https://x.com/okpako_o2/status/1867260339076698591?s=46&t=eokZqhcQnFydVQOatSdfcw[/quote]How can he meet the best engineering student of 2021/2022, when there is the current one from electrical/electronic engineering in 2023/2024. Anyway, Ighodaro is still bitter about the votes from my LGA, Akoko Edo to APC, even with the illegal deputy governor, Obaseki wanted to decieve us with, to corner votes. Mugu man, Gofund me as already started and we will donate to our distinguish young lad. Let him keep his frustration to himself.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's appointments reflect the principles of true federal character.
God bless Jagaban!
Oloriburukus will soon say, Tinubu has no choice of appointing Ndidi as the acting and to be confirmed as CG. Bitter people will say, it's based on merit.
A legal dispute is unfolding in Edo State as Banwo & Ighodalo, one of Nigeria's leading law firms, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Edo APC Chairman, Mr. Tenebe, demanding a public retraction of an alleged defamatory statement made against their client, Mr. Asue Ighodalo.
The letter, dated December 11, 2024, and obtained exclusively by the leading online newspaper *Truth Live News International*, was signed by Chinedum Umeche FCIArb, a senior lawyer with the firm. It alleges that Mr. Tenebe, on December 10, 2024, recorded and widely circulated a video in which he referred to Mr. Ighodalo as a thief.
In the video, Mr. Tenebe reportedly said: > “Obaseki will not make such a mistake because he has stolen billions before. Asue Ighodalo will not make such a mistake because he has stolen billions before.”
The legal notice claims that the video, labeled as the “Defamatory Video,” has been widely disseminated across social media platforms, including Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, and even on Arise TV. Banwo & Ighodalo stated that the video has been reposted by blogs and influencers with large followings, further amplifying its reach and causing significant reputational harm to Mr. Ighodalo.
The letter describes the statements as “false, malicious, and defamatory” and accuses Mr. Tenebe of deliberately attempting to tarnish the reputation of Mr. Ighodalo, a prominent businessman and legal professional.
It further warns: > “You are advised that ignoring this letter may lead to court proceedings being issued against you by our Client in the High Court of Lagos State, without further notice.”
Banwo & Ighodalo demanded that Mr. Tenebe issue a public retraction and apology, both in the same media platforms where the alleged defamatory statements were made and circulated. The law firm emphasized that such a retraction must be unequivocal and must reach the same audience that received the defamatory statements.
At the time of filing this report, neither Mr. Tenebe nor the Edo State APC leadership had issued a response to the allegations. Legal analysts suggest this case could set a significant precedent in defamation law, given the prominence of the individuals involved and the widespread dissemination of the alleged defamatory material.
Chinedum Umeche FCIArb, the letter’s signatory, is known for his expertise in handling high-profile defamation and commercial litigation cases, adding weight to the legal ultimatum issued to Mr. Tenebe.
Waste of effort, Ighodaro and Obaseki loot the state tru their investment portfolio called Afrinvest. Sterling bank was handling almost every businesses and transactions when he was the chairman before he resigned to contest governorship election. In Obaseki eight years, they were organizing a useless summit tag Alaghodaro and nothing tangible was achieved. Eight years as economic advisers to Obaseki with their over hype brilliance but could not surpassed Oshiomole's performance. Our governor has just set up committee to probe the last administration. Sterling bank and Afrinvest will be exposed. Go to Ikoyi and see the new ultra modern office under construction. Why did both of them not built it before Obaseki ascension to power as governor of Edo state. Why did Obaseki changed almost all the government bank account to Sterling bank. This was the first time it happened since 1999 in Edo state. Osunbor and Oshiomole maintained all the bank details inherited from lucky Igbinedion. Sterling bank is not among the best bank in Nigeria, so for Obaseki as governor to use it as the major government bank, is fishy. All taxes and revenue goes there.
LBanks: Didn't you hear that he receives FCT IGR directly, just like the state governors get IGR of their states? The IGR of the FCT no longer goes to federal government direct, it goes to his office as the minister, that was the first thing Tinubu did after appointing him as Minister.
@ Harddisking, have you ask your state governor about accountability. Another bitter republican has just been sighted.
Eteka1: stop displaying your ignorance. You obviously can't tell a new vehicle from an old one, since you have never bought any. Those are new vehicles.
