Politics / Drama As Kwara Governor Could Not Lead Muslim Prayer At Edo APC Rally by Kelf2016(m): 8:04pm On Sep 14
In a rather embarrassing moment today during the APC campaign rally in Benin City, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State was unable to lead a simple Muslim prayer when called upon to offer the opening prayers for the event. The incident has left many in shock, especially given the Governor’s background and the religious nature of the prayer.

The Governor, visibly uncomfortable, was seen pleading with the event moderator to nominate someone else. In an effort to save face, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nassarawa State stepped in to deliver the prayer on his behalf, further raising eyebrows.

This incident adds to the ongoing critique of Governor Abdulrahman’s leadership style. Since taking office in 2019, the Governor has maintained a noticeable distance from directly addressing Kwarans, even during critical moments like the looting of businesses during the COVID-19 lockdown.

This latest occurrence only deepens concerns about the Governor’s reluctance to engage with Kwara people he was elected to lead, as well as his lack of personal initiative in moments that require basic leadership.

Politics / Expelled Kwara Pdp Youth Leader Eventually Find An Abode In Amana Camp by Kelf2016(m): 7:28pm On Aug 07
Eventually, after his expulsion from PDP few months back, Haliru Dantsoho Mahmud has become a politically displaced person , looking for next available IDP camp where he can settle.

Immediately after he was expelled , he attempted to decamp to APC but the APC structure in Kaiama, his own village placed embargo against his entry , noting that such an unstable character and a political liability has no place in their party.

Knowing fully well that Senator Sadiq is interested in gubernatorial race for 2027 and will most likely not want to reject anyone, including a mad man who can add just number to his support base , Mahmud Dantsho forced himself upon the Kwara North Senator with the hope of entering APC through him. This was same man who put the expelled youth leader behind bar for days in time past to teach him a lesson that he is not a regular politician he can toy with .

However , their fake marriage could not last a month , the Senator is smarter than the poltically displaced and expelled youth leader. The senator will also not want to publicly identify with Dantosho because of his poltiical stigma. The Senator cannot also afford to be funding the extravagant lifestyle of such a displaced political merchant. In less than a month Dantosho fled , went underground and looking for next available prey .

In what seems to be a smart move for him, the only man ready to partner anybody , including the devil as long as it is ready to join his unrealistic gubernatorial dream is another political Dantshoo , the DG of NILDS who instead of focusing on delivering his national assignment is busy showcasing his desperation and jumping from one party to the other.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome Expelled PDP Youth Leader to his newly found IDP camp, un-Amana camp whose desperation is also pushing from one party to the other. We are watching with HD camera where these will end them but Kwarans aren't idiots .

Irrespective of photo with our amiable Gov Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, he cannot pretend not to know all DG of NILDS have said against him when he was in PDP. He just came last month and already displaying his desperation as he did in PDP. People close to Dantosho and Amana should help wake them up from their slumbers and tell them APC IS NOT PDP

In this place , we will cut them to their sizes regardless of the volume of their vomit they are ready to consume!

I'm coming back

Politics / Kwara Gov Connives With Top APC Chieftain To Send Top Islamic Cleric To Prison by Kelf2016(m): 5:45pm On Apr 07
Gov Abdulrazaq connives with top APC chieftain to send Ilorin Top Islamic cleric, Sheikh Solihudeen to Prison For Criticizing Govt Policies

In his usual show of intolerance to criticism, the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has connived with ex-Senator Suleiman Ajadi to wage war against a popular Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Abdulrazaq Solihudeen for condemning some of his government policies.

The Governor and Ajadi in one of the moves, initiated a legal case against the frontline Islamic Scholar in Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Abdulrazaq Solihudeen, of Alfa Aremo Compound, Ojuekun-Sarumi in Ilorin West LGA.

Sheik Solihudeen Aremo had in one of his recent Ramadan lectures, chided the pretentious holier-than-thou attitude of the state Governor since he assumed office.

He also rebuked him for witch-hunting those he perceived as his political opponents and instigating their former allies against them.

The vocal cleric further lampooned Ajadi for allowing himself to be used as pawn in the game of political chess and dumped afterwards.

This, however, did not sit well with the Abdulrazaq led APC government.

In his characteristic manner, Governor Abdulrazaq and his ally, Ajadi, dragged Sheik Solihudeen to court for condemning his policies.

As hearing in the case commences tomorrow, Monday, the development has generated reactions from Kwarans with many seeing it as an affront on religious leaders.

The incumbent government has been criticized several times for trying to suppress dissenting views by using security apparatus to hunt critics.

End.

Politics / Gov. Abdulrazaq Not Portraying Nigerian Governors Forum In Good Way - Kwara PDP by Kelf2016(m): 3:26am On Mar 12
Kwara PDP Drags KWASIEC for Failing to Fulfil February Promise to Kick-start LG Electoral Processes

...Lambasts Gov Abdulrazaq for his continue usurpation of LG administration in the state

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned in strong terms the failure of the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC), under the chairmanship of Alhaji Okanla Baba, to fulfill its promises of kickstarting local government electoral processes in February as stated in the commission's official statement earlier this year.

The Party noted that for the commission to renege on its earlier February promise without any further explanation to the people affirmed that the KWASIEC has turned to Governor Abdulrazaq's tool rather than the people's institution.

This policy somersault, which is not the first time for KWASIEC, has already established the fear of all Kwarans and the position of Kwara PDP during the last public hearing on the LG amendment bill, which had been imposed as law on Kwara state that the Abdulrazaq-led APC government is not prepared to conduct LG elections in the state until year 2025.

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday signed by the PDP Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments), the Party maintained that the present KWASIEC, under the chairmanship of Alhaji Okanla Baba, is being remote-controlled by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, thus losing public credibility to undertake LG electoral exercises that will be free, fair and acceptable to all Kwarans.

"For the umpteenth time, our party hereby passes a vote of no confidence in the Okanla-led KWASIEC and calls for its immediate dissolution, failure of which the party will be forced to take legal action to rectify these anomalies and planned rape on grassroots democracy.

"No Kwaran will sit back comfortably and watch KWASIEC which had pledged its loyalty to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and promised never to disappoint him be a referee on LG elections in the state," the party added.

"Meanwhile, the Kwara PDP is displeased with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for deliberately failing to conduct LG elections for over four years of his administration, thereby crippling governance at that level and subjecting grassroots communities to untold hardship, rampant insecurity, and avoidable hunger.

