Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, widow of former Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu has clashed with social media influencer identified as Pastor Okezie.

The influencer, a supporter of President Bola Tinubu, has been critical of Anyanwu-Akeredolu for some time.

However, on Monday, Ondo State’s former first lady accused Pastor Okezie of monitoring her to “brief” his “masters”.

“It’s great that you have turned to a monitoring spirit. Now you gone to my Facebook and then what? Brief your masters? You know say no be today! So relax!” she wrote on X.

“If you are truly Okezie and not ronu moniker, you must be one of those prosperity pastors that drink tea with god. For your information which you’re getting for free, if you are not ronu aborigine, you can never be accepted. Quote me!

“You remember that advert, hope you were born then (you look quite young though aka prosperity tithe collector): ‘If it’s not panadol, it can never be panadol!’ Keep wasting your time. You can try sha and collect some crumbs under the table of managers of ronu republic.”

In reaction, Pastor Okezie shared a video of Anyanwu-Akeredolu lamenting in 2023 after the APC primaries in Imo State.

“Madam former 1st lady, your own people in Imo state rejected you at the polls in 2023 because they don’t want a character like you to represent them,” he wrote, adding that he was not an indigene of Imo.

This woman is so shameful that could not mourn is late husband in peace. She is so disappointed of not longer being the first lady of Ondo state again. Very foolish woman.

I don't think is Atiku he is referring to. He said from an oil rich region. That is probably Wike. Yes Atiku spent too but Tambuwa stepping down, made him to win over Wike. Wike doesn't have issues with State or National. Everybody agrees Wike is young and has a right to contest for the presidency. PDP was supposed to zone the presidency to the South in the last presidential election. Atiku who is not from South came to tell PDP where it must be zoned to. Why didn't any northerner tell APC where to zone their presidential ticket to?
The South east, Atiku wanted had just two governors who weren't interested to run. The bastion of PDP in the South is South South and Atiku wanted them excluded because of a Wike. At the end PDP threw it open and Atiku came and picked it.

Wike should have been made the pdp candidate cos when they lost power in 2015, Atiku and others abandoned the party. Not that Jonathan was so good cos second oil boom happened under is tenure and nothing really he did. He just subsidy a lot of things, instead of tackling the root cause. Refineries and east west road was neglected. However if he accepts the pdp ticket for 2027 election, he will win cos Tinubu is not doing well. Northern know he will only have a term and they will vote massively for him and in the south, organic vote is guaranteed mostly in south east and south south. The problem of PDP is not Wike or G5. What is the political relevance of G5 today?

The problem of PDP is that the old guard and the young turks do not see any need to build the party towards sustainability. To them, it is just the vehicle to win elections. There is no respect within the party.

I am not sure Wike has even spoken against the PDP as a party but has dared those against him to challenge him. People like Salihu Lukman who were troublemakers in APC were eased out. If PDP thinks Wike is the problem, can't they ease him out? Can't a new power bloc emerge?

Segun Sowumi was shouting on Channels TV that Tinubu must sack Wike and release him to them. That is speaking from a position of weakness! How do you as a General, ask an opposing General to release someone he captured right under your noses whom he uses for political espionage against you? Which political General with a sound understanding of political arithmetic would do that?

Segun Sowumi and Ugochinyere have publicly admitted defeat. Therefore, we'd like to call on the likes of Bukola Saraki, Ben Murray Bruce, and other intelligent blokes to lead the party. Despite supporting Tinubu, we need a strong opposition to put him on his toes.

The present crop of PDP leadership has failed.

The greatest mistake pdp made was after election lost in 2015, they all abandoned the party, governors of pdp except Wike were not willing to spent a dime, notable leaders like Atiku ran to dubia and others lay low. Wike took upon the leadership and finances. As worst as pdp, they couldn't pay their staff in their national headquarters. Wike was not only financing but putting the Buhari government and Apc in general in checkmate. He has planted us foot soldiers all along and thinking when 2023 presidential ticket is zone to south, he will have no contender but he was betrayed. The leader of pdp should not have allowed Atiku to pick Okowa. Wike at all cost should have been the vice presidential candidate.
