It all started when Mr. Eghosa contacted us on January 31st! Mr. Eghosa wanted to know how lucrative the blogging business was and was planning to venture into it. We scheduled a few calls and virtual meetings with him to explain and break down the process. We explained the concept of domain names (.com, .com.ng, and other extensions). Many web developers or companies wouldn’t explain this to you!

During AdSense approval, your domain extension matters a lot and even along the line in your blogging sphere. If your audience is primarily Nigerians and you have no intention of expanding to non-Nigerian content, maintaining a .com.ng domain would ease your AdSense approval with local content and help build feasibility and SEO traffic over time.

Considering that a .com.ng domain is even cheaper than a .com, it could actually be more helpful depending on your long-term vision for your blog. We finalized on a .com.ng domain and ensured the domain name was optimized for his blogging niche.

PS - It's barely two weeks since Mr. Eghosa got approved and started blogging officially, and he has already made over $65 (screenshot attached below).