"Just like the people of Kwara, we are deeply disappointed that a man who rode on the Otoge (Change) mantra and prides himself as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum could exhibit such impunity and affront on Nigerian law. We make bold to say the Nigerian Governors Forum of this dispensation will continue to lose her reputation and national acceptability if a man who continues to illegally usurp the administration of 16 LGAs with reckless impunity is now the symbol of such an exalted forum in Nigeria.

"Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the Yakubu-led Kwara State House of Assembly will continue to be held responsible and bear the burden for the blood of innocent Kwarans being callously shed by bandits and kidnappers at the grassroots, as well as the untold hardship, hunger, and insecurity faced by people in remote communities for almost five years due to their deliberate refusal to give the local government areas democratically elected structures to oversee their affairs.

"In conclusion, we call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) to exercise their executive power and halt further disbursement of monthly allocations due to the sixteen LG areas in Kwara which is the major reason LGAs have been under siege. This action will not only compel Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to promptly conduct LG elections in the state but also help in breathing a sense of relief and restore peace and order to our people at the grassroots."

Politics / Kwara:pdp Fumes Over Attempt By Gov Abdulrazaq To Drag Royal Fathers Into Politi by Kelf2016(m): 5:44pm On Mar 01
PRESS RELEASE
FRIDAY 1ST MARCH, 2024

*Kwara PDP Condemns Attempt by Abdulrahman-led Govt to drag Traditional Institutions in to Partisan Politics*

*...Calls on Kwara Northerners to demand Dividends of Democracy from AA instead of allowing him play on their intelligence*

The Kwara State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has vehemently condemned the recent attempt by the Abdulrahman-led government and his All Progressives Congress (APC) to drag traditional institutions in the state, particularly royal fathers from the Northern part of Kwara, into petty partisan politics and rejected Abdulrahman attempts to use them as agents of his mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

"Our Party's attention has been drawn to an emergency townhall meetings notification allegedly being sent secretly from Kwara Government House using the guise of Kwara North Traditional Rulers to all political actors from Kwara North, asking them to assemble at Patigi LG on 2nd of March to discuss issue of 2027 governorhip agenda."

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Friday and signed by the Party's State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments), the Party emphasized that traditional institutions, as custodians of the culture and traditions of the people, should remain completely insolated from partisan politics to maintain their dignity, honour, and ability to act as fathers to all.

The PDP condemned the gross abuse and disrespect of traditional institutions by the APC-led government in the state and warned of the dire consequences such actions may have on grassroots security, and the exposure of the cultural heritage of the people to political controversies and insults.

"We hereby call on our father and the Emir of Ilorin, HRH, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari who is the chairman, Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs in the state to prevail on other royal fathers in ensuring the dignity and value of traditional rulers and protect their stools against infiltration by politicians with selfish agendas ahead of 2027.

It is disheartening that the meeting, which were said to have been convened at the instance of Kwara North Traditional rulers, deliberately exempted many critical Kwara North stakeholders who are non-APC members including the PDP's gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi, a Kwara north Traditional title holder and others due to their political inclination. This action alone explains the devilish partisan agenda of the meeting and the character of those who orchestrated it.

The Kwara PDP also noted how some Pro-APC Kwara North Traditional rulers were coerced in the last elections, using the instrument of government to frustrate PDP campaigns and community consultation and how the government forced them to reject their own son whom our Party fielded as gubernatorial candidate at the poll.

"Our Party therefore appeals to the Traditional rulers in Kwara North to reject any clandestine attempts by the Abdulrahman-led government to play divisive politics that could alienate prominent Kwara Northerners and create rifts among stakeholders of the region in the name of 2027 elections.

"We urge Kwara Northerners to reject attempts by the APC-led administration, which has neglected meaningful developmental projects in the region since 2019, to manipulate them against each other with false promises of zoning the gubernatorial ticket to the region while plundering the state's resources into unproductive ventures.

"We call on daughters and sons of Kwara North to unite with their leaders and traditional institutions to demand dividends of democracy from the Abdulrahman-led government instead of starting to use politics of 2027 to distract their attentions from the major needs of their people which is the economic and infrastructural face-lift of the region .

"The PDP assures the people of Kwara North of continued partnership and support to ensure capital projects such as Ilesha Chikanda Road, Kwara state University, Shonga farm etc, which are all initiatives of the PDP are continued in the region if the people of Kwara north can look beyond propaganda and join hands with our Party that have the right policy and programmes capable of lifting the region to a cosmopolitan area."

Politics / Kwara: Prince Ademola Adegbite Commissions Water Project In 3 Shao Communities by Kelf2016(m): 9:50am On Feb 26
*PDP’s Assembly candidate, Prince Adegbite commissions water Restoration system in three shao communities*

*... Says collapse of Dam created a huge water scarcity in Saho*

In a bid to alleviate the persistent water scarcity plaguing communities in Shao Kingdom, Prince Ademola Adegbite, son of the late Ohoro of Shao land and the House of Assembly candidate of PDP for the 2023 elections, spearheaded the official commissioning of a rehabilitated water system in three Shao communities.

The dire water situation arose following the collapse of Shao Dam, creating water shortage and scarcity in several communities around Shao Kingdom.

Responding to this urgent need, Prince Ademola Adegbite , through his foundation, the PAAF Foundation, took on the responsibility of rehabilitating and reviving the water system to serve Oke-Laade community, Iyasuru, and Opeyemi, all under the Shao District and long grappling with water scarcity.

The project, which commenced on the 7th of February, was completed within two weeks and officially commissioned yesterday by the PDP's chairman in Moro Local Government, Alh Abdulganiy Musa Safaru in the presence of party loyalists and members of PAAF Foundation

Politics / Kwarahotel:pdp Demands List Of Auctioned Items, amount Generated From AA Gov't by Kelf2016(m): 12:02am On Jan 22
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has called on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, in the spirit of transparency and accountability, to provide public explanations on the amount generated from the recent controversial auctioning of Kwara Hotel properties by his government.

The Party reminded Kwarans that properties of the hotels were looted by some state-sponsored agents in late November last year but the government absolved the looters and took responsibility, calling the ugly process an auctioning of unused items which was authorized.

In a statement issued on Monday by the PDP State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments), said that even though the auctioning process was shrouded in secrecy and failed due diligence test, the people of Kwara deserve to know the amount generated from sales of their hotel's properties and where the money is been kept before any work can begin on the facility.

