le-Ife online registration for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2017/2018 Academic Session will commence on Monday 11th September and end on Friday 22nd September, 2017.

ELIGIBILITY
1. Candidates who made Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their First Choice Institution in the 2017/2018 UTME and scored 200 and above;
2. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates who chose Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife;
3. UTME Candidates who recently changed their First Choice Institution to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in the just concluded JAMB Change of Programme and scored 200 and above;

In addition to above, candidates must possess at least five (5) O’level credits, including English Language, at not more than two (2) sittings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
The applicants are required to login with their JAMB Registration Number to download Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.

JAMB Begins Sale Of Direct Entry Form, Accredits Interswitch To Vend Epins

In a strategic move to eliminate the possible challenges associated with purchase of ePINs for the 2017 Direct Entry (DE) application for candidates with A-level results and wishing to gain direct admission into degree programmes in Nigerian higher institutions, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has accredited Interswitch as a partner to vend ePINs via its secure and seamless digital payment channels.

This move will not only simplify the registration process, but will go a long way in addressing the nagging issue of fraud and possible shady registration.
In a press statement on Tuesday, July 11 2017, Head of Media at JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin urged all candidates to obtain their pins only at any of the approved partners like Interswitch. Interswitch services are available online, across more than 11,000 ATMs and over 8,000 Quickteller Paypoint Agents across Nigeria.

Desiring candidates can follow the simple steps outlined below,
Step 1: Create your Profile on www.jamb.org.ng

Step 2: To make payment, Select Sales of Form & DIRECT ENTRY, then choose “Interswitch Payment” under Payment Options;

• Click ‘Pay Online Now’ to pay immediately on JAMB website and get ePIN (the PIN will also be sent to the candidate’s mail)
• Or click ‘Quickteller/Bank Branch Payment’ to get a Transaction ID which can be used to complete your payment later on quicketeller.com, Quickteller App, Quickteller-enabled ATMs, at any Quickteller Paypoint Agent Location listed on JAMB website

The senate, at its sitting on Thursday, amended the National Open University of Nigeria Act which had previously hindered graduates of the university from attending the Nigerian Law school and observing the one-year compulsory NYSC. .

The senate resolution was a culmination of the efforts of the senate committee on tertiary institutions and Tetfund, chaired by Jubril Barau, senator representing Kano north constituency. .

Before now, there had been agitations among NOUN students for their inclusion in the NYSC and one year Nigerian Law School program. An ongoing case on the matter is scheduled for hearing on Thursday at the federal high court in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

5 Major Causes of breast pain

It is difficult to pinpoint the main cause of breast pain, but it may be due to one or a combination of these factors:

*.Hormonal changes-
Changes in reproductive hormone levels are strongly related to the menstrual cycle. These in turn coincide with the occurrence of breast pain which may disappear or decrease when the woman gets pregnant or undergoes menopause. However, there are no studies which have linked these hormonal changes to breast pain.

*.Anatomical changes-
Noncyclic pain in the breast may occur as a result of anatomical factors like breast trauma, breast surgery, breast cysts, or other localized changes in the breast.
This type of breast pain can also originate from the chest muscles, joints or the heart, and can radiate to one breast.

*.Imbalance in fatty acids-
Another theory proposes that the breast tissues are sensitive to hormonal levels which are affected by imbalances in fatty acid levels.
This is the reason why some women use evening primrose oil, a source of gamma-linolenic acid (a fatty acid).
It is believed to reduce breast tissue sensitivity to hormones by restoring balance in fatty acid levels.

*.Effect of medications-
Hormonal medications like oral contraceptives, infertility medications and hormonal therapy for menopause can cause breast pain. Other medications that can affect the breasts include antidepressants like sertraline (Zoloft) and fluoxetine (Prozac).

*.Large breasts-
Breast size can bring about constant breast pain that may be accompanied by discomfort in the neck and shoulders, as well as back pain. These may be relieved by breast size reduction.
