A social club in Offa Town, Offa Metropolitan Club, OMC has come to the rescue of the Abdulrazaq's led administration over her failure to commission project after over three years in office with close to N500bn fund acrued to the state from various sources .

Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq has been widely criticised by majority of kwarans for his inability to transform huge fund coming to his government into any sustainable project for Kwara people. Many also compared his over three inglorious years with that of his counterparts from Imo state , Mr Hope Uzodima , a Governor who came to office 8months after Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq but had invited President Muhammadu Buhari on two different occasions to commission project for Imo state people

In a sharp twist of fate on Saturday , an Offa Indigenous social club, Offa Metropolitan Club (OMC) has invited Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq to Offa Town to commission a N350million ultra-modern hospital built and equipped by the club to rescue her people from the deplorable state of hospital in the state .

"In a statement signed and released by the chairman commissioning committee, Offa Metropolitan Club, Aare (Dr.) Waheed A. Olagunju partly read

“The Offa Metropolitan Club (OMC) hereby announces that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will commission the N350 million ultramodern OMC Medical centre at the General Hospital, Offa".

"The state-of-the-art Medical Centre, the first of its kind in Offa, constructed by OMC is being equipped with specialized medical screening and diagnostic facilities such as a medical laboratory for carrying out various tests, an imaging unit fitted with machines for X-ray and CT scan.

Olagunju said Offa Metropolitan Club is glad to also inform the general public that a dedicated transformer, a standby generator, a solar power system and other numerous gadgets required to facilitate the delivery of world class medical services are provided at the Medical Centre.

The commissioning is expected to take place on 24th December but it is not yet clear wether the Governor will be able to withstand the shame and honor the club's invitation . Some Governors allies said the Governor is also mounting serous pressure on some contractors to deliver one of the projects so he can commission before he attend Offa for the hospital commissioning

The only contribution by the Governor according to sources is the donation of land space inside General hospital, upon which the magnificent edifice was erected .

However, the club , through the chairman , commissioning committee has expressed appreciation to the government , Kabieesi Olofa of Offa and other Offa prominent stakeholders who contributed for the success of the project.

A social commentator , who is also a member of the PDP youth council in Kwara state, Comrade Olusegun Olusola Adewara popularly called Sholyments has submitted that Honorable Raheem Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, who currently represents Isin/Irepodun/ Isin/Ekiti and Oke ero federal constituency, should not have sought to retain his parliament seat next year having used about two terms in the green Chamber only to enrich himself and his family while leaving the welfare and the needs of his Constituents unattended to.

Talking to journalists in Ilorin on Sunday ,Sholyments accused the lawmaker of insulting sensibilities of already frustrated constituents with his recent assertion that his party, the APC will get a landslide victory in the state when all he could account for after almost six years in office is an extravagant lifestyles and acquisition of multiple luxurious Mansions in Omu-aran and overseas- all at the expense of his suffering constituents .

He also reminded Olawuyi Ajuloopin that he's not yet a candidate for the coming National Assembly elections as the court was yet to affirm his nomination as APC candidate hence , he described the campaign flag off by Ajulo and his party as contempt of court and a naked dance in the market

"He lost the moral ground a few weeks ago, he was seeking to get APC senate nomination and after losing out in the primary election, he took desperate measures and steps to snatch the reps nomination from someone who had already labored and fought to get it, he is very shameless in his political desperation , he did all these to protect where he is getting free money but our people will vote wisely this time around, our mumu don do’ he submitted"

Comrade Sholyments argued that people's mandate entrusted to Ajuloopin six years ago, had yielded nothing except more job losses and unemployment for young people , increased spate of insecurity, banditry and terrorism including kidnapping of our revered royal fathers and abduction of their queens for ransoms .

He accused Ajuloopin of turning Lawmaking job to mere "Fashionista and show-off" while he flies from Abuja to Lagos every weekend in big Agbada to spray money on musicians while the people who entrusted mandate upon him languish in poverty and fear.

‘For a lawmaker, who's been in office for six years and unable to facilitate a single project apart from those facilitated by his late predecessor -- most of which he has now diverted to say he wants to get re-elected means that such a man lacks any sense of moral judgment"

I don’t think Tunji Olwauyi Ajuloopin has the moral justification to come out and tell his Constituents that he is seeking another term in the office. In as much as it is his democratic right, we are talking about moral justification to somebody who needed to take a retrospect, to assess himself if he has performed or not" ?

"It is quite unfortunate that people around him are not courageous enough to tell him the body language of constituents especially Isin people who felt Ajuloopin and his party wanted to rob them of their mandate in broad day light, a matter that is still subject of litigation."

A serious- minded secondary school prefect would not have listed such ridiculous gifts as an achievement during end of year party"

"Ajuloopin also talked about sinking boreholes , to worsen the matter , he said some students gained admissions into tertiary institutions through him, he didn't say he paid their tuition fees, isn't this ridiculous to hearings?

"Let me remind Ajuloopin that Dare Bankole and Dr Rafiu Ibrahim ,who are not occupying public office , have sunk more boreholes across different communities without noise, they have facilitated more empowerments for different strata of people, without any mandate entrusted to them ,yet they have traversed nooks and crannies and touched people's lives"

"For Ajuloopin, the mansion he just acquired in Omu-aran and other choices places in Kwara including those he bought overseas for the benefit of himself and his family members are the only capital projects he could boast of, I believe his vision for public office is only to enrich himself and spend extravagantly for Lagos-based musicians just for self –adulation.