"Our Party is concerned that since December 7th, 2023, when the controversial auctioning was completed, the government has yet to brief the people of Kwara, on whose behalf it auctioned those items, any information about the income generated from the process, where the money is kept, and other technical information associated with the auctioning. We therefore sternly demand that the Abdulrazaq-led Kwara State government provide a detailed account of the income generated from the acclaimed auctioning and where the fund was kept."

Furthermore, the government was urged to furnish the public with comprehensive information on the list of items auctioned, including the unit price attached to each, along with details of the four registered auctioneers the government claimed to have engaged to undertake the auctioning. As a party, we maintain that a responsible government ought to brief the public after such an operation without having to wait for citizens to raise their voices.

*ON N17.8BN PLANNED RENOVATION OF KWARA HOTEL*

Before the latest revelations by ENETSUD, our Party had reiterated our disapproval of spending such humongous Taxpayer’s money on the renovation of Kwara Hotel when the state is facing a serious infrastructural deficit and people's living conditions are on the decline. We have also called for a halt of further action until the government clarifies its position on whether the fund is meant for renovation of the hotel or whether a new hotel will be coming under construction.

"Our party appreciates the efforts of Civil Society Organizations in the state, particularly ENETSUD, for their invaluable research, which uncovered questionable dealings in the award of a hotel valued at N5bn to a company allegedly fronting for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq at an exorbitant sum of N17.8bn.

"This revelation has reinforced the PDP's stance that the Governor may have ulterior motives in the Kwara Hotel renovation, contrary to the interests of the people.

"We use this medium to strongly warn the management of Craneburg Construction Company to be prepared to account for every kobo it collected without due diligence when a new administration takes charge. We advise the company to consider its reputation and refuse any attempt by Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to soil their hands in any shady act for Kwara is the wrong place to perpetrate such act.

Politics / Where Are The Trailers Of Rice Allocated To Kwara?-pdp Queries Kwara Legislators by Kelf2016(m): 3:00am On Jan 07
PRESS RELEASE
SUNDAY JANUARY 7th, 2024

PDP DEMANDS EXPLANATIONS FROM LEGISLATORS OVER DIVERSION OF FG RICE INTERVENTION IN KWARA

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has condemned in strong terms, the unfortunate alleged diversion and sale of trailers load of federal government rice intervention intended for distribution to the people of various constituencies in Kwara State by the nine members of the 10th National Assembly

In a statement released on Sunday by the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Kwara, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments), the Party highlighted a viral video featuring one Honourable Dekeri Anamero, House of Representative member representing Etsako Federal constituency of Edo State, where he claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu provided each National Assembly member with at least two trailers of rice for distribution in their various constituencies.

The PDP in reaction to the said video queried all the National assembly members from Kwara, calling them to speak up on the whereabouts of the people's rice in their domains, noting that it would be a shock of the century if the insinuation that all of them secretly sold the rice to commercial dealers in Abuja thinking nobody will be aware at home.

The concerned legislators who are all APC members include Senator Salihu Mustapha of Kwara Central, Oyelola Ashiru of Kwara South, and Senator Suleiman Sadiq Umar of Kwara North. Also, members of the lower chamber include Raheem Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, Ismail Kayode Tijani, Ahmed Yinka Aluko, Tolani Shagaya, Adam Ahmed Saba, and Mohammed Omar Bio respectively.

The PDP in Kwara State, having patiently awaited responses from these implicated APC legislators, noted with concern their continued silence which is no longer golden. Their unfortunate silence raises suspicions of compromise, suggesting that the allocated rice intended for the people of Kwara may have been diverted and sold to commercial rice dealers in Abuja for their personal gain.

Based on the video made by Honorable Dekeri, each legislator is said to have received a minimum of 2,400 bags of rice. Given the current market price of N54,000 per 50kg bag, this implies that each Kwara legislator may have secretly pocketed one hundred and thirty million naira (#130,000,000) while the nine of them have pocketed about N1.2bn. Should this allegation turn out to be==# true, it will be an unfortunate betrayal of public trust.

Amidst the hardships the people are made to experience under APC governance, it is disheartening that items intended to alleviate such challenges are allegedly converted to monetary gains by those entrusted with the people's mandate.

The Kwara PDP called for immediate explanations from the implicated APC legislators and demanded transparency in accounting for the federal government's rice intervention. The Party remains committed to upholding the principles of accountability, integrity, and service to the people.

Politics / Votebuying:investigate Oshiomole Over Self Confession- Kwara PDP To EFCC by Kelf2016(m): 12:55pm On Dec 21, 2023
Oshiomole Symbolises Shame Of Democracy, A Disgrace To Comradeship - Kwara PDP

... Asks EFCC to arrest him for voluntary confession of vote buying

The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep concern and condemnation over the recent admission by former APC National Chairman, Comrade Adam Oshiomole, regarding the deployment of substantial funds to influence the 2019 elections in Kwara State.

Comrade Adam Oshiomole, an erstwhile National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and now a Senator representing Edo North at the National Assembly, Abuja, was quoted recently at a book launch to have said the APC under his leadership used money to dislodge Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his Party, the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara during the 2019 general elections boasting this was his greatest achievement as National Chairman of the APC.

The Kwara PDP in a swift reaction through its State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments) while calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately summon Oshiomole, also described the former APC Chairman as a symbol of shame to Nation's growing democracy and a disgrace to Comradeship, noting that all these anti-democratic tendencies necessitated his humiliation out of office as APC Chairman.

"Our attention was drawn to a reckless anti-democratic statement credited to the disgraced former APC National Chairman, Mr. Adam Oshiomole, where he proudly declared that the APC, under his leadership, committed more than N1.2 billion to secure victory over Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the PDP in Kwara in 2019 general elections.

"As a Party, we feel such a revelation is not only affirming our position that there were no elections in Kwara in 2019 but a political coup targeted at Bukola Saraki using the federal powers and all state apparatuses to hound and intimidate Kwarans and imposed the current accidental leadership on the state in a coup detat style. We are vindicated by Oshiomole's public admittance that the 2019 elections in Kwara were rigged to dislodge Saraki.

"However, we want to assert that Oshiomole's public confession of indulging in vote-buying politics constitutes a serious breach of Nigerian law. It is disheartening that Mr. Adam Oshiomole, who currently holds a position as a Nigerian lawmaker, has unequivocally crossed the red line by attacking the political decorum expected of a responsible legislator. As a lawmaker, Oshiomole is duty-bound to uphold the values of democracy, champion the cause of justice, and represent the interests of the people. Regrettably, a figure entrusted with the responsibility of making laws for the nation has openly celebrated the subversion of the democratic processes through the undue influence of money.