You have said it all, this are bitter people. Wike remains a performer and nobody can't deny the fact. We understand he didn't support their candidate last year and that is the only sin, they hold against him. Wike used to be their favorite and darling, we saw how they supported all his high-handedness and authoritative tendency but the bitter people ignored all that and keep praising him and showing solidarity. Useless people. Am happy as Wike keep pressing Thier neck.
On the other hand, the former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State said in an interview I read online that the former President Muhammed Buhari had given him firm assurances that a rail spur would be constructed to link Ekiti State from Osogbo in Osun State. A rail line linking Ekiti State directly to Osogbo and on to the existing Ibadan to Lagos rail lines for cargo haulage and passenger movements would have been awesome BUT it wasn't actualized before the former President Muhammed Buhari left office in 2023.
It would be ideal for the current Governor of Ekiti State to firmly lobby President Bola Tinubu's government and the ministry responsible for transportation to have that rail spur done ASAP (starting from 2025 or 2026) before he leaves office so that Ekiti State can be connected to the nearby Osun State and hence further boost the economy of that state. Rail cargo movement is still cheaper in my opinion. Ondo State too can be connected by the rail line to Ekiti.
Same thing should be done for other viable states around Nigeria that have no rail connections yet to link them up with nearby states that already have rail lines to further boost their economies.
That is the fact, I don't see wisdom in governors constructing airport when another is close by. Akure airport is not far from Ekiti state. Linking railways should have been the best. Let state which share borders partner with each other. Enough of fund wastage.
TimeManager: Following the endorsement of a Northern presidency in the 2027 general election by former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Igbo apex group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, on Wednesday said that the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) stalwart has lost any alliance with the Igbo.
In a statement in Abakaliki, the Secretary-General of the Chidi Ibeh-led faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, argued that Atiku’s outburst has exacerbated longstanding concerns within the Nigerian polity, particularly among the Igbo people, regarding the potential subversion of the critically important principle of rotational presidency.
He further maintained that Atiku’s reckless pursuit of Northern political hegemony has irreparably tarnished his standing among the Igbo populace, signalling an affront to their aspirations for inclusion and representation in governance.
According to Ohanaeze, his public statements reveal an exclusionary agenda that dismisses any Southern candidates, notably Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), as potential leaders in the upcoming elections. He added that the implications of his rhetorical choices suggest a desire to construe Mr. Obi merely as a running mate, rather than acknowledging him as a capable opposition leader with valid political weight.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo resolutely rebuffs any political stratagem that seeks to subordinate the Igbo people or undermine their rightful place in the national discourse, maintaining that the Igbo will instead extend their commendations to President Bola Tinubu for his administration’s dedicated focus on significant infrastructural developments currently underway in the Southeast.
Isiguzoro noted that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Northern tenure, which spanned eight years from 2015 to 2023, marked a necessary transition of political power and leadership to Southern Nigeria from 2023 to 2031, wondering why Atiku would propose a Northern presidency in 2027.
He said: “Ohanaeze Ndigbo categorically dismisses, renounces, and rejects any insinuation of an Igbo alliance with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a partnership predicated on his apparent disregard for the Gentleman’s Agreement governing the rotational presidency.
“We assert with unwavering conviction that the conclusion of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Northern tenure, which spanned eight years from 2015 to 2023, marks a necessary transition of political power and leadership to Southern Nigeria from 2023 to 2031.
“His public statements reveal an exclusionary agenda that dismisses any Southern candidates, notably Mr. Obi, as potential leaders in the upcoming elections. The implications suggest a desire to construe Mr. Obi merely as a running mate, rather than acknowledging him as a capable opposition leader with valid political weight.
“Moreover, it is essential to clarify that Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s focus extends beyond Atiku’s increasingly untenable advocacy for a Northern presidency. Rather, our critical emphasis lies on the ongoing infrastructural renaissance occurring throughout Southeastern Nigeria.
“Thus, we extend our commendations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his administration’s dedicated focus on significant infrastructural developments currently underway in the Southeast.
“Under the astute leadership of Senator Dave Umahi, a member of our community, we have witnessed the rehabilitation and construction of vital federal roadways—specifically the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway, the Calabar-Abakaliki-Benue-Abuja Road, and the Sokoto-Lagos Superhighways.”
