Give anybody there with ten million capital and let see genuinely if he can make profit of ten million in a year. Many there are middlemen without shop. Only few with shop have goods worth ten million and above, but you will see them driving cars worth millions. Recently I was there for more than six times and I went most of the section. Back then in my home town as a manager in my uncle's hotel, many igbos comes from Onitsha, expecially the main market ones for powers in neighbouring town so they lodge in the hotel. The linkman always come and carry them from the hotel to the town who host the shirine. Thou other tribes also come too but honestly igbos are so much. ask about the town called SOMORIKA in Akoko Edo in Edo state. That is were they patronize. The custodian of the shirine don't allow their indigene to participate in any form cos they know the repercussions but since others are willing, they will give them what they want. I don't envy people. 99 percent of people with legal wealth hid it and just few of them float, but the remaining one percent with illegal money make noises because they want to be noticed. I have been making alot of reflections about Nigeria, its direction and what the future holds for the country.

I will use the opportunity to talk about alot of characters, I am of the igbo tribe, I would say what we did well and what we did not do well, and I would talk about others too.

Nigeria is currently in shambles, some days ago a matured man who visited Nigeria told me, we are currently enjoying. I looked at him as the enemy, cause for him to say we are enjoying at a time when people are in agony and poverty, to the extent that people started taking their lives. He explained to me, and gave context to his comment Nigerians are enjoying. What he explained was that:

“In the early 2000’s Nigerians thought they were suffering, African china was singing lead us well and food no dae. This is 2024 and the situation is 50times worst than the early 2000’s and Idris Abdulkareem is singing ebi pawa lokan, in the next 20years when he comes Nigeria would have gotten 100times worst, it would reach a situation where the suffering maybe in 2050, would make what we are suffering in 2024 look like enjoyment”.


I settled down sat back and thought about what he said, his words kept giving me sleepless nights as u thought about not just myself, but my family. I started looking for answers on how we got here.


Nigeria is dying, Apc or Tinubu cannot save Nigeria, Tinubu is here to do the ceremonials of saying he achieved his ambition of being Nigerian president. Not much would change under Tinubu government. Reason not much would change is that Tinubu government is not divine. You can’t come to power, on the back of bloodshed, corruption, hate, tribalism, division and bigotry like never seen before in Nigeria’s history and expect to succeed.


There’s a reason under Tinubu government,
Which tribe after he took power, was a coup happened in Niger, there’s a reason why it was under his tenure as ecowas president 3Nations broke out of Ecowas. There’s a reason all of a sudden companies that have been through heaven and hell in Nigeria for decades from military to civilian governments, yet they started leaving during his tenure. It’s because his government is not divine.


Obasanjo is the best President Nigeria ever had, Obasanjo is the Awolowo of his time, I think Tinubu is the Akintola of his time.

Which tribe promoted tribalism during the electioneering period most, if you are sincere with yourself. Who was attacking others both online and offline to support their candidate. Am not talking of the election date in particular but during campaigns. What would the other candidates has done, when they all agreed they will end subsidy as soon as they were sworn in as president. Who campaigned with religion by even making call to a certain daddy G O, who told the Christian to take back the country that this is a religious war. This is not the first election but why is it when your tribe is informed, it became a problem. You people should be happy they are even tolerant but they have to prove to you guys that they have all he takes to clip you people and that was the angle you people didn't see it coming. You people took their generosity for weakness. Can you dere it to the other tribe. By trying to exploit the same muslim ticket, they used their vote to pass a message to you guys. If they are not important politically, we will not be seeing frequent visiting by one of the contested in their territory. He understands the reason for the vote.

In politics, Alliance and trust is the Hallmark of getting support for political positions. Sadly igbos are far from it cos they play emotional politics. If obi has remain in pdp and vice Atiku by know they will have produced vice president and make sure there is proper agreement with Atiku to also be the president after his tenure. That is how the Yorubas position their selves through jagaban and today they produced vice president and now president. It is all calculations not emotion. 2027 they may be thinking that way but will not work cos Apc governors and other politicians will use everything at their disposal to win their respective states or at least get substantive votes cos they know by 2031, they have it zone to the north. No amount of alignment between Atiku, kwankwanso and El rufai can't stop president Tinubu. Igbos throwaway the golden chance presented to them because of desperation. South east votes are generally for PDP and most of the votes in south south. Learn to be patient.