"It is essential to emphasize that vote buying is a punishable offense under Nigerian law. We, therefore, urge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to promptly initiate an investigation into this voluntary admission by Oshiomole, as it aligns with the legal definition of a punishable offense for which young boys and girls who were caught with just N50,000 at various polling booths were made to languish in various prisons while a national vote buyer who has openly confessed is being rewarded with a member of a hallowed chamber.

We also call on relevant parliamentary bodies to investigate Oshiomole's conduct and hold him accountable for his actions, as he has not only undermined the credibility of the legislative institution but also eroded public trust in the democratic system. This egregious display by Oshiomole further underscores the need for comprehensive electoral reforms and the strengthening of institutions that safeguard the integrity of our democracy.

"It is truly disheartening to witness a national lawmaker like Oshiomole, who should serve as a role model for upholding democratic values, engage in actions that are not only morally wrong but undermine the very foundation of our political system. Oshiomole's arrogant and ridiculous utterances, confessing to the use of money to win elections, epitomize the deplorable state of our democracy today."

Politics / How Can You Use N17.8billion To Renovate Kwara Hotel?-pdp Asks Gov Abdulrahman by Kelf2016(m): 9:38pm On Dec 16, 2023
PDP DEMANDS IMMEDIATE HALT OF N17.8 BILLION KWARA HOTEL RENOVATION

....Insists N17bn Kept In Secret Bank By Abdulrazaq Must Be Accounted For

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emphatically demanded an immediate stoppage of the proposed N17.8 billion expenditure earmarked for the renovation of Kwara Hotel by Abdulrazaq's led APC government, describing it as insensitive and misplaced priority.

The PDP in a statement signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments) said in the face of economic challenges confronting our citizens, such an exorbitant spending plan requires detailed clarification. It is also important for Abdulrahman to tell Kwarans whether the intention is to demolish the existing structure and rebuild the new hotel since the government has remained inconsistent in its dealing of this hotel .

To us in PDP, there are so much inconsistent in the government's statements over Renovation/ rehabilitation of Kwara Hotel. When they closed the hotel last year due to poor management, they told Kwarans that the government would like to go for a Public Private partnership , they even employed a company belonging to top APC member to manage the hotel. Again, the government is allocating N17.8billion of tax payers money for the renovation of the same hotel while deceiving kwarans it is planning to rebuild it

We question whether the government intends to demolish and reconstruct new hotel or it is the existing structure that will be gulping N17.8bn for renovation or if undisclosed factors are driving them to project N17.8bn for only Kwara hotel when the state is still lacking in infrastructural and social amenities capable of attracting investors to the state. The people of Kwara deserve transparency and accountability in governance, especially when confronted with such monumental financial decisions by those elected to hold trust for them."

"We maintain that the earlier shutting down of the Hotel, which was handed over by the PDP's administration to Abdulrahman's government in good operational condition, underscores the current government tendency to ruin Kwara state legacy and reverse all progress reocrded before 2019."

"Our Party also vehemently condemns the illegal auctioning of Kwara Hotel properties by the Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led Kwara State Government. This action, undertaken without adhering to due process, is a blatant disregard for transparency and governance norms. What is being labeled by APC APC-led government as an auction appeared to be more of a sponsored looting spree, as the government sidesteps established procedures, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the process and the responsible use of public resources."

"Furthermore, we insist on accountability for the N17 billion kept in a secret bank account for over three years by the Governor, this fund is very important to Kwarans and our Party will resist all attempts to make Kwara forget and turn it into a retirement package for the governor. The lack of transparency surrounding these funds is deeply troubling, and the government must provide a comprehensive and detailed account of how this money has been fairing, the name of the bank it was kept, and how much had accrued over it."

"At a time when citizens are grappling with economic hardships, the government must prioritize the welfare of the people and embark on projects that can directly improve their standards of living. We urge Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to reconsider his stance on the Kwara Hotel and explain to citizens what he plans to do, whether he is demolishing the existing structure to erect a new one or whether it is just a renovation of the existing structure that will gulp N17.8bn."

The PDP remains resolute in its commitment to safeguarding the interests of the Kwara people and ensuring that public funds are utilized responsibly by those who hold trust as public officers.

Politics / PDP Condemns Kwara Governor For Abrupt Stoppage Of Workers' Palliatives by Kelf2016(m): 12:50am On Dec 11, 2023
DECEMBER 10th, 2023.

PRESS RELEASE

PDP Condemns Kwara Governor for Abrupt Stoppage of Workers' Palliatives,

...Insists Governor Abdulrahman inherited over N10bn in 2019

The Kwara state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has criticised Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq over his failure to pay workers their meagre ten thousand naira transport palliatives as he earlier promised to do the first week of December, which translated to the abrupt termination of the palliatives, describing the APC led administration as lacking in integrity.

The PDP in a statement by the state Publicity Secretary, Sholyment Olusegun Olusola (Sholyments), described such an act as gross insensitivity to the plight of the workers who have been overstretched by the current economic crisis occasioned by the maladministration of the APC-led Federal and State governments.

The Party urged Kwarans never to trust Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who had on multiple occasions deceived and pretended to care for the "Mekunu" but ended up inflicting more injuries and pains on the same "Mekunu" with his suffocating tax policies which in return are being used to services Governor's appetite for greed and frivolity.

The Party added that it was a sheer lack of integrity to deceive the people of Kwara, particularly the suffering workers who first raised the alarm of this palliative stoppage with a mouth-watering press release by the Governor who assured workers that aside from the palliatives, other nonfinancial benefits would be available for workers within the first week of December. The Party reminds the government that the first week of December had terminated since Friday, the 8th Day of December and no worker has received any palliative let alone other benefit yet. This is an attestation that Governor Abdulrahman, who could not honour his word lacks the basic integrity required of any reasonable leader.

The PDP said the governor had been playing games with the intelligence of the Kwara people since the assumption of office in his programme implementation policy.

“We knew from the onset that Governor Abdulrahman and his party have no programme that could lift Kwara people out of poverty, let alone any programme that could motivate and engineer our workers to do better.

