For those of you that didn't get the confirmation email, is your course of study listed on their page or are u looking for the course that is close to what you studied. Seems like the give priority to coursed listed on the advert.

Take home salary is less than the salary stated on the appointment letter. U pay tax and pension, NHF etc. Tax and pension might remove close to 60k monthly if you are on level 8. I don't know for other level or if it has changed (increased/decreased)

APL salary can mislead someone, it's take home salary that matters.

My rent expired October 26th, was afraid to renew cause of rumors of final list coming out in November and camping in 2nd week of January. Finally list came out, I have been moving from house to another looking for who to accommodate me. You can't compare staying with someone and your house.

Lies, all lies. Over 70% got this job without knowing anyone or connect or back door .the truth is we don't know the criteria for final selection. Been shortlisted for screening should not be confused with employment. I remember in gwagwalada, one senior officer addressed us and he sounded it clear that we have not gotten the job yet. From the that day, I was only praying for my name to come out. I didn't deceive myself thinking I have gotten it because I attended screening. I hoped for 50-50.
What if u failed medical tests, we don't know the tests carried out. For example
Flat foot person cannot be in paramilitary, it's standard procedure for shorlistment in most paramilitary outfit

I talked with someone in Abuja (old customs secretariat) when we came for documentation.
He explained his friend's name did not come out and he new that his name will not come out judging from the look of the nurses at gwagwalada when he did height test. The nurses saw his flat foot and turned their head several times indicating disqualification. When he climbed, the where satisfied with his height and foot. Long story short, his name came out but his friend's name did not appear
I heard this same story again from different sources the next day I came to complete my documentation at the secretariat.

Flat foot is a no-no for paramilitary and military in most cases.

The last recruitment was in 2011 if I'm not mistaken. Requirements may have changed, vests and the rest are important but let the specifics come from NCS.
What matters is that it comes from NCS. Prior experience does not matter becuase some things may have changed. We will all know when the time comes j believe.

I still welcome the idea of people that have been to NCS camp before or similar camps
It gives you a mental picture so you start making arrangements for funds. Money don't fall from heaven. It will shock you that some might be under pressure or may not even report on time because the are looking for finance.

My thoughts though

NCS camp can't be different from other camps nah. I know you must by white short like two, vest, white canvas etc. These are requirements for almost all camp activities in Nigeria.

It means the training will be less than 6 months cause from December to April is not up to six months. Don't think is will be possible. Who knows how long the Muslim fast will last

Of a how many days is next year? Even January is not going to be possible without supplementary because they will be part of 3200. If you think 3200 is not going to the camp check the press release during during merit list release.

Pro didn't mention anything about camping, he only advised people to apply for existing vacancies. The will decide when the want them to. There is no proof we are going to camp with the supplementary recruitment
