It's not THAT difficult if u put ur mind to it. My dad is an example, and he smoked for over 50 years even. Good luck to u quitting though, if u really want to though.

Plat, u r blessed o!! Give me small nausad

Why didn't God just create us equally?? lol

Nah I haven't but I've had Muslim school mates preach to me out of nowhere.
I know. . . Christians seem to take it too far sometimes.
My cousin got beaten up one time cos of this lol. Taught him a lesson.

but is that normal? can there be spiritual undertones?

the lies he told me are synonymous to tsunami, yet i forgive him and even loved him more

i will stop crying. am already feeling better. but its tough. i really thought we had a great relationship that will weather even the worst of storms.
Nah, nothing spiritual bout it. Personally, I believe everything happens for a reason.

In this ur case, for example, God prolly used ur ex to get u to the UK so u can find the man ur destined to be with. I'm just saying!

He's a liar? Ahhh! That's not a good thing o. . . how/why did u put up with his lies?  undecided undecided

Sounds to me like u did have a good relationship. These things do happen my dear.

Take heart my dear. God will see u through.

This is deffo break up season. . . . some people have got the disease, big time [They're the relationship version of Judas]!!!
As in, for no good reason there's break ups here and there. The thing is begining to annoy me sef.  grin grin grin
RomanceRe: I Am Going To Have A Nervous Breakdown by kellorah: 11:20pm On Oct 26, 2009
Why are some of us focusing on what she may or may not have said to him??
At the end of the day, guys too say things that ladies don't like to hear.

What I'm trying to say is, people do change JUST LIKE THAT, without the gf/bf doing or saying anything.

You can be the best bf/gf in the world, and even have the best relationship ever, but one day one of u will start having silly feelings, feelings u may not be able to control. These things happen. . . and when they do, both parties will have to find a way of moving on, unless they are patient and will rather wait for the other person to wake up!! But please, don't waste ur tears. Save it for when ur praying to God.

I'm sure he had back-up in case of power failure. All guys do, even the good ones.
I disagree.

He doesn't have to have had a back-up plan before ditching her.

Esp, if he's a good guy.

NOT ALL GUYS DO.

David David. . . .hmm!!

Depends on what exactly it is she said (which of course she prefers not to tell us).

"Rude" is a character flaw no one will tolerate from a woman. I wonder why the guy is suddenly regarded as "horrible" now for refusing to stomach nonsense in the name of "love". Abegi.
He's a horrible person for choosing this method of dealing with the problem.

Why's he saying he will call when he knows he doesn't/wont?
Why can't he just tell her it's over, if he can't stomach her rudeness?

And why do u feel this is a good method of dealing with the problem? undecided undecided undecided

that is what people back home in nigeria are telling me

but it hurts to think of him as a horrible person. he has been so nice and sweet ever since i met him. do people change so fast or camouflage their real character for so long?

if he wants out, he should tell me straight up  cry cry cry
Although he's prolly thinking u shd get the msg by now, it still doesn't mean he shouldn't do the decent thing and be a man in such situation.

You've pleaded and pleaded, etc. . .wot more does he want u to do?!

I honestly feel very sorry for u. But guys are complicated than they like to admit. They're always quick to say women are complicated, but this is soooo not true. And yes, people do change just like that. Some people can't even explain, or give reasons for why they act in such manner. He prolly does love u but is prolly going through a "phase".

Do ur best (as uve done so far) and leave the rest to God/fate cos he prolly doesn't wanna get back with u, so no amount of tears will be of help. Sorry dear. Be strong.

My God!! shocked shocked shocked shocked Why would he want to add to the stress in people's lives?! They're trying to sleep for God's sake, and it's not even an hour journey. shocked shocked All in the name of God! Hmm. The guy should have been kicked out of the plane, nonsense!
RomanceRe: I Am Going To Have A Nervous Breakdown by kellorah: 10:58pm On Oct 26, 2009
The way the guy is going on about it isn't right.
He should have the decency to call u and end it like anyone would have.

Poster, this situation should clearly tell u he's a horrible person. Sorry bout ur situation. These things do happen. Weeks/months/years from now u will look back and laugh.

Be strong, and don't worry urself too much bout it. Someone better will def come along, that's if ur bf doesn't come to his senses by then.

I wouldn't feel safe. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed It's too early to be trusting the dude. What happens if u refuse to give him some and he rapes u? EducationRe: Did You Get Admission This Year? by kellorah: 11:25pm On Oct 21, 2009
^^^ True say.

And the poster can always go on to do a masters or a PHD later on, and can be a professor later on. He can even go on to write and publish a book and may go on to be richer than some people who studied engineering.

Never look down on a course. All subjects are important, may be not to you but to others and society.

Besides, English may not be seen as a sought after course now but poster can re-write history.

Poster, make the most of the subject you have been given, whether it was ur dream course or not-especially as it's the first time uv been lucky after writing JAMB for a number of times. Same goes for others.

Good luck.

(They were prolly born back in the day, when racism was very common)
Foreign AffairsRe: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by kellorah: 11:04pm On Oct 21, 2009
It's not bout me pretending or what not. I know quite a number of mixed race kids, and such problem does not exist in their families/lives.
What's the likelihood of such thing happening, seriously? ? ? undecided undecided undecided

Foreign AffairsRe: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by kellorah: 7:07pm On Oct 21, 2009
Wow!! I didn't know people had issues with mixed marriages/kids from mixed races, and not just black or just white people.
Wonders shall never end. shocked shocked shocked shocked
The guy is racist towards mixed race people, it is clear.
He should be sent to prison or something. KMT!!

Who told him mixed race kids are not accepted by their different race families? What a load of bull!!  huh huh
How many mixed race kids have said their white or their black extended family members do not accept them? Or that they are bullied for being black and white. I support mixed marriages, as it helps eradicate racism, and the kids are usually always good looking. grin grin grin

The whole bathroom ish he mentioned clearly shows he is racist! Like anyone in their right sense would mention such crap. shocked shocked shocked

He should be sacked or something. undecided

Mixed race people rock. He can go and eat shit for all I care. wink wink wink wink

Regarding gay marriages, u can transfer the couple to someone else if it is against ur religious beliefs. But to then add stuff like "the children they will adopt in future will turn gay, and for that I wont marry them" is just ridiculous.

So yeah, this JP is so wrong in his reason for not marrying mixed couples.
