This time 2020, and years before, I was glued to this thread and a silent reader for that matter.

The NCS has been the only Federal Government job I applied to that I was shortlisted for. I was asked to go and write my apptitude test in Abeokuta my state of Origin Capital.

On getting to this unfortunate centre on Abiola road, the director in charge of my centre was bent on seeing applicants' valid ID they used during the job registration. I actually used my Voter's card as the only means of ID card I had then but have lost the physical Voters card. Despite other Officer at the entrance countenance that they felt I should at least enter the hall to write the exam since my name was on their Master's list, the director didn't agree.

I was very devastated and waited and waited maybe the director will have compassion on us( we were about 5 with that issue). This was how applicants of later time table met us there and even wrote their own exam and left. I resigned to fate and took the next available bus to Lagos. I had wasted time and efforts after all. I couldn't even tell my people at home they didn't allow me to write the exam.

I was still reading this thread afterwards and was kinda optimistic I could get called for interview or something. I don't know how that would ever happen ooo... Meanwhile, Al I needed was a job of that mangnitude that could sort my mess up.

I started business somehow in that same 2020 out of frustration and today give glory to God that I've seen his goodness in less than two years in business ad would never want the NCS job .

I just thought of sharing this. If you think of trying a new thing, please do and leave this their rubbish recruitment process that takes forever. You never can say what that new venture could do in your life.

To that disciplinarian that didn't allow me to write the exam that day, I hope God will have mercy on your children too and have mercy on you too....

Sorry for what happened. Yes the director was strict but he was following instructions. Any body can claim the name; impersonation is experienced frequently in exams. Also, may be the job is not for you but for those who finally made it to the screening stage.
Anyway good luck with your business. I have a business am running but I need this job,there are plenty reasons

After today's Friday, My watch on Daily trust every morning will come to an end , I now enjoy reading newspapers everyday because of NCS

Low-key, I dey pray make the list wait till my wife give birth. We were married March 2019, when the recruitment process started in April 2019, we thought it will last for only three months. She applied for it. When we were tired of waiting, we were about to do the needful, alas, text came in for Examination late December 2020. We paused again, hoping that this time around, the process will be faster not until March 2021 when she was called for screening.


The long story short, family members started to apply pressure. We have been married for two years no pregnancy. They thought something is wrong with wifey, they did not know that it is Custom job we were waiting for. When we could not wait any longer, Belle show face in May 2021.

Our lives and that of many others were on hold because of Customs.

New info reaching me by a senior officer of NCS says that nearly everyone who participated in the physical screening made the final list. He is someone I trust in terms of providing a genuine info. He said, "unless the person fails the health tests done" No other criteria would be taken as a reason for not making the final list except on health grounds.

He has no idea when list comes out but he said soon. How soon I have no idea. But recruitment have been concluded in terms of selection.

Why nah, God give us a genuine officer who knows when the final list will be out

If this info is 100%, ask him to confirm that of final list, it means that his source get better connect. For someone to know about APL, sure he knows something about final list.

What God cannot do does not exist

NCS final list is like day of rapture, no one can predict the day and time it will happen but we know it will happen.
The same approach that applies to our daily living is applicable here, every day is packed with expectations.
Very soon we will be testify in our different places of worship.

All these discussions makes sense but not as important as that list, have so many things to put in place but my hands are tied until the final list and training resumption is clearly stated and am sure am not the only one