This is the Governor who deceived the workers and the general public that he would increase workers' salaries and ensure Kwara state civil servants earn more than surrounding states like Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Kogi, etc during their Otoge crusade in 2019, after assuming office, the Governor has always claimed he carries workers along in the issues relating to the state finances and run his government on "MEKUNU", (poor man) agenda yet, he has not been able to implement a full minimum wage for Kwara workers up till date despite fat undisclosed monthly allocations coming to the state since 2019.

Kwarans would also not forget that more than N10bn of naira was left in the coffer and handed over to Abdulrahman in May 2019 by the PDP, this was confirmed by EFCC zonal director who announced to the world that the agency prevented Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed Government from using N10bn that arrived the state at the twilight of the handing over.

This N10bn which was a proceed of FAAC and Tax refund from FG was targeted at offsetting LG, pensioners salary arrears, and other obligations but was illegally frozen and handed over to Abdulrahman. How the N10bn vanished from the coffer without settling salaries arrears and gratuities remains inexplicable by the AA government.

"Our Party can only sympathise with Kwara workers, pensioners, market women, and school children who are now paying huge taxes and urge them to keep praying for divine intervention to deliver them from Abdulrahman's heavy yoke,”

The party urges Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to disclose the total allocation received from January 2023 and how many grants are coming to the state to know why workers' Palliative which is expected to be upgraded will be stopped abruptly.

VP Kashim Shettima Declines Gov Abdulrahman's request to visit Tanke Bridge

The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, yesterday, December 9, 2023, turned down the request by his host, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to pay a presidential visit to the controversial Tanke Bridge in Ilorin. The reason behind the VP's declination is still sketchy but sources close to the former Borno Governor said it was not unconnected to the series of controversies that have trailed the Bridge.

Report has it that the VP was earlier billed to pass his night in Kwara and pay official visit to the Tanke Bridge but Shettima quickly cancelled his schedule in anger and jet out of Kwara at the later hour of yesterday.

Those who confided in this medium claimed the Vice President recieved intelligence report against visiting the poorly constructed brigde and avoided it so as not to put his name in the mud.

A Chinese firm recently engaged by the Kwara state government to correct the structural errors on the controversial Tanke Flyover has advised the government under Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to bring down the entire structure and start the construction afresh.

The advice, according to an internal memo addressed to the supervising Commissioner for Works is to avoid future calamity which may be devastating when the road is opened for public use without due diligence.

The Chinese firm said it based its conclusion on the preliminary report of the Engineers who recommended a total overhaul of the structure.

The firm said the low quality of materials used in the construction and the gross inexperience of local engineers engaged to handle the project make correction almost impossible.

Politics / University Of Education: Ramoni Lacks Idea Of What Kwara Needs by Kelf2016(m): 6:41am On Nov 02, 2023
....He's being hunted by Saraki ghost, wants to do everything Saraki did

The news of planned Establishment of University of Education by AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is nothing but sheer misplaced priority and it sent shockwaves into the spines of an average kwarans since it broke out.

At the moment, KWASU has faculty of Education, the Dean of the faculty is Professor Titus A. Umoru, who was appointed since 2020. It should be noted that Ramoni govt has not been paying Subvention to KWASU since 2020 despite propaganda that he's improving Education. KWASU and Kwara State Polytechnics have been operating like orphans despite huge allocations and Debt Profile of Kwara state under AA .

Apart from this, Kwara state has Colleges of Education spread in the 3 senatorial districts which are grossly underfunded and their staff are currently owed up to 3 months salaries under Abdulrazaq.

There's also a Faculty of Education in University of Ilorin , a FG sponsored institution. There are uncountable numbers of Privately owned Colleges of Education in the state as well .

We wonder what University of Education that the Govt does not have capacity to fund will do differently in this situation and wether there's surge in numbers of Admission seekers into Colleges of Education that the current facilities both federal, state and privately owned cannot accommodate.

The Rationale behind sudden decision to establish University of Education and the needs at this moment are unclear to kwarans .

We urge Professor Oba Abu to not allow this Governor to drag his remaining integrity into the mud . An School cert holder who accidentally become Governor should nor be allowed to misuse and later dump Professor Oba Abu one more tine to avoid stories that touch

Our one penny advice for Professor Oba is to stay clear of any cunning intention to use him no matter how much is involved , kwarans are aware of huge millions of naira committed to this project and we believe Prof is too blessed to be moved by stipend from AA govt .

Abdulrahman is not moved by any idea , neither does he recognise what Kwara needs at the moment, he is only after meeting up Saraki legacy, a show of inferiority complex and lack of native understanding of the job on his shoulders .

Good morning Kwarans

Politics / Kwara:your Film Village Is A Glorified Food Canteen - Group Taunts Governor AA by Kelf2016(m): 8:48pm On Oct 06, 2023
.....Says displaying such as an achievement of almost 5years in office portrays Governor as an unseruous character

The Kwara Progress Volunteers (KPV) has berated mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq for his recent state visit to the graceless site of the Sugar film Factory where he was pictured inspecting sections of rooms contained in the building. The group said it was embarrassed by the states visit of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and his handlers unintelligent display of want looks like a glorified food canteen as project of his five years in office .

The group in a statement by its Direcror of Research ,policy and Project , Barrister Hassan Abideen Gobir said the Governor presented himself as an unseruos character by allowing his photo to be paraded around such petty project after about five years in office.

As a group, we are very much concerned about the development of our dear State, Kwara, and ready to partner with those who are sincerely ready to move her forward as well as ready to expose those who might be doing disservice to her development.

In all what one does, sincerity of purpose is very key. Insincerity has always been method this present APC Government led by Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, had adopted in most, if not all, of its dealings.

We observed an impromptu visit by Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to a glorified food canteen he called Sugar Film Village and how scanty and inappropriate everything was from the scenes taken and made available to the public. As a group , our members expected Mr Governor to move round the available sections and show Kwarans, whose taxes are tied to this project galleries of modern equipments and gadgets installed that made that place worth visiting by a chief executive of the state . This would have made the Governor's visit meaningfu and attract commendation.

But alas, what we could see are mere set of blue and black couches which are arranged in form of perppersoup joint or a traditional food canteen especially with inferior wallpapers used in the walls

Perhaps , Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sees kwarans as lamebrains who are too lazy in deep thinking. His failure to showcase any tangible equipments already procured rendered his visit as a mere 'fashion parade' to advertise the Governor's failure

From its inception up to this stage, Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration is yet to tell Kwarans, whose future is tied to this project, how much is going to be or have been expended on this project. This is, unfortunately, common to this present administration. The unnecessary high level of secrecy around channelisation of Kwara fund should be a concern to every well meaning Kwaran.

