satope1: You didn't get my point. I don't club neither do I spend 200 naira daily on call cards. I said basic neccessities of life and all those you listed aren't basics of life.

Let me break it down more easily. 19800 divided by 30 days is a paltry 660 naira daily. On an average, except you stay in a village where cost of transport is lower. The least you can spend in a day on average on transport alone is N200 in most Nigerian cities.

That leaves you with 440.

Call card and subscription on an average=100
You have less than 330 for feeding daily and other neccessities. Even if you buy foodstuff and what have you in bulk. You can't tell me you would eat at home daily at every meal time.


We have not factored in cost of transportation back home if you are posted to somewhere far. This does not even inclide accomodation costs, house items, nepa bills and so many other things. Please be realistic. Except you want to go hungry and deny yourself the basic neccessities of life you can't save a shishi from that measly amount they call allowee. Throw that saving theory into to the trash can. realities on ground does not level up to what it states.

You are right bro. saving in this situation is quite hard.... weeks ago, a friend told me he wants to save 10k from his allowee for his masters when he's through with his nysc and I laughed @ him. cos its quite hard with cost of things in Nigerian cities.

Seriously, this new method is getting me worked up... yesterday I tried reprinted the bio data form but they didn't even recognise my email. Meanwhile I ve registered though I didn't pay the 4k since my school is close by.