Expressing the sentiments of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Isiguzoro articulates the gravity of their position, noting that Atiku has irreparably alienated himself from the Igbo people due to his unreserved endorsement of a Northern presidency—an endorsement which directly contravenes established norms of power rotation.
His actions underscore a profound disconnection from the aspirations of patriotic Nigerians, revealing an obstinate reluctance to embrace the evolving dynamics of democratic governance.
He added, “We, the Igbo people, stand unyielding in our declaration: We shall not entertain any political agenda that undermines our dignity and aspirations. Rather, we will mobilize collectively to ensure the benefits of development and recognition are allocated to those who sincerely advocate for our cause.”
Maxi, you other brothers and sisters want Obi to be running mate to Atiku again and.you are saying different thing. Remember you are not the authentic president.
sammsimm: Obideense won't agree with that... They don't want good things for Nigeria... Always look for Tinubu's downfall
The igbos Obidients are the negative minded, since after the election loss. Many Edo born Obidients I knew in Benin are intelligent and liberal. They are complete opposite of our brothers and sisters across the niger. They criticize constructively. Come 2027, many of them won't be Obidiently carried again.
Honestly, Obi lack leadership skills. How can a party he made popular and couldn't proffer lasting solutions. Those decamping may have first hand information of Obi decamping to pdp or forming another party with Atiku and run as vice again.
Trump invites only world leaders that matters. If you're delusional enough to think that a classic man like Trump will invite the thing parading himself as Nigeria president then you're dreaming the impossible. Trump that is allergic to fóolish leader like the one Nigeria have.
You are Getting to menopause and still not married, you are not bothered, very soon, you will start running from church to church, disturbing pastors and prophets for your matter. Your mates are getting close to be first lady in their respective states. Who do you like this.
His name is Amadi. A strong reason to trash his useless stories(Its like listening to the opinion of a Biscuit seller on International trade...Very useless)
Losers should move on. Its been 20months+ already
Winners keep achieving, Losers get stuck in the past while actively gnashing their nonsense teeth
Only Igbo people still belong Obi won the election, because of the propaganda of Obi, inorder to keep his supporter intact, for future election.
The rigging was just too obvious and disturbing. After massive rigging the family of the illiterate INEC chairman still wants to rob it on our faces. The illiterate INEC chairman son had to called the father with so much happiness on his face, congratulating the father for carrying out the greatest heist ever witness in human history and the father was all blushing. INEC chairman that supposed to be neutral was seen beaming his face with joy, and giving his son thumbs up this revelation leds to the son of the useless illiterate INEC chairman to immediately deactivated his twitter account.
Don't forget, prior before the election, this son of his had earlier tweeted "If Peter Obi wins, im not going back to Nigeria" INEC chairman son vomiting this? With all these glaring evidence, you' still want me not to believe that the Iragbiji drunk wasn't imposed. Nigeria is such a terrible place.
We spent resources, travelled from a very far away country to the zoo only to be disappointed due to the flawed electoral process. No problem. Evil don't last , they should enjoy their moment now while it last.
Obi didn't win the election. You people think only in south, were there were voting. How many votes did he get in north east and north west. He didn't win north central. That he won south east almost hundred percent and south west was not also won by him. How did he now win the election. If so, why after the election, he has been romancing with the Northerners.
I visited one of the biggest tomato and pepper farms in Nigeria, Rivers State to be precise. Met a Successful Africa Lady that owns the farm and I interviewed her.
Do you want to know, How to start tomato and pepper farm? or How to start a small-scale tomato and pepper farm? Best species of pepper or tomato to plant, or Want to see Successful African Women in agricultural, Tomato, and pepper farming in Africa. then watch this video.
Have you gone around the country to other tomatoes and peppers farm, before your conclusion. Stop exaggerating or bragging. Simply say, you went to a large tomatoes and pepper farm. Kudos to her. Let south embrace farming cos it's profitable.
Olachase: northerners no get choice, all this their gra gra no touch anywhere
Tinubu no be Jonathan
Honestly Tinubu is a master strategy and knows how to get what he want. He should try and improve the economy. I stand with how is not allowing himself to be bullied by the Northerners.
Frigga13: Fear fear APC .. giving themselves hope with their associates political parties like SDP and the likes… talking about credible candidates… is Tinubu a credible one. Fools! With subtle lamba to slide others.