"If we are to judge by many properties that Ajuloopin had acquired for himself within the last six years , it's a big catch for him and I wish him long life to enjoy his loots . However , our Constituency no longer needs the service of a selfish leader whose focus in public office is self aggrandizement and personal opulence’ he said

The Wife of Governor of Kwara state , Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq Makes APC Presidential Campaign List . She's now the coordinator of the presidential campaign council in the North-Central region .

This is after the Governor's blood brother , Alhaji Baba Abdulrazak was appointed as Deputy , contact and Mobilization for North Central, the Governor's Cousin , Alhaji AbdulRahman Giwa was appointed as the Cordinator for Support Groups in North Central as well

Meanwhile,Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq himself is the campaign coordinator of the Presidential Campaign for Kwara state . In thesame APC where no one one from Kwara south made the list , the entire juicy positions in the apc affairs for the 2023 campaign goes to only AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq family . *....Kwara Govt Borrowed Additional N6Bn between March and June,2022- Report*

Latest Report coming in from the Debt Management office of Nigeria indicated that between March 31st and June 30th , 2022, the debt profile of Kwara state has jumped to one hundred and ten Billion , five hundred and twelve millions , two hundred and twenty one thousand , eight hundred and eighty one naira and sixty four kobo ( N110,512,221,882.64k).

This shows that between the said period of just three months , (March -June,2022), Abdulrazaq Govt has borrowed additional six Billions naira(N6bn) making the state's debts standing to grow from the initial N104bn it was as at 31st March, 2022 to N110.5bn as at June, 30th, 2022.

It is wothty to note that before 2019 , Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq inherited a financially active state with total domestic debt pegged at N59.5bn . This was the figure of kwara domestic debt since its creation in 1967 to 2019. It is also an indication of prudent financial management by successive administrations that preceded the incumbent which seems to major on borrowing away the future of the state.

This shows that Kwara state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq has borrowed more than N60 billion in just three years of his administration, a figure of debt that is more than doubled of the entire debt borrowed by successive government from year 1967 to 2019

Meanwhile , Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, despite this reckless borrowing has not commission a single worthwhile project since he came to office . But his counterpart, Governor Hope Uzodima of Imo who resumed office six months after him had had invited President Muhammadu Buhari to Imo state for project commissioning on two different occasions.

Some states who are neighbours to kwara , including Kogi state have witnessed reduced borrowing in the last four years, for instance Kogi as at 2019 was owing N105.13bn as domestic debt figure compared with this year when the debt figure dropped dtastically to N90.53bn . Same goes for Kaduna which has reduced its borrowing from M97.26bn it was in 2019 to N78.19bn today .

Also Rivers State was owing N266.93bn as at 2019 compared to N225.50bn today while Nassarawa which was pegged at N89.9Bn in 2019 reduced its debt to N72.9B. In Akwaibom, the debt profile as at 2019 was N206.41bn but have been reduced to N203.95bn while FCT had
N132.1bn in 2019 was reduced to N75.7bn in 2022 .

New twist has emerged on the #ContractScam involving supply of Transformers ,which money have been plundered by agent of Kwara government with a company name Best International Energy Services Ltd"

The contractor name according to some document obtained by this medium is given as ABASS ABDULRAZAQ. while Abbas is given as the contractor's first name, Abdulrazaq is his surname which also reflects his family identity.

Recall that top anti-corruption organisations in Kwara, Enetsud had exposed Kwara state government for paying Mr Abass Abdulrazaq a whooping sum of one hundred and thirty eight million , two hundred and fifty eight thousand, seven hundred and fifty N naira (N138,258,750) as an advance payment for the procurement of 35 units of Transformers since May last year .

The momey paid to the contractor represent 70% for the entire project without following procurement law of the state.

The government was said to have released fund to the contractor even before the contract award letter was written. This is against the procurement law of kwara state and suggest a shaddy dealings between the government and the contractor.

Despite so much public comdemation since July when the report was made public, Kwara state government did not disclose the real identity of the contractor nor issue any statement to set the records straight before citizens . The govermennt is supposed to be accountable to the citizens from whom she draw tax to fund her operation .

A social media report during the week indicated that the contractor had fled the state when it was obvious he could no longer supply the Transformers

However, recent developments and opposition pressure have led to the his arrest by law enforcement agents and subsequently charged to court .

Although Mr Abass Abdulrazaq was reportedly arrested and charged to court earlier this week, there is however fear at some quarters that the Governor may influence his trial and give him softlanding in court

Accoording to top government sources , the Kwara state Attorney General on 21st September, 2022 filed criminal complaint in the case of People of Kwara State v. Abass AbdulRazaq & Anor before Magistrate MD Dasuki, Magistrate Court sitting at Ilorin for the offences of Criminal Misappropriation, Criminal Breach of Trust and Advance Fee Fraud contrary to the provisions of Section 311 of Penal Code Law and Section 1 (3) of Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act.

“The 1st Defendant, Abass Abdulrazaq, was dragged to court along with his company, Best International Energy Services Ltd. as the 2nd Defendant.

The FIR reads in part

“It is the Complainant’s case that sometimes in 2021, the Kwara State Government through Ministry of Energy awarded a contract to the aforementioned Abass Abdulrazaq through his company Best International Energy Services Ltd for the supply of 35 units of Beltransfo Electrical transformer with the payment of N138,258,750 as Mobilisation Fee. The Defendants promised to deliver the said transformers within 90 days after payment but failed to do so despite repeated demands by the Ministry of Energy. The Defendants made several undertakings to supply the aforementioned high quality Beltransfo transformers but failed.

“Police investigation revealed that the Defendants misrepresented facts and documents to show that he has the financial capability to execute the contract which, as it turned out, he does not possess. Furthermore, the accused persons have also failed to refund the contract sum of N138,258,750 entrusted to them for the purchase of the said electrical equipment.