On this note, we want to call on Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to show more seriousness in in all his administration's dealings. Kwarans deserves transparency has done by his predecessors.

And on this particular project, our group demand from Abdulrazaq's administration to let kwarans know how much has been expended and how much js budgeted for as well as more details on how it's going to be of benefit to kwarans.

Bar. Hassan Abideen Gobir

Rise up to your primary Responsibility, Adewole man, Aromaradu fires Governor AA*

Security of lives and property is the most important and paramount responsibility of any government as it expressly and clearly stated in Section 14(b) of 1999 Constitution as amended that protection of Life and property is primary responsibility of Government.

The high sense of insecurity has become a normal thing in the State as the case of killings, maimings, kidnappings have become a daily report which has called for concern. Therefore, an urgent attention of the state government should be unfold with sense of Alacrity.

What explanation Governor would give to the citizens of his state when we, Citizens don't feel secured even on our own bedrooms.

Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq should wake up from his slumber and take a proactive step to curb the menace of kidnapping, armed robbery and cultists clashes that have taken over every senatorial district of the state.

It would be more heartbreaking to add insecurity to the existing flooding, hunger, anger, high cost of living and decaying Health system in the state.

The insecurity in the State is very pervasive and ravaging the Kwara state but our Gomina chose the foreign trips when he sees as an avenue to be dishing out wrong figures against the yesterday's government in the state in both Education and Health sectors

His Excellency is expected to be here in State to proffer a lasting solution to problem of insecurity, hunger n anger in the state.

Holding meetings with government security outfits without prompt actions and meaningful supports isn't enough. Some villages, Communities in Asa, Isin, Ifelodun, Moro, Baruten, Ilorin and South Local Governments have become den of kidnappings which to a large extent is affecting the Economic well-being and Security of our people.

I know and admit that it takes a creative mind to think out of the box but we wouldn't stop offering our position as opposition in the State.

Multiple Cracks on Yet-to-be completed Tanke Flyover create panic among Kwarans

Cracks and disintegration observed on Tanke Flyover, which the Kwara state government claimed would be commissioned since last year but still yet to be completed have caused serious controversy among Kwarans and residents of Ilorin

The highly inflated project was awarded to an unknown contractor who's believed to be using petty bricklayers in the construction exercise ,creating fear in the minds of road users of possible collapse of the Flyover in no distant time. Many kwarans and road users have raised several dust around the quality of the work done but government kept assuring otherwise.

In a bid to cover up the poorly executed job , the Kwara government quickly recruited painters to apply paint and work of art to make the Bridge more appealing to people's sight

The cracks and distingeration currently observed which photo was taken by concerned kwarans is already establishing people's fear that Tanke Flyover may be another tine bomb for road users if standard engineering practice is not quickly employed to correct many anomalies before the bridge is opened for usage .

Some of the motorists who spoke on condition of anonymity to this medium said the government is endangering people's lives by the way it carried out such project. Some lamented that they will not be using the road unless there's assurance of professional bodies like COREN that the bridge is safe for heavy traffics that will be using it on daily basis .

Politics / I'm Excited With Innovation Coming From Saraki Legacy - Says Gov. Abdulrahaman by Kelf2016(m): 8:36am On Aug 25, 2023
Governor of Kwara State , Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, has openly applauded one of good works he inherited from the government of Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, (CON), his predecessor and political rival from whom he takes over government about five years ago

The Governor, known for his blind criticism of the Saraki's era in the state, made a shocking U-turn yesterday when a team of Engineers from the Kwara State University (KWASU),Malete, , paid him a courtesy visit to unveil a gasoline vehicle which they successfully converted into electric in a bid to create an alternative energy source to fossil fuel .

Kwara state University was established in 2009 under the administration of Bukola Saraki with the goal of providing high-quality education and research for Kwarans and Nigerians. The university had since produced more than ten thousand graduates with more than fifty departments to her credit .

The governor, during the visit, inspected the electric vehicle ,affirmed its perfect working status, and commended University leadership for making Kwara state join the race to the top.

Mallam Abdulrahaman, while showcasing his admiration of the project also praised the timing that it is being invented, noting that such is a clear indication that our country is steadily joining global community to cut down over reliance on fossil fuel and embracing a cleaner source of energy .

Pressing further , the governor praised the team of engineers, led by Mr AbdulAzeez Akande, the Head of Technical Unit, Centre for Sustainable Energy and Chief Technologist at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kwara state University.

While commending the acting Vice chancellor for leading the team to government house , the governor also directed that some government vehicles be converted to use electricity for onward use by students.

The governor in a post from his verified Facebook page reads in part : "I'm excited to inspect an electric vehicle that a team of engineers in Kwara State had successfully converted from gasoline engine by a team of great engineers from the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete. The vehicle works perfectly with different accessories. "

"This is innovation at its finest, and a clear indication that we are fast turning the corners as our country steadily joins the world to reduce over reliance on fossil fuel and adopt cleaner energy."

Politics / Bank Declined Kwara Governor Request To Transfern500m From World Bank Fund by Kelf2016(m): 5:29am On Feb 10, 2023
Breaking:
Bank Declined Gov. Abdulrahaman request to secretly transfer N500m from World Bank's immunisation fund to private account

A new generation bank sitting in Ilorin , the Kwara state capital has reportedly rejected a transfer request of N500million allegedly submitted by some aides of Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq for failing due diligence policy

The transfer request , according to top banking official who does not want her name mentioned , is expected to be withdrawn from the N887.8million world bank's fund credited to the state recently to fund immunization project .

The banking official said they turned down the request because the transfer request form, which was hurriedly filled in favour of a private account holder , whom they claimed is a health consultant to government does pass integrity test to receive such slush fund .

She explained further that ,apart from the fact that the signature on the transfer form was considered not regular , the beneficiary account was recently opened in Abuja as a corporate account with a foreign lady as sole signatory .

She said although, the bank regional manager had received several calls from the Governor, giving approval to the withdrawal, but the operation head of the bank declined to minute to the transaction, for failing due diligence test of the bank

Asked to name the foreign lady in the conversation, she said it's against the banking principle to reveal identity of their customers

In January this year, the world Bank announced that Kwara state government had received the sum of N887m under the Immunisation Plus and Malaria Progress by Accelerating Coverage and Transforming Services project.

