Nkono's Camerounian league titles is lited there. I did not see you complain.

Enyeama is among the top Goal Keepers in Africa's history. Respect your legends ffs.
u called him the greatest which is an insult to past legends who been there and done that..

TheSuperNerd:
Yeah, yeah.... Started watching soccer last week even........ And you've been following since 1930 huh?

Do you even know Antoine bell and Grobelaar??

Nkono is a world-class legend. But sorry, even in his generation, Antoine Bell beat him to Gk of the century in Africa according to IFFHS (international federation of Football history and statistics).

And in the current generation of Goalkeepers, Enyeama stands "tall" on the IFFHS LEAGUE OF AFRICAN GOALIES as the best for 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, and even for the better part of 2004-2011.

ENYEAMA DOMINATES THIS GENERATION AS BELL AND NKONO DOMINATED THEIRS.

SO why put Enyeama down why??

You quote Buffon...... Well, How about quoting the IFFHS who rated Buffon once as the world's best goalie. With Neuer the current world best.

There is NO HIGHER AUTHORITY ON FOOTBALL STATISTICS AND RECORDS THAN THE IFFHS.

Sir, I'm done..... You can conduct searches for yourself because I don't have such luxury right now to paste all the links.

So much for a lad who started watching soccer in 2015, or even last week huh??

*smiles* Keep on hating on Enyeama but History will tell the story.
iffhs,hahahaha... u are so clueless bro.... the fact u keep on mentioning grobelaar who was zimbabwe by origjin but never made an apperance for them shows u don't know what u are talking abot...
For ur information,i'm a liverpool fan, and bruce grubelaar mounted the sticks for lfc in 60s or so...
Like i say once, take time out and read about the 10 greatest players to grace out of africa.... widen ur knowledge and stop quoting ifhhs or whatever,lol...
this is the same nonsense ifhhs that rated aboutrika as the world best in 2008 ahead of the lyks of messi, lol...

Do you know Grobellaar of Zimbabwe, Badou Zaki of Morocco, Essam El-hadary of Egypt, Antoine Bell of Cameroun, and even the Thomas Nkono you really speak of??

I don't have to spell it "ALL" out to you.

Look, No African Goalkeeper have reached the heights Enyeama has. And History knows it.

Nkono was named Africa's best, is that your strong point? How was the competition then huh?

Here's just a few on Enyeama: (find the rest)

**Note: I delibrately left out his achievements and records in Israel and France**

First and Only African Goalkeeper to score in Uefa Champions league- Enyeama

Africa's Best Goalkeeper at Afcon 2004: Enyeama

Africa's Best Goalkeeper at Afcon 2013: Enyeama

Africa's Best player based in Africa 2004: Enyeama

Africa's Best Goalkeeper for the last 7 years or more according to FIFA's IFFHS: Enyeama

Only African Goalkeeper to be nominated for the CAF APOTY AWARD and made the top 3 in the past 2-3 years.

»»»» Find the rest..............*smiles*

Bro, Statistics and Records don't lie. If you can't live with that then Good day to you too.

Don't allow your "hatred" and "dislike" for a Legend blind you to facts.

Note: El-hadary achieved within the continent of Africa. What of the world??

Enyeama went beyond Africa and still held his own among the world's Finest.
i
Enyeama is at worst top 3 in IFFHS statistics.

Even Antoine Bell trumps Nkono in IFFHS statistics.

Enyeama's career is still on..... After it's finished, it'll become glaring to all. *smiles*
best gk since 2008? u are talking nonsense.....i stopped reading there.... its clear u started watching football in 2015..when el hadry was winning three straight afcons, enyeama was being emberassed by the likes of ghana's asamoah gyan and co...... haha...

Put Enyeama and Nkono side by side.