“The 1st Defendant/Accused person, while in the dock, pleaded for his bail through his lawyer and he was admitted to bail on conditions of provision of two sureties, in which one of the sureties must be his relative not be below Grade Level 10 in government employment and that the sureties must depose to affidavit of means.”

The case was later adjourned to October 18, 2022 for further hearings.

Reports reaching this medium indicates the break out of serious pandemonium at the Ekiti LG Secretariat, Araromi-opin, where an auto Technician is currently creating scene for failure of the council TIC chairman, to pay him for his services after he was contracted to repair a Tractor said to belong to the Council.

According to the technician who was shouting on top of his voice, Governor Abdulrahaman agent imposed as TIC Chairman for Ekiti LG, Kehinde Bayode has failed to pay him his balance after fixing a broken down tractor on the request of the Secretariat.

The contractor who insisted not to leave the Secretariat unless Bayode pay him, is threatening to embarrass the TIC Chairman if he fails to pay him

He noted that despite huge millions coming to the Secretariat, Ekiti LG is failing in many of its grassroot obligations to citizens and despite that, the council under Bayode wants to cheat him by denying him wages for his sweat

Efforts to get the council chairman's reactions failed as calls to his lines are not connecting at press time .

In continuation of his community impact Intervention project , the Bobaselu of Erinleland and Senatorial candidate of People's Democratic Party in Kwara south , Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim has offered a facelift to the Water serving residents of Igbaja, a community in Ifelodun LG area of Kwara south

The metal Tanks located in front of the palace of our Royal father , The Elese of Igbajaland was before now in critical state as the metal were badly rusted that residents no longer consider the water safe for their domestic use . All efforts to get it done through community contribution and government intervention did not yield meaningful result

However, upon recieving report of the badly damage Water tanks , Senator Rafiu Ibrahim immediately initiated plan to completely overhaul the rusted metal and replace it with new twin 3000litres capacity tanks .

As we speak , the water system is fully back to life with residents and community associations hailing the Senator that cares

This is coming, one week after a community in Oyun LG had recieved similar gesture from Dr Rafiu Ibrahim .

Expressing gratitudes on behalf of the benefiting community abd igbaja people, Pastor Toyin Alabi, the president of Igbaja Progressive Union extolled the passion for humanity embedded in Senator Rafiu Ibrahim while praying for him to be successful in his 2023 aspiration to return to the Senate, noting that such a man will do more for the people if given further opportunity

Announcing the upgrade, Pastor Alabi said:

"My people , i have a good news to share with you all, this evening ,we have successfully replaced the badly rusted metal tank in front of Elese Palace with two GP tanks of 3000 litres capacity each at the market square. This is courtesy of our amiable and caring Distinguished Senator Rafiu Ibrahim "

"May the Lord bless our incoming Senator and make it easy for him to get to the Red Chamber come 2023 so that he can do more for us in IGBAJA .To God alone be all the Glory"

Meanwhile , the Motorised Borehole situated opposite the king's Palace and adjacent Igbaja market square was part of the Community water intervention projects facilitated by Senator Rafiu Ibrahim himself, while serving as member, federal House of Representatives representing the people of Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun federal Constituency.

Igbaja is a home to many incumbent government functionaries including Special Advisers to the state government but the community is yet to feel their pulses as the town is in dare need of motorable road , school, water and other social amenities befitting of such an ancient town .

Some senior staff of University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH, have described the Chief Medical Director of the facility, Dr Abdullahi Dasilva who has just completed his first term in office as a superlative performer, hailing his strides in prioritisation of Staff welfarism , infrastructure facelifts and steady transformation of the hospital facility within a spate of four years.

This was made known by the Sector Chairman ,THS of all teaching hospitals, medical centers and specialist hospitals in Nigeria, Comrade Mustapha Kabir , who's in acting capacity and other staff who attested to the spate of development the facility has witnessed in the last four years of Professor Abdullahi Dasilva Yusuf as Cheif Medical Director

Abdullahi Dasilva Yusuf , a Professor of Psychiatric Medicine with decades of experience in field works was appointed CMD in 2018 and despite inheriting loads of challenges when he assumed office , he had hit the ground running and has achieved imense progress over this period , said Comrade Mustapha Kabir who spoke to our correspondent on phone conversation.

When asked to assess the situation of the hospital management under the CMD's watch over the last four years , Comrade Kabir who's the acting Sectorila Auditor and other staffers who spoke to us described the era as transformative for the hospital .

Comrade Kabir in his speech said:

"Its generally known that Kwara state particularly Ilorin , the capital city has witnessed intense population surge in the last couple of decades as a result of mass movement of Nigerians from north ,south to the state . This has increased pressure over time coupled with the attrition of ‘wear and tear’ on a lot of facilities at the Hospital , apart from this , thosse facilities have also had their capacities been overstretched, especially in view of decades of usage in attending to residents of Kwara who daily throng UITH for minor and tertiary medical cases."

"No doubt, the last four years have been a herculean experience for the hospital management , from staff agitation for their welfare, to attending to decay infrastructure to COVID-19 pressure and to addressing patients continue demands . However, in spite of all these, the Hospital under Professor Abdullahi Yusuf is responding to mitigate the consequences of huge hospital attendance have continued to do everything within his best by ensuring no patient is sent away without getting excellent services ."

"in the last four years, the CMD has not only repositioned the hospital's reputation in terms of service delivery, but has pursued pragmatic and impactful infrastructural projects including policy reforms which positively impacts on the welfare of staffers of UITH thereby placing the Hospital on the path of sustainable growth and development." -he said

Other medics who spoke to this medium on condition of anonymity because they do not have the official capacity to talk to press also added that despite scarce resources, Professor Abdullahi-led institution has vecome a construction site.

