I recommend you use a fresh loamy soil from the farm. However, care should be taken to ensure they are devoid of decaying and foreign organic materials which are likely to attract ants and insects to the pen.
There is no point using insecticides or pesticides as that may affect the snails.

Is the mini importation business really profitable? Is it not scam? How and where do I source my products to maximize profit? Can I get the quality I need? What if I pay and the goods I ordered for did not get to me? Is it not another form of yahoo business?

All of these and lots more are questions going in the minds of many. You see, many are still pessimistic when it comes to e-importation because they don’t believe in the first place that anything online is legitimate (while they are wrong, some of the online business opportunities are indeed scam); and secondly because they are scared of taking the huge risk of ordering for a product, paying for the product and someway/somehow/somewhere, they end up not getting their product.

To be sincere, there are lots of stories of people who have been scammed doing this business while trying to buy one thing or another online but then, these are mostly people who did not look before they leap and ignored all traffic signs, people who did not take the right and proper precautions before going ahead to order the products, people who did not learn about the business they want to go into.

By way of clearing your doubts about E-Importation, the basic fact remains that E-Importation (mini-importation) in its very core is very much genuine as there are lots of people tapping from the wealth opportunities that lies therein. Also is the probably now exposed secret that even most of the physical stores we see around us order their products at very cheap price from most of this stores and sell it off for exorbitant prices here in Nigeria.

Let me also make it clear to you that you do not need to pay custom duties on every goods or products that you import except for the bulky products like cars, bikes, goods in heavy containers etc. However, the good thing here is that most of the products or goods that you import into the country will be labeled under "gift" label and, as such, are duty free.

Time is a business on its own and as such it is critical to business. The time frame that the products that you order take to get to you depends on some factors which includes the packaging period of the seller, your shipping company, where the products are coming from etc.

The products can be sourced from any part for the world but then majority of them come from the US, UK and China with China being the major market to import from. While most people get cold feet when they hear about China made products most commonly referred to as “chinko product” in Nigeria, the real truth is that China actually manufactures most of the best quality products that you find around. Many of the products from top brands like Samsung, Apple, HP, Adidas among many others have their companies in China. So, I think this will assure that you are going to be getting products that are high in quality even if they are from China. The reason most of the China products in Nigeria market are sub-standard is because that is what most distributors in Nigeria demand from the manufacturers. It therefore becomes a matter of choice but I will advise you to go for the best and quality products in whatever area of the importation you wish to start.