.target is 20 million votes…plus Tinubu suppression of votes , plus rigging. 12 million na past stories.
Nigerians are fed up ..
Tinubu must go.. simple
Any human voting APC is evil .. that just want to punish Nigerians
So Obi want to vice one of the structure of criminality he promised to dismantle. They will both lose like in 2019. Obi no get shame at all, just like his people. See desperation. Instead of him to provide leadership to labour party and reach out to other politicians even if in Apc and Pdp who are passionate about Nigeria progress but he will rather jump ship again.
Northerners silent billionaires and they don't make noise, unlike our audio billionaires who build a small project and escalate the price. Over twenty years ago, Nigerian's are still waiting for orient petroleum. Ordinary beach, they said he is worth 200m dollars (300b naira as at early the year). They are still crying for seaport for government to build, instead one of the governors should seek approval from FG, who gave to gelegele and the deap seaport by awka ibom government to also build ones, if that will make them to do their businesses from their zone.
Dpharisee: Blatant interference on Osun State affairs, the FG lacks powers to stop State projects except if it encroaches on FG land.
Meanwhile building non viable airports by state governors is one of the main routes for easy looting in Nigeria
If you can't read and understand what FG said, then you need to back to primary school. For your information, the FG has started building an airstrip in ido but governor Adeleke instead want to turn it to international airport but given flimsy excuse to relocate it to Ede is home town. What is hard for you to understand there. You are among the ones, who always called Buhari and illiterate and Buhari will easily understand this one. To many educated illiterate in Nigeria. May God help the next generation.
If they had learned their lessons by May 2022, TInubu would have been in retirement by now, not in Aso Rock.
PDP should not have reneged on an Igbo president, and Atiku should have sat down and retired. And Obi should have stayed in the party, yes, despite the unfair way he was treated. LIkewise Kwankwaso too.
But here we are. APC was divided too, but Buhari forced his followers to keep quiet and obey tinubu for the sake of party unity, or else they would all be out in the cold. They listened.
How does the pdp treated Obi badly. What has been is contribution to pdp, outside sharing of campaign fund in 2019. When pdp lost in 2015, he was not seen unlike Wike. Are you using Obi to represent the south east of pdp not zoning it's ticket. Obi that chicken out. Wike was man enough to challenge Atiku and the northern oligarchy in pdp, who want power at all cost. The Muslim Muslim ticket Obi used as propaganda to decive many Christians will not work again in the south. He will lose many votes in south west and south south in 2027, expecially when he became vice again to Atiku, that he has called criminal. All what Tinubu need is to promise Christian in north central in 2031 and vice presidential ticket to south south. By that he will get very high vote in north Central, south west and south south. He will reduce Atiku chances in north east and west. He will just promise north west Senate president and north east speaker. Igbos continue your antagonizing and let us see what you will achieve by that.
North vs Noth is different from SW Vs North/South East/South South
Buhari is more popular than atiku in core north.
If i may ask, which region is your political ally?
The only way for your oga to win is to write result which other regions will not accept.
Remember; no one will go to court by 2027
Remove south south cos Apc can promise south south to vice under a northern after Tinubu's eight years and that will put to end of any possible vote to any south east. We don't play nzogbu nzogbu politics but smart ones. Fight your political fight only and leave south south alone. Tinubu may even reach out to north central Christians as his preferred choices. You people are playing with the greatest politicians living in Nigeria currently. Tinubu has everything to his disposal to win again. Am not his supporter but he has mastered the act of politicking. Look at labour party house of rep members moving in droves to Apc. Make Una dey play.
Is coming .. is coming .. the 12 million votes .. plus that made buhari and Arewa catch fire is coming
The 12 million votes that they threw away for the criminal Tinubu to steal power is coming …
Only say this time .. is going to be about 15 million .. dwarfing Tinubu and all his rigging right with his Yoruba officers and manipulation
Is reallly coming ..
Them go dismiss am .. it e go play like movie .. any Obasanjo advice on obi .. we reject !!!
Anything to take this thing call disaster out of villa legally must be celebrated
Nigerians are tire of the suffer ..
Arewa gave hi vote .. and the legal right to steal.. it the suffer is beyond humanity ..