"Despite the paucity of funds facing every sector of Government, UITH under the leadership of Professor Abdullahi Dasilva Yusuf has become a huge construction site with several projects to enhance service delivery being put in place . This is why the Hospital community have agreed on a common goal that a man who have championed this laudable projects and reforms deserves to be reappointed for second term so that he can consolidate on the loads of achievements he has started since 2018. "

Some Nigerians on social media have berated Senate President , Ahmad Lawan , for what they described as his off-sense comments on governance in Kwara state .

Nigerians, who attacked Ahmad Lawan right on the verified Facebook page of the " Senate President" vent their angers on the Senate President saying heis presiding over a country where killings , hardship , hunger, banditry and terrorism prevail .

SP Ahmad Lawan was in Kwara state over the weekend on the instances of Senator Oloriegbe who was inaugurating some constituency projects in Kwara central.

Lawan had during the event on Saturday, advised the people of Kwara State not to allow those they chased out of the State Government House in 2019 to find their way back to power.

The senate President thereafter made the post on the official Facebook page of Senate President codenamed "The Senate President-Nigeria calling on Kwarans to reject the attempt to reclaim the state from the APC government.

Reacting to the Facebook post , some Nigerians accused Lawan of being a rubber stamp senate President, saying that he lacks moral right to talk ill of past administration under whose kwarans and Nigerians enjoyed fairer economic progress and shared prosperity.

They described Lawan as the most useless Senate President in the history of Nigeria since 1999 noting that as senate President, Lawan, in conjunction with President Buhari and APC government have been presiding over increasing poverty , hunger , incessant killings of Nigerians , banditry as well as terrorism which have ravaged Nigeria under the APC government

Some of those who reacted also said they would prefer that PDP return to power if the party will rescue the country from the current mess occasioned by government failures at all levels .

For over 2 weeks , Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq through some of his agents have been mounting pressure on some notable youths, women as well as artisans from Kaima, inducing them with ten thousand naira cash gift, T-shirts and Ankara so as to bring them to APC .

One of the programs lined up for his brother, Dr Alimi turbaning ceremony today is tbr planned reception of opposition figures into APC in order to impress invited guests especially Senate president Ahmad Lawan- who has been sold dummies that PDP is no more existing in kwara .

A former Commissioner for education in kwara state, Engineer Musa Yeketi is currently in a state of dilemma following his inability to influence some PDP Youths from Asa local government and some of his political supporters into joining him in his sinister plan to swing allegiance to APC .

Musa Yeketi , who recently held close door meeting with Kwara state governor, Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq , where the Governor reportedly gave him five million naira (N5m) to buy him over to APC had promised the Governor of his readiness to cross carpet .

Yeketi, a former board chairman at Kwara state Polytechnic, after receiving the cash also assured the Governor of his readiness to join APC and also take more than two thousand youths and supporters of PDP alongside with him to join the Governor's party . He was quoted as saying he needed just three days to harvest prominent members of PDP in Asa LG and beyond into the APC- to rally support for the Governor's second term bid .

But luck ran out of Yeketi after some youths he called to meetings in his house angrilly turned down his agenda to lure them to APC . The youths made up of party officials and some political associates of the former commissioner asked him during the meeting to return the N5million he collected and retrace his step or face political embarrasment of his life in Asa.

One of those who attended the meetings confided in this medium that he was surprised that Engineer Musa Yeketi with all he had gained under PDP goverment could easily fall for just N5million .

"I'm so surprised that a man of Yeketi status who had fed so fat under Pdp could easily sold his conscience over N5m , is it that he has gone so broke or he was not in his right senses when he was collecting the money? What gave him the confidence that youths will follow him, a man who did not help any of us when he was empowered "

Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq ,who has been calling top members of PDP including youths ,luring them with huge momey to buy them over to his side have faced seruous rejections by vast majority of those he engaged .

The Governor had called him twice to ask for the update but Yeketi has been giving irrelevant excuses asking the Governor to give him more time to complete his consultation.

..Accused GM of Employment Fraud, illegal Sales of Agency's operational vehicles

Staff of the Kwara state Rural Electritfication Agency (KSREA) have been grumbling over refusal of Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq led government to enlist them among beneficiaries of the 30k minimum wage recently implemented by the state government.

The staff also blamed the Board's General Manager , Mr Sahaba Muazu, whom they claimed had been in acting capacity for more than two years as against constitutionaly acceptable term for such postion .

The angry staff alleged that the GM in a sinister manner conspired with some of his political godfather in government house and secretly conducted an illicit recruitment of his kinsmen ,including his female friends, a process they said added thirty nine (39) more names to the existing staff strenght of the board raising the staff number from initial 99 hannded over to him in 2020 by his predecessor to one hundred and thirty eight (138) staff capacity

The sudden increase in staff numbers have began to affect the original staff of the board who feel that the state government deliberately removed Kwara state Rural Electritfication Board from list of government parastatals captured for 30k minimum wage recently implemented for state workforce because the staff numbers have been overbloatted against the budgetary provision for same purpose .

Aside from blaming the GM for corruptly injecting his kinsmen into the agencys workforce , the staff also described Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as highly insensitive leader, considering the levity manner he has handled the matter despite their cries to him .

Similarly, they also accused Mr Muazu of selling operstion vehicles of the board without following laid down rules. According to them , Mr Muazu had unilaterly sold some equipments belonging to the agency while sharing the money to his government house godfathers who ensure he's covered up no matter the level of impunity he perpetrated .

Some of the equipments said to have illegally sold include , A crane lorry used for transformer installation, HAIB Pickup both of which are worth hundreds of millions of Naira.