HISTORY IS CLEAR ON THIS..... NO ARGUMENTS.
tell me which history where enyeama is rated as the best ever.....show me...
which accolades are u talking about,he is not known outside if african shores,he plays in backwaters in france after spending majority of his career in war torn isreal....
Yet u comparing him to a legend like nkono who gigi buffon named his son after.... his mistakes has cost nigeria frm progressing to nigeria in two world cups... enyeama isn't even nigeria's best ever....wtf is this!!

Definitely Nkono is a great Goal Keeper, not my era at all but you can not deny that Enyeama is not far from him in accomplishment. There is no way you can say Enyeama is not special.

I will accept El Hadary as the greatest. Nkono might have gotten the African Player of the year twice but El Hadary's record apart from that African Player of the year award trumps Nkono.

TheSuperNerd:
Wow! Ok.... I find your stance interesting.

Look Sir, Enyeama had his "ARCHILLE'S HEEL".

But you can't deny his "Class"...... CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2003 AND 2004, CAF SUPER CUP 2004 AND 2005, AFCON 2013, and a few more.

It's not about his titles but about his contributions between the sticks for these WINNING TEAMS.

I've moved on from Enyeama since he retired. We have fine gks coming through like Alampasu, Udoh, Enaholo. Ikeme is no.1 for now.

But Sir, History will remember Enyeama as Africa's greatest goalie ever.
That's just it.

I don't know why you don't rate Enyeama, but it's ok, you have your reasons.

I like David De Gea so much. Followed him since Korea 2007 Fifa u-17 world cup but even he would have done little to stop Nigeria's crash at the hands of France. Why?? The defensive/central midfield role was left "VACANT"...... A reuben Gabriel who came in made matters worse. He was like a ghost on the field that day.

Ciao...... And happy weekend. **smiles**
do u know who thomas nkono is? enyeama is nowhere near african greatest keeper.... jesus christ, what i'm i reading

Are you saying he did this from one save here and there?
read my post well, i never said that.... i said he is too error prone, he basically cant deal with crosses..... the main problem is he is too short for a goalkeeper..... opposing teams just send in crosses frm setpieces and u know he will flap at everyone of them

So if Mikel is not getting games this season, he did not have a good career? 62 games at 22 years shows he is a good talent. Numbers do not lie.

You said Enyeama is not special only by African standards. Please get it. Enyeama is one of the best Goal keepers in the history of French Football. I guess that is African standard.
my views on enyeama are known.... he makes school boy errors which cost u then covers it up with a good save..... its no wonder his career has mostly been in isreal and now at the backwaters in france

Well, it's ok..... I don't wanna argue. You believe what you wanna believe.

And yeah, Enyeama misjudged "that cross" that resulted in France's first goal (but this was one incident. What about the super save he pulled off that Paul Pogba "rocket"?? ). But all happenings from France's first goal to Yobo's own goal CAME ABOUT BECAUSE OUR MIDFIELD'S DEFENCE SCREEN WAS REMOVED.... Who?? ONAZI!!!!!!!!!

Nigeria lost "firm grip" of the game because, like a chemical reaction, a vital "catalyst" was taken out.

Even a De gea would have done nothing in this situation..... Hey! DE gea is my namesake. But this is true.
my views on enyeama are well known here.... i've always maintained he ain't nothing special, very overrated due to african standards,he makes so many school boy errors in a game but then he pulls off a great acrobatic save and people forget and proclaim him the best thing since sliced bread.... his errors has cost us so many times lyk at the 2010 world cup but people reme.ber his messi's heroics and its all forgotten,he is an average keeper...
but yeah sorry for digressing..
On ur point, i think a de gea would absolutely had saved us,same with neaur, cech, courtois, navas etc.

And you are saying the same thing over again. It is not injuries but a deliberate attempt to weaken the other team by injuring them. If the French were so ahead, why resort to a deliberate attempt to injure players to win.

Explain that before staking your hard earned money and calling a Lazio player mediocre.

54 min Filthy tackle from Matuidi almost amputates Onazi's ankle and foot. He 'had eyes only for the ball' is the commentator's cop out.
