This is to invite all candidates who the chose the university of Benin as FIRST & SECOND CHOICE of University and

who scored 200 and above in the April, 2009 University Matriculation Examination (UME) conducted by JAMB to a

Screening Exercise. The exercise will take place in the University Benin at 9.00a.m on each of the following days.

Candidates should be at their assigned venues at 7.30a.m. prompt

Note

Eligible candidates will be screened for knowledge in 1(one) paper made up of section A and B as follows:



Section A: English Language.

Section B: general papers. This will entail screening of candidate knowledge in subject areas relating to the course of study.



Sales of scratch: This will commence on Thurs. 11th June 2009,and close on sat 27th June 12, 2009.

 

Mode of Registration:

 

Eligible candidate are expected to purchase a scratch card of 2,000(two thousand naira)from any of the branches of

the following banks in Benin City, Asaba, Warri, Auchi, Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kano and Port-Harcourt : First Bank,

Access Bank Intercontinental Bank, Wema Bank, Unity Bank, United Bank of Africa., Fidelity Bank, Bank PHB and

Zenith Bank Plc.

 

 

After purchase of scratch card, an eligible candidate is requested to up load his/her 1 X 1 COLOUR passport

photography with red background in Jpeg format only.

 

On uploading the 1”x 1” color passport photograph with red background, a candidate is expected to first preview,

confirm, SUBMIT and PRINTOUT immediately an acknowledgement paper showing his /her photograph. No complaint

of wrong or blank picture would be entertained after submission.


Application website close by midnight on Monday, 29th june,2009 (i.e. all applications must be concluded online not

later than midnight on Mon,29th June 2009).

 

The acknowledgement paper and Bank teller will be demanded of the candidate to identify him/her self at the

screening center to enable him/her participate in the exercise. The photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for

all admitted candidates throughout there stay in the University.

 

Original and one photocopy of the scratch card.

PLEASE NOTE: Any impersonator will be handed over to the law enforcement Agents.

You need to apply formally. The procedure will be made known on September 1. Check our web site for details.

Why did UNIOSUN not inform candidates before now that the University will not go below 200 UME score for the Post-UME screening?

Universities have no way of knowing the number of candidates who qualify for post-UME screening until just before the exercise when the UME scores would have been received. Universities set the minimum score based on the number of candidates they plan to admit. UNIOSUN is not different. We have over ten (10) times more students than we can admit who scored 200 and above in the UME. We, therefore, have no need to screen students who scored below 200. It is morally wrong to waste the time of such candidates; and our time too.

If I am not on the list of qualified candidates, what do I do?

Stay away from the venues of the Second Screening Exercise. Watch out for advertisements for other UNIOSUN programmes. If you are a science student and you have the requisite qualifications, apply to the Pre-Degree Science Programme of the University. Check our web site for details.

Why can I not find my result and what do I do?

The most likely reason is that you did not shade the appropriate biodata section of your OMR sheet correctly e.g. JAMB Registration Number and the UNIOSUN Form Number during the First Screening Exercise. Send an email to info@uniosun.org if you have 200 in the 2007 UME attaching a scanned copy of your UNIOSUN form and quote your scratch card PIN and Serial Number.

They are very stupid.Although i did not put for it their form but is very painful how people were wasting there time and money to browse without achieving there aim.
Can you imagine somebody using 1 hour without checking her result,just one result;IS VERY VERY PAINFUL.IF they know they cannot operator on line why can't they use manual?This is question that all of us have to ask them so that they will know what over 100,000 people are passing through.
After making money through the selling of the form,selling of scrach card to over 100,000 student,they cannot upgrade their site to the level that will work for them and the people that want to use it.
My fellow Nairaland users i'm very annoyed with this people.I will send a ''condemnation message'' to them now so that they will know how bad they are or what do you think?

SCREENING OF APPLICANTS FOR ADMISSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMMES

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All candidates who obtained application forms for admission to degree programmes in Osun State University are requested to note the following:

1. There will be a screening exercise for ALL candidates between the 8th and the 11th of August, 2007.

2. Candidates are to complete an online biodata form and upload their passport photographs between Wednesday, July 25th and Tuesday, July 31

3. The passport photograph uploaded by a candidate will be embossed on his or her student ID card when admitted into UNIOSUN and on the certificate upon graduation.

4. An acknowledgment slip indicating a special number for each candidate and the location where the screening will be conducted will be generated upon successful completion of the online registration.

5. Candidates are to bring the acknowledgement slip to the venue of the screening.

6. Candidates without the acknowledgement slip will NOT be admitted into the venue for the screening.

Am Hakeem by name and also one of those who wish to studie in a University like Uniosun, About the date for the Post entrance examination (post ume) the 4th and 11th of August is the authetic date but the venue as not being decided yet, due to some reasons, but before the end of next week, the venues shall be advertised in the daily newspapers exp. Punch Newspaper and it might be displayed on www.uniosun.org

And about the low jamb score, Well for now those in that category shall be prayerful and hopeful while they keep their fingers crossed believing that they will be considered,

Finanlly, about the pass in English, maths or any other subject, If uniosun won't be accepting candidates with pass in any subject they ought to have informed the public aforehand.