Many who spoke to this medium comfirmed that Mr. Muazu has been running KWREB like his private estate . They also implore the state government to place embargo on the only Hillux left for the agency as the MD is already calling for interested buyers to show sold out some of the agancy's operational vehicles, submitted during the handing- over note, without due process,


Earlier, an article titled " The Submergence Boat of Kwara Agency, mal with Corruption and Incompetency" was said to have found its ways into media space detailing the high levels corruption going on in KWREB under the acting MD who's supposed to have step aside for a substantive MD but who has continously enjoys extension of duty due to the dictates of his undercovers giving him shield from government house .

According to the articem "unfortunately, the agency is presently in the wheel of an underserved hand, who enjoys strong backing from both his godfather/mother in the helms of affairs; from the Governor's Office who arranged Mr. Muazu Shaaba, the Board Secretary to be in charge, as an Acting General Manager of KWREB, since 2020 which the tenure has lapses to appoint a qualified Engineer with required certificate in the field of Electrical Engineering"

"Since Mr. Muazu has been on his acting position where he enjoys his sinister agenda on how to destroy the agency without caring for its legacy, its objectives, including on the staffs welfarism. "

Thus, according to the source of the story, it revealed that, " Mr. Muazu has been running KWREB like a private entity, he sold out some of the agancy's operational vehicles, submitted during the handing- over note, such as crane lorry, Haib, pickup worth millions of Naira without due process, he made secrets employment to his mistress, a sex worker with a forged citizenship certificate of Patigi LGA indigenouship. Also, he inflated the Number of Staffs to his own advantages from 99 to 129 on the recently submitted staff disposition to the office of Head of Service, to benefit from the newly signed thirty thousands minimum wage illegally. Similarly, he employed GL 8 which the board has no capacity to do so, and as a result, the numbers of staffs that was recently employed is capable incapacitated the agency in paying the newly 30 minimum wage runs to 30 people with the claimed that the allocated resources for the payment of January Salary can't pay, from the already disbursed voucher, with cash backing for its disbursement.

" From the analysis, its revealed that, only 99 staffs are permanently recruited by the board as at December, 2021 and later jumped into 129 staffs due to the carelessness attitude of the Head of Service, supposed to makes a special request for the last payment staff disposition before submission. Thus, this amounted to the conspiracy against the board and its people. "

"He makes secret recruitments, padded with fake certificate, diverts several millions of Naira meant for Staff welfarism and a capacity training and threaten some existing staffs who are more aware of the ongoing atrocities with sack letter", it added.


Since its inauguration in 2019, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq government have been riddled in several corruptions allegations, most of which still remains unanswered till date .

In May 2021, a fresh insight publications exposed how Abdulrahman appointee, Professor Sheheu Adaramaja was drawing salary from University of Ilorin as a lecturer as well as drawing from SUBEB concurrently when he knows its criminal to indulge in such act . No known query has been sent to him neither did anyone bother to probe him over this .

Recently, the Auditor General of Kwara had raised alarm over spending of government money without providing receipts of transactions, although, this has cost him his job as Audior General but kwarand will be grateful.

Court Jails Governor Abdulrahman Loyalist over Corruption, Forgery

A High Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, has sentenced a close ally of Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq Governor of Kwara state , Mr Alhassan Bagudu to one-year imprisonment for making a false statement to an investigator.

Bagudu, who is a former Chairman of the Kaiama Local Government and a chieftain of Kwara All Progressive Congress is core a loyalist of Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq and one of political strategists of the Governor in Kaima was charged by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission on two counts bordering on making a false statement to its investigator.

Bagudu was said to have pleaded not guilty to the charge and also seek Governor Abdulrahman influence to frustrate the fraud case

A statement on Thursday by the agency’s spokesperson, Azuka Ogugua, said during the trial, the ICPC counsel, Peace Arocha and Golden Iwuagwu, told the court how the former local government chairman purchased a used Toyota Prado SUV for his official use at the sum of N13m, whereas the approval was for a brand new vehicle.

Ogugua added that the court also heard how Bagudu claimed that the SUV was purchased by Quadrish Motors, while knowing the same to be false and thereby making a false statement to a constituted authority.

She said the action of the former chairman was in contravention of Section 25 (1) (b) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000 and punishable under the same Section.

The Kwara State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to explain to the people how and why he misappropriated N6 billion of the state funds as contained in the audit query raised by the State Auditor General.

In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Mr. Tunde Ashaolu, the PDP said it was surprising that instead of responding to the audit query, some manipulations began in which the auditor general was intimidated to reverse himself and records concerning the funds were destroyed.

“The Governor Spent N6bn from 2021 to 2022, most of which were not properly receipted, and fake documents from fictitious companies were discovered across government offices to cover up the obvious misuse of funds.

"With impunity, he does things on a whim because he has every institution of the state wrapped around his finger, whereas State Executive Council meetings where some of these funds and projects were supposed to be approved do not hold.

“Audit queries were raised on several ministries and parastatals, and it was found that these MDAs do not know about projects that pertain to their ministries. We shall soon send documents and other details to the anti-graft agencies accordingly.

“We vividly remember the drama that was staged at the office of the state Auditor General, an office that should be independent by the provision of the law, but the foul play can't be ignored with the semblance of executive intimidation or manipulation.

“The Auditor-General after auditing the state 2020 account between the month of last April to June personally raised a red flag to some financial irregularities in the spendings of the Governor’s Office, Government House and eight other Ministries, Departments or Agencies.