Tinubu must go!!!
Power to the people !!
You igbos can have unrealistic hope until reality happens. Nzogbu nzogbu at work again. Will Obi now become vice presidential candidate to one of the structure of criminality. We are patiently waiting till 2027.
PulaPower: You mean FG will stop a state government project?
Why didn’t they stop Ebonyi?
Dont mind them. Buhari approves and all necessary papers was granted for gelegele seaport. Obaseki was unable to attract funds from partners both local or international for the seaport project.
Ebubu6: A North East president or South East president would see a reason to open up Port Harcourt sea port, and make Abia and Anambra to have inland port due to their proximity with North East and south south.
This is due to shipping goods from Lagos to North East is more expensive than shipping goods from Port Harcourt or Calabar to North East.
This is why Igbos cry of marginalization. Aside that, the south east have zone have smallest number of states (5). And south south, south east, north east are marginalized in terms of train from ph to maiduguri, optimum functional seaport in PH, nigercem activation.
All these things will boost economy of Eastern, (south south, south east, north east) corridor.
Did Buhari not granted approval to Obaseki for the gelegele seaport. Every necessary papers from the federal government has been long approved. Obaseki was unable to find investors to partner before he started the seaport project which is capital intensive. That is the only reason for the slow pace of work. You igbos, make noise alot. Let your so called billionaires partner with state governors to build a seaport. If Buhari granted Obaseki, Tinubu will approve for any of your governors. Akwa ibom is currently building a deep seaport now.
flyinnizam: Fed Govt won't approve it...buhari didn't see a reason...Jagaban won't see a reason also because of Lagos monopoly
foolish excuse, Buhari granted approval to Obaseki for the gelegele seaport. You easterners, this are always the lies you keep talking. Do at anytime, any Anambra governor seek for approval for seaport and denied. Is there also any state in the east that seek for approval and was also denied.
Have you fixed the Monday seat at home, to improve your local economy?
Have you improved IGR and VAT remittance?
Some foolish Obidients will come for your head now. Abia is close to rivers and there is international airport in portharcourt and the governor still want to build an airport. Those goats will not see any wrong in it but would have condemned it if it was another region or Apc controlled state. A smart governor will rather go for a seaport project.
LegendHero: You guys said more than this in 2023. Infact, every time Tinubu wins election for himself or his comrade, he is always “Underrated”.
In Kano, Tinubu just need to bring Kwankwaso to his side or ensure he contest independently.
Ask yourself, which is beneficial to Kwakwanso ambition? Supporting Atiku in 2027 or supporting Tinubu and waiting to be the Northern candidate in 2031?
—If he supports Atiku and Atiku wins, Kwakwanso chance of being president is gone forever.
—If he supports Atiku and Atiku lose, his chance in 2031 will suffer some setback and realignment would have happened.
—If he supports Tinubu and Tinubu win, he can use that as a bargaining power for 2031.
—If he run independently, he will lose. But it will be a tactic support for Tinubu and then make Kwakwanso still be in the discourse for 2031.
Tell me one benefit of Kwakwanso supporting Atiku to his presidential ambition.
Leave that emotional and bitter guy, that is how they play politics in their zone. No political calculations. You have said it all. If Tinubu reach out to kwankwaso for support and a promise of presidency, he will not look back to join Apc again. Politicians don't have shame cos it's only their interest they purse and if he does that, our emotional brothers will begin to call him names. Nzogbu nzogbu
When it's other people's leaders, you condemn. When it's your leaders, you look the other way.
That is why their region is backwards. Anyway people who can take orders from kanu and Ekpa, what do you expect from them, in terms of reasoning. They said others state collect 5k for vote but in igboland, Ikpeazu was sharing 5 liters of kerosene that was not up to 2k as at that time.
DesChyko: What does 'Tinubu books' mean? Why should the President's face be imprinted on the book covers if it was a Federal Government initiative? Is that the first time we are having such initiatives in education? So, the Federal Government will use 'my taxes' to provide books for the children and put the President's face on it?
This is madness. Obaseki should have replaced the books with covers befitting a Federal Government project and distributed it. It's bad practice to keep kids from getting their educational materials, even as it came from sycophantic publishers.
Shut up your mouth, did Obaseki not also put his faces in somethings he did too. Presidents and governors always do that.