The fund support which came through the World Bank assisted- IMPACT project was targeted at financing infrastructure upgrade of at least one Primary Health Care Centre in each of the 193 wards in Kwara State

The Abdulrazaq administration is notorious for being reckless with states fund. The opposition in the state have accused Abdulrazaq of inability to account for almost N500bn which his government has accessed within three years in office with close to N60bn loan and bond borrowed on behalf of the state .

A civil society organization in the state , ENETSUD had in several occasions indicted the Ramoni-led administration of financial missaproriation through contract inflation and others .

The organisation also indicted the Government of shaddy dealings in N138million Naira which was paid to a contractor without due process for 38 units of transformer .

Up till today, the Abdulrazaq administration has been unable to account for Kwarans how the contractor , a government crony could run away with N138million transformer fund with nobody holding him accountable .

*NG-CARES Fund: Abdulrazaq's Government Has Squandered Kwara Youths' Future - KYAD*

Concerned youths in Kwara State under the aegis of Kwara Youth Alliance for Development (KYAD) has accused the Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq-led government of siphoning over 20 million dollars NG-CARES fund targeted at empowering more than three thousand small and medium scale business owners in the state.

The group added that the Kwara State Government diverted the NG-CARES Fund while deceiving kwarans with petty twenty thousand Naira distribution when the actual amount designed by the federal government was N3.2million Naira for each beneficiary.

The Federal Government of Nigeria, on behalf of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, requested and received assistance from the World Bank in the amount of USD 750 million for on-lending to the States and FCT in order to implement a two-year emergency response programme known as NG-CARES.

Olaoye Oluwatimileyin A, president and convener of KYAD made this known in Ilorin, the state capital on Sunday, January 15.

He accused Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq of squandering the future of youths in the state with the mismanagement of the NG-CARES fund targeted at lifting young entrepreneurs out of poverty.

The statement partly reads:

"We are appalled by the recent revelation by a section of the Senate Committees where it clearly stated by the chairman that state governments in Nigeria have shortchanged Nigerian youths with the fraudulent diversion of the NG-Care fund.

According to the viral video which our organisation have studied keenly, it was revealed how some state governors, Kwara inclusive, diverted this fund and replaced with petty cash gifts to citizenry.

"Under the NG-CARES scheme, each state is allocated $20 million with thousands of small businesses (3,000 to 5,000) were designed to get #3.5 Million Naira each. These small businesses and their names would be supplied by state coordinator of NG-CARES, and the Federal Government would capture their data including bank details.

"It is, however, unfortunate that Kwara state governments politicised this lofty scheme which is capable of taking 5,000 youths out of poverty.

"KYAD watches with disdain as Governor AbdulRahman turned a poverty alleviation programme from which 3000 to 5000 young entrepreneurs were to be given #3.2M each as grant to build their businesses to the one they were given peanuts of #20,000, #15,000, #30,000 each.

"What can these stipend do in this economy engulfed in inflations and instabilities the APC government plunged it? How many of those 20k beneficiaries can come out today to say their lives have been impacted?

"The state government simply hijacked this programme which was designed to bring life changing developments to the lives of the people. Is this not a way of institutionalising poverty in the state?

"Kwarans have not smell the good scent of FG's NG-CARES, instead Abdulrahman and his cohorts are rolling out #20,000, #30,000, etc calling it empowerment for artisans just for the purpose of elections.

"As citizens and concerned youths, we ask for accountability. We ask for whereabouts of Kwara's share of 20 million dollars NG-CARES fund . Just like tranformer money and the 17billon stashed in unknown bank accounts, Kwarans are asking Government of Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq to explain how this fund disappeared into thin air without any explanation.

"The lives of our youngsters were dependent on this grant from the Federal Government to resuscitate their businesses. This grant was meant to keep their hopes alive in the betterment of this country. This will sadly not come to be in Kwara State under the inept government of Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq as he converted the future of the youths and self-employed Kwarans to personal pockets of his stooges.

"Governor AbdulRahman and his agents can quote and unquote numbers and give non-existing statistics while Kwarans languish in poverty. The government agents keep giving facades to the public and the world just for political ratings.

"We call on the Federal Government of Nigeria as well as anti-graft agencies, namely Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to see to how Governor Abdulrahaman squandered the fund.

"We heard and saw how other states used the same grant to build their citizenry. What did Kwara target and what was achieved? The good people of Kwara State deserve accountability, transparency and response from the government.

"The Kwara APC has shown itself to be rudderless, confused and lacks anything substantial to give the people. This is no surprise as the APC government was one founded on lies, deceit and media propaganda.

" We urge our people not to be intimidated but rise up and voice out against an attempt to morgaged the future of our teeming youths by the Ramoni led APC government.

...As Police Storm union leader's Residences to effect arrest

In a commando style, officers of Nigerian Police , Kwara state command have allegedly launched serious manhunt for top leaders of Okada Riders who claimed they are in support of the #O Suwa Movement in Kwara .

This is coming few hours after the Union publicly declared their support for movement that will oust the Abdulrahaman government in Kwara .

Recall that this medium earlier reported that hundreds of Okada riders rallied in support of Osuwa, an opposition movement that have gained public acceptability across kwara state ,which have become serious concern for Abdulrahaman led government.

Some of the leaders of the Okada Riders who raised alarm told us that some Police officers have put calls through to them with their houses been raided by unknown police officers who came from undisclosed station to force their arrest .

"Our lives are under threats , as we speak , we are in hidden , the government has sent Police to begin manhunt against all of us who led the last rally to support opposition movement in the state . We don't know it has become a crime for Okada riders to have flair for political movement of our choice in the state" - said one of the union leaders who spoke from hidden .

The harassment of Okada riders union is a new twist in the direct assault and intimidation of Opposition element in the state by the Abdulrazaq's led apc government. The government have been working with Police to intimidate PDP, SDP, NNPP members in a bid to kill local agitation in the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari has over times issued stern warning to security agencies to remain apolitical and play neutral role among political parties in the country.

The Kwara Police Command should not join forces with Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq led government to gag opposition in the state. The role being played by police in this Okada riders matter is tantamount to increasing political crisis and destroy public comfidence reposed on the Police institution .