The respected Auditor General on 30th September 2021, raised questions on some missing receipts of transactions in those government departments, running into N6.2billion. In a turn of events a few hours after making the allegation, the Auditor General changed the narrative, 'exonerating' each of the indicted Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

“They must have taken Kwarans for fools because there are only two explanations for this scenario, either the Auditor General is incompetent or the state is currently perpetuating the biggest executive heist in its history.

" It is therefore no surprise that none of the TIC chairmen can boast of a single project in their respective council all because the state Governor has usurped the duties of the local government councils.

“For emphasis, this Government has an inflow of close to N400bn from (FAAC, IGR, Grants, Loans/ Bonds, and Refunds for jobs done by previous administrations) in three years, is it commensurate to what is on ground presently?

“Those are the real questions to be attended to, we are interested in what is happening in Kwara now. If there are infractions in the past, the best step to be taken is to approach the court and prosecute those found wanton and not play around with cheap propaganda”, the party stated.

The PDP added that, "the recent needless noise being made by the AbdulRazaq led administration on the illegal taking over of Kwara State property, due to Shonga Farms instead of simply challenging the action in court was just a mere diversionary tactic.

“The intentional misinformation on ownership of Shonga Farm is a very disappointing one and it has been made worse by a pointless press conference organized by the State government which is nothing short of a waste of time and scarce resources of the state.

“It is a cynical gimmick concocted at diverting people's attention away from the real issues at hand, most importantly the maladministration and mismanagement of resources that have become the hallmark of the Kwara State government under the clueless AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

“The issues concerning Shonga were very clear. If the incumbent government has enough evidence that makes the past administration complicit or culpable, it can approach the court rather than making unnecessary noise.

"The government should also join issues with AMCON in court. AMCON is doing what they are doing because they have seen Kwara State under AbdulRazaq as a soft target. The corporation has the option of taking over the properties of four banks that are shareholders in the Shonga Farms.

“The Governor can make better use of the energy expended on chasing shadows, by giving a detailed explanation on his lackluster performance, despite having amassed close to N400bn in three years, most of which were squandered on mysterious white elephant projects, in his futile hunt for glory.

“He can explain the comedy of errors playing out at Osi in Ekiti Local Government  Area. The saddest part of the ugly development is that the Ministry of Health is trying to insult the intelligence of Kwarans in its statement claiming the accusation is "the handiwork of detractors", for goodness sake the video is glaring for all to see.

“This shouldn't be strange, at least not to people following the series of events in Kwara state and the present government penchant for blaming its predecessors at every given opportunity. The obsession of the state governor with past administrations would not have been worrisome if he is doing better than what we had in the past. On the contrary, things are getting worse.

“Sadly, our standard has dipped as a state. We should not expect much from someone whose academic qualification remains shrouded in mystery. The question we ought to be asking ourselves now is, "does he even have the capacity for the office? ".

Gov Abdulrazaq should apologize for intentionally misleading the people - Kwara PDP

**The governor playing politics with the assets of the State

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, have charged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to make a public apology for intentionally misleading the public with lies and propaganda on the ownership of Shonga Farm.

The Kwara PDP said this via a statement issued by its State Publicity Secretary, Mr Tunde Ashaolu, in the wake of reports that the farm is owned by former Governor of the state, His Excellency, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and that he used the state asset as collateral to fund the project.

"If Governor Abdulrazaq and his party the APC, have any integrity left in them, they ought to apologize to Kwarans for misleading them with lies and propaganda prior to 2019 elections and now the lies and false narratives sold to the public, that the Shonga Farm Limited was owned by His Excellency, Dr Abubakar Bukola saraki.

"With current revelation, it is now known that the true ownership consisting of banks, investors and Kwara State Government, spitting their lies back in their faces.

"Since the ownership structure for Shonga Farm is now put to rest (with Kwara State Government having the least share in the ownership structure) how come it is the State Asset that AMCON is coming after?

"Despite being the largest shareholders, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), and Access Bank with branches all over the country defended thier assets from being taken over by AMCON, despite the law that allows them to go after the assets of the directors of the company.

"It's clear that Kwara state asset was not pledged for any loan on the Shonga project. It's the same insensitivity of the state Goveernment under the leadership of the Governor, whose sense of reasoning and judgement have been beclouded by his obsession for the 'destruction of Saraki', typical of whose agenda is based on deception.

"We advice him and his minions in government to ensure that Kwara does not lose any properties on the alter of dirty politics and false narrative or propaganda that keeps bursting by the public day by day.

"Governance is a serious business and not an avenue for mediocrity to thrive. Hence, we implore all Kwarans to watch and see the lies and propaganda used to sway and decieve us by the APC fall like a pack of cards. It's better we take our destiny in our hands and boot them out in 2023", the statement submitted.

And to clear the doubt of unrepentant Saraki followers who are celebrating upgrading and Rehabilitation as special projects in Kwara State...

The word of #Special difficulties for the followers of Saraki to digest about the administration of Saraki in Kwara State.

Part of many leadership Qualities is Creativity and Initiatives.

Which is very important in the leadership style.

There is no way the leader will have these qualities without having Special Projects. Which will be serving as an unbeatable achievement.

Because, there is no way the Government may worry that they will not patronize Education, Health, Water and Road.

But what differentiates the Government is their New Initiative and Creativity towards development of the state. 

What makes Nigerians hail Lagos and Kano state today is their New Initiative and Creativity.

This shows that KWASU is the upgrading of our state Tertiary Institution not Special Projects

- KWIRS: Remember before KWIRS, there was an agency in charge of generating revenue for Kwara State.

This project is also Upgrading not Special Project

Post Office Bridge: this is not special but upgrading due to the challenges of traffic in that location

And many more like that which they are claiming as Saraki 16 years achievement in Kwara State.