Ebonyi has fertile land, and Nigerians are experiencing difficulty in feeding. For a government that knows it's onions, now is the best time to invest in agriculture.
Investment in agriculture will provide massive employment to the citizens of this country.

What you said is good but also know that the airport has already been built by the previous administration and since no willing airline to operate, the current governor has now went on agreement to buy one fully and the partners providing for the remaining three. What he need to do is to give incentives by the airline that other local operator has not done. Honestly Umahi should have invested that amount on agriculture. They have the land and manpower cos many ebonyi indigene I used to come across back then in Benin, like farming and some even own farms in their state. During farming season they go and pay others to supervise it and later go again during harvest. The way they talk of the profit they made but may not be big due to low capital. What I take from them is that their lands are fertile. Most governors keep building misplaced priority project. Imagine Umahi used all the money channeled to the airport on agriculture, by know they will be feeding south east and even south south and the state revenue will shore up and the multiplying effect will be enormous in the state.

How did he save Anambra State?

He had 8 years to turn Anambra State around:

(1) By how much did he raise internally generated revenue in Anambra State?
(2) Anambra is the state of Nnewi; how did Peter Obi turn Nnewi into an industrial hub?
(3) What is Obi's record on infrastructure and human capital development?
(4) How many new schools did he build?
(5) By how much did he improve employment in Anambra State?

Peter Obi has been refurbished that people now assign messianic tendencies to him. The history does not favour him.

Peter Obi could not lead an effective campaign especially campaigning in areas he was not strong. Instead, he focused on Lagos and Abuja, forgetting Niger, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Borno, Jigawa, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Bauchi, Sokoto, and Akwa Ibom are part of Nigeria. Naysayers insist by winning Lagos and Abuja, those states didn't matter.

Peter Obi has not shown the ability for conflict resolution, especially with the crisis in his Labour Party where a rogue national party chairman cannot be checked.

As for someone to save Nigeria: NO ONE CAN SAVE NIGERIA. Nigeria can be saved by all of us.

How?

You see that money you want to collect from your fellow citizens before you do the job you are paid for? Don't collect it. You collecting salaries without doing the work or after relocating, you are worse than the politicians. You seilling jobs to fellow citizens, you are part of the problem. You see that your brother doing sit at home and killing innocent people? Report him. You see that your friend doing terrorism and kidnapping, report him to the authorities. You see that your uncle stealing funds and you are hailing him? You are part of the problem. You see that senator using constituency funds to make himself and his biatches happy, hold him to account. You see that governor killing local government administration and holding local government funds, challenge them. You see that pastor collecting your tithe while you go hungry? Use your tithe to feed yourself and your family, let the pastor work himself to feed himself and his family. You see that governor refusing to pay salaries or provide healthcare, put pressure on him. Instead of fighting and projecting unrealistic nonsense towards 2027, use your numbers to hold those there today to account.

In 2015, we saw something in Bauchi State. Voters trekked with ballot papers to the state capital to prevent results from being changed. The governor lost his seat and the sitting president lost the state.

The people have power, but they are too afraid to realize how much of it they have.

PS: Throughout the campaign period, neither Peter Obi nor Datti Baba-Ahmed ever spoke of concrete solutions. Their zingers were "consumption to production", "a new Nigeria is POssible". The worst was when Datti Baba-Ahmed was asked about specific plans to tackle insecurity by Seun Okinbaloye and his response after three nudges from Seun was: "we do, take it from me, we do". The Peter Obi movement was a crystallization of anger and mob populism that had no foundation for development. It was a danger to Nigeria's cohesion. If Obi is serious, he needs to start coming up with a plan so he can speak like a sensible person towards 2027.