#ProjectCommissioning: Offa Metro comes to Rescue , Invites Governor Abdulrahaman to Commission her hospital

.....We must save Kwara from this shame, Offa Metro officials

A social club in Offa Town, Offa Metropolitan Club, OMC has come to the rescue of the Abdulrazaq's led administration over her failure to commission project after over three years in office with close to N500bn fund acrued to the state from various sources .

Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq has been widely criticised by majority of kwarans for his inability to transform huge fund coming to his government into any sustainable project for Kwara people. Many also compared his over three inglorious years with that of his counterparts from Imo state , Mr Hope Uzodima , a Governor who came to office 8months after Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq but had invited President Muhammadu Buhari on two different occasions to commission project for Imo state people

In a sharp twist of fate on Saturday , an Offa Indigenous social club, Offa Metropolitan Club (OMC) has invited Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq to Offa Town to commission a N350million ultra-modern hospital built and equipped by the club to rescue her people from the deplorable state of hospital in the state .

"In a statement signed and released by the chairman commissioning committee, Offa Metropolitan Club, Aare (Dr.) Waheed A. Olagunju partly read

“The Offa Metropolitan Club (OMC) hereby announces that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will commission the N350 million ultramodern OMC Medical centre at the General Hospital, Offa".

"The state-of-the-art Medical Centre, the first of its kind in Offa, constructed by OMC is being equipped with specialized medical screening and diagnostic facilities such as a medical laboratory for carrying out various tests, an imaging unit fitted with machines for X-ray and CT scan.

Olagunju said Offa Metropolitan Club is glad to also inform the general public that a dedicated transformer, a standby generator, a solar power system and other numerous gadgets required to facilitate the delivery of world class medical services are provided at the Medical Centre.

The commissioning is expected to take place on 24th December but it is not yet clear wether the Governor will be able to withstand the shame and honor the club's invitation . Some Governors allies said the Governor is also mounting serous pressure on some contractors to deliver one of the projects so he can commission before he attend Offa for the hospital commissioning

The only contribution by the Governor according to sources is the donation of land space inside General hospital, upon which the magnificent edifice was erected .

However, the club , through the chairman , commissioning committee has expressed appreciation to the government , Kabieesi Olofa of Offa and other Offa prominent stakeholders who contributed for the success of the project.

Ajuloopin used our Mandate to Enrich self , built Luxury Mansions ,Sholyments Tackles Lawmaker*

*..Says House of Reps member lacks moral right to Seek reelection*

A social commentator , who is also a member of the PDP youth council in Kwara state, Comrade Olusegun Olusola Adewara popularly called Sholyments has submitted that Honorable Raheem Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, who currently represents Isin/Irepodun/ Isin/Ekiti and Oke ero federal constituency, should not have sought to retain his parliament seat next year having used about two terms in the green Chamber only to enrich himself and his family while leaving the welfare and the needs of his Constituents unattended to.

Talking to journalists in Ilorin on Sunday ,Sholyments accused the lawmaker of insulting sensibilities of already frustrated constituents with his recent assertion that his party, the APC will get a landslide victory in the state when all he could account for after almost six years in office is an extravagant lifestyles and acquisition of multiple luxurious Mansions in Omu-aran and overseas- all at the expense of his suffering constituents .

He also reminded Olawuyi Ajuloopin that he's not yet a candidate for the coming National Assembly elections as the court was yet to affirm his nomination as APC candidate hence , he described the campaign flag off by Ajulo and his party as contempt of court and a naked dance in the market

"He lost the moral ground a few weeks ago, he was seeking to get APC senate nomination and after losing out in the primary election, he took desperate measures and steps to snatch the reps nomination from someone who had already labored and fought to get it, he is very shameless in his political desperation , he did all these to protect where he is getting free money but our people will vote wisely this time around, our mumu don do’ he submitted"

Comrade Sholyments argued that people's mandate entrusted to Ajuloopin six years ago, had yielded nothing except more job losses and unemployment for young people , increased spate of insecurity, banditry and terrorism including kidnapping of our revered royal fathers and abduction of their queens for ransoms .

He accused Ajuloopin of turning Lawmaking job to mere "Fashionista and show-off" while he flies from Abuja to Lagos every weekend in big Agbada to spray money on musicians while the people who entrusted mandate upon him languish in poverty and fear.

‘For a lawmaker, who's been in office for six years and unable to facilitate a single project apart from those facilitated by his late predecessor -- most of which he has now diverted to say he wants to get re-elected means that such a man lacks any sense of moral judgment"

I don’t think Tunji Olwauyi Ajuloopin has the moral justification to come out and tell his Constituents that he is seeking another term in the office. In as much as it is his democratic right, we are talking about moral justification to somebody who needed to take a retrospect, to assess himself if he has performed or not" ?

"It is quite unfortunate that people around him are not courageous enough to tell him the body language of constituents especially Isin people who felt Ajuloopin and his party wanted to rob them of their mandate in broad day light, a matter that is still subject of litigation."

"It's important for Ajuloopin to know that people's mandate entrusted to him is not a NABTEB examination where you fail and then go for a re-sit"

"A Rep who has been in office for six solid years who just remember he needed to organise town hall meetings with constituents just because another elections beckon confirmed how Ajuloopin and his party have taken our people for fools"

"When I read what Ajuloopin highlighted as his key achievements for six years , I could not but shake my head in disappointment , I don't understand why he's taking our people for foolery. How can a reps member listed 5k he gifted a few aged women less than 20 in number as an achievement? A serious- minded secondary school prefect would not have listed such ridiculous gifts as an achievement during end of year party"

"Ajuloopin also talked about sinking boreholes , to worsen the matter , he said some students gained admissions into tertiary institutions through him, he didn't say he paid their tuition fees, isn't this ridiculous to hearings?

"Let me remind Ajuloopin that Dare Bankole and Dr Rafiu Ibrahim ,who are not occupying public office , have sunk more boreholes across different communities without noise, they have facilitated more empowerments for different strata of people, without any mandate entrusted to them ,yet they have traversed nooks and crannies and touched people's lives"

"For Ajuloopin, the mansion he just acquired in Omu-aran and other choices places in Kwara including those he bought overseas for the benefit of himself and his family members are the only capital projects he could boast of, I believe his vision for public office is only to enrich himself and spend extravagantly for Lagos-based musicians just for self –adulation.

"If we are to judge by many properties that Ajuloopin had acquired for himself within the last six years , it's a big catch for him and I wish him long life to enjoy his loots . However , our Constituency no longer needs the service of a selfish leader whose focus in public office is self aggrandizement and personal opulence’ he said