In a statement signed by its Head, Democratic Mobilization and Monitoring Desk, Hajia Adeola Bashiru, the group said Lawan's comment was thoughtless and preposterous, and challenged him to point at any significant achievement Abdulrazaq had recorded in three years that necessitated his silly remark.

The group noted that the Senate President's comment was typical of the lies, deception and propaganda the All Progressives Congress (APC) is reputed for and which they used to gain access to power. It however said Kwarans now know better and can no longer be swayed by lies, propaganda and deceit of the APC.

“Senate President Ahmed Lawan was in Kwara on Saturday. He was NOT here to commission projects or inspect any ongoing project by the State government he rated as the best; he was here to attend an empowerment programme by a senator. But funny enough, he said the present state government led by Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has, in two years, done well and surpassed the achievements of two previous administrations.

“While governors in other states have been commissioning critical infrastructural projects in their states, nothing seems to be happening in Kwara. In the news, you read how governors like Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Seyi Makinde of Oyo and Babagana Zulum of Borno have been implementing critical projects and programmes for their people.

“Recently, President Muhammadu Buhari visited Ogun and Kaduna states to inaugurate some legacy projects executed by Governor Abiodun and El Rufai. Kwarans are also waiting for Buhari to come to their State to commission projects. Move around Kwara, you cannot find any key project the governor has completed in almost three years in office. In the whole of Kwara, there is no single road project the governor had started and completed.

“Why then would any right thinking person claim that a Governor who had not completed any remarkable project in three years of his administration, had surpassed the achievements of the 16 years administrations of Saraki and Ahmed? It is a disrespect and an insult for anyone to make such a silly comparison.

“Senator Lawan is probably not aware of the growing disenchantment of Kwarans towards the Abdulrazaq administration and needs to be told that he made a joke to the wrong crowd. Kwarans definitely know better and would be amused by his comment and false performance claim. The Senate President should know that with the ineptitude and poor performance of Governor Abdulrazaq, he cannot meet half of the achievements of Saraki and Ahmed administrations let alone surpass them.

“The records are there and no amount of lies and propaganda can erase the legacies of both Saraki and Abdulfatah Ahmed. For the avoidance of doubt, many of the developmental projects and programmes Kwara can boast of today, are products of the two administrations Lawan and his likes, are trying hard to discredit.”

....It's insincerity, desperation and political manipulation for the Governor's 2023 Re Election Bid

Kwara Advancement Initiatives, a responsible and responsive civil society group, has critiqued, the recent salary review for Kwara civil servants, says it's just another deceptive tactic by the 'one chance' Governor, to sway the people to his unpopular second term bid.

The statement reads in parts, "It is quite easy to applaud the recent review of salaries in the state civil service if only the timing is not reeking of insincerity which can only be considered as a political gimmick to enhance a failed reelection plan.

"Despite having a protracted battle with the Labour Unions, Civil Society Groups in the state over this same issue with series of intrigues of lies, propaganda, and blackmail which the labour had come out severally to debunk, so what changed at the dawn of the election?

"This is an obvious act of desperation and a ploy to con Kwarans into another four years of servitude, trying to deceitfully make the people submit their mandate at the alter of trickery.

"The same civil servants and labour union that the Governor has ignored right from the get-go of his administration have suddenly become his new bride three years after himself and his political party, APC had given them false electoral promises in the build up to 2019 elections.

"It's important to note that after a strategic meeting, the Governor was made to understand by his party and inner caucus, that the numbers are not looking good for him on his re election bid, so he decided to go this route to further ensure the people are kept in the chains of deception.

"One can't help but wonder what really changed, is it the federal allocation, or the internal revenue or what gold has the state struck, that had heralded this sudden Greek gift, that he could as well have paid since his first or second year, but why now that the election is approaching?

"If he is truly sincere, why can't he pay the backlog arrears of the increment since his first year in office as promised prior to the 2019 elections? With the review, is the salary of the civil servants now equal or higher than that of their counterparts in Niger, Oyo, kogi, Ekiti, Oyo and others as promised ? The answer is NO!

"It might seem sudden to most, but it is quite necessary considering a rude awakening the Governor has received inform of the bitter truth told to him that he is losing his popularity contest and chance at reelection, premised on some sampled public opinion and polls conducted.

"KAI is using this medium to appeal to Kwara workers to objectively look at this issue and ensure that they are not taken for a second ride and allow themselves to fall for the same tricks and antics used on them at the last elections.

"We also urge Kwarans to ask the Governor why the sudden desperation to hold on to power at all cost? It is no rocket science that it is due to his unprecedented financial recklessless and corruption that will be unveiled once this Government is out of office.

"We as an organization with the interest of Kwarans at heart, challenge the state government to a public debate on all the points raised, if truly they have good intention for the people.

"The Governor should do well to escape the bubble he is being kept in by his yes men. He needs to wake up to the reality that Kwara workers are not for sale and Kwarans are wiser now and will surely make the right decision in 2023.

Following his official declaration for APC yesterday , some civil society organisations have kick started a process to petition American Embassy in Nigeria to launch investigation into this shaddy identity both in the United state and that of Nigeria with a view to unravel the mystery behind his multiple identities

There is an insinuation that the name DONALD WALKER he's using in US must have been stolen from an IDP camp between Sierra Leone and US where the original Walker is from . Thr reasons for such action still remains sketchy but some NGOs are already taking this up to unravel what could inform such nasty behaviour

Lateef Adeshina Yusuf, as he called himself at yesterday rally confided in some of his close allies in Ojoku shortly after the defection ceremony, that some APC chieftains from Oyun told him Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is giving out cash to anyone who expresses willingness to join APC and that he is only tapping into the opportunity to cash out his own shares.

Meanwhile ,Some PDP members in the state have challenged APC stakeholders in Oyun to come out with Adeshina's PDP membership card or show any evidence of his party activities in time past.

"We've been mocking them since yesterday after the show of shame they called reception of PDP members called Lateef Adeshina Yusuf and some others , from what we know , they only stage managed that defections to corner money from government house . The Kwara state government under mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq has been exposed for embarking on secret recruitments into several MDA’s and parastatals under the state civil service , this medium can reliably gathered .
The underground employments which started this week targeted about nine hundreds (900) persons mostly AA supporters. This recruitment is purposely aimed at mobilizing supports for governor Abdulrahman second term bid especially from grassroots where people will be cajoled with jobs in exchange for political support for the governor and his party.
According to multiple sources from civil service, about twenty six(26) persons whose names were compiled from Government house and sent to civil service commission for immediate issuance of employment letters came to the secretariat, Ilorin, on Tuesday where they were captured for immediate employment.
The sources who preferred anonymity explained that all of the twenty six beneficiaries are relatives of top kwara state government functionaries including wives, brothers as well as woman friends of some of the members of the Kwara state house of Assembly.
According to them , notable among the first 26 beneficiaries included one Mrs Seidu who happened to be housewife of Honorable Sheidu Baba, member representing Kaima state constituency in the house . Another beneficiary of the job racketeering is one Mr Yusuf Salhiu , a younger brother to Honorable Salhiu Mahmud ,member representing Okuta/Yasikira constituency at the house .

Apart from these , the Speaker of the house , Yakubu Danladi was said to have cornered more than 10 slots for himself which was said to have been distributed to some of his middlemen including some of his female colleagues at FUTMINA, his former place of work . but the speaker had only released one slot each for all members except for Hon Raheem Agboola and Saheed Popoola who may not have been considered due to their stance against impunity going on in the state .
Meanwhile, there are outstanding recruitment exercise that was said to have been conducted last year to engage some health personnel into various state government hospitals across the state . The recruitment excercise which was duly conducted through the civil service , a department empowered to conduct such exercise on behalf of government was suspended over a political advice sold to the Governor by some of his cronnies who believed employment into government agencies must be used to draw political fortunes for the Governor . some Applicants who participated in the exercise said they have gotten to the last stage and have been expecting call for their letters since last year but nothing is coming forth
However, there was a mild drama when some of these applicants got wind that some 26 persons supposedly relatives of those in government were about to be presented employment letters, decided to storm the venue of the secret recruitment in protest of their long overdue employment which had been put on hold without reasons. The protesting persons numbering about ten were however resisted by fully armed men of civil Defense corps drafted to the venue to provide maximum security for the beneficiaries of the secret employment.

The Kwara state civil service commission is the only organ of government empowered by law to conduct recruitment exercise on behalf of the state government. it is expected that such exercise carried out by the commission will follow all laid down regualtions and be conducted in a transparent manner devoid of partisan politics of favoritism. But in this case , competency as well as capacity of candiadates have been traded for partisan politics where list of beneficiaries were compiled by politicians from government house and sent to the civil service for admission into various ministries of government .
Its important the civil service commission insulate itself from crude politics so that the great legacy set out by our heroes past will not be shattered because of one mans ambition . The Civil servant must summon courage to speak up for justice anytime impunity such as this is designed by politicians who do not care about the future of the state.

...Staff fumed , Demand open Declaration during End of Year party

There was mild anxiety during the end of year party organised for staff of Kwara state Internal Revenues services (KWIRS) , this past week over attempt by management to suppress voices of staff demanding open declaration of income generated by the agency for the year 2021.

According to multiple sources who attended the occassion but pleaded anonymity , the atmosphere at the get together party drifted when some staff began to murmur over refusal of KWIRS Chairman, Mrs Shade Omoniyi to declare amount generated for the preceeding year in her keynote address.

The staff became worried after it was discovered that Mrs Shade Omoniyi deliberately bypassed an item in the order of program spelt out to make her declare total income generated by the agency for year 2021

Announcing annual returns generated by the agency is a tradition since the inception of the KWIRS under past administrations. At an occasion such as the end of year party where all staff are brought together, it is an habit that the management announce to hearings of all staff, total amount generated on behalf of the state for the preceeding year. This is designed to promote transparency, accountability and also to motivate staff who are relating directly with taxpayers across the state .

Some staff who could no longer hold their frustration at the chairman who concluded her speech without mentioning amount generated for the year stood up in annoyance, raised their voices and demanded that the chairman declare the amount before everybody

One of the staff who attended the party said:

"When our noise was too loud, she was reinvited to the rostrum to make amendment but everybody was surprised when she said that she needed to consult before making declaration about amount generated for last year. When she observed that the staff did not accept her claim, she immediately switched and told us they have issues with the computation"

"Let me tell you , our people are angry that the management has been operating like a secret cult where only the chairman and her allies in government are the one entitled to know about administration of agency we all joined hands to build."

Another staff also said

"Yes , there was apprehension after Mrs Omoniyi dropped microphone without touching that important area despite staff murmur . People felt the management is not operating open policy , a lot of things that were made public in the last dispensation have now become secret affairs . Yet it is the staff that go in the sun and rain to fetch this money , how can they seat in their air conditioned offices and keep information about the money we all generated to themselves? "

Concluding his statement, he said :

"I just want to let you know that kwirs management are trying hard not to declare what they generated as revenue in the course of last year to the public"

Meanwhile, this is almost a week after the party , KWIRS management is yet to make public declaration of the total amount generated in the year 2021. A search into the organisation official website did not show anything relating to such .
