SportsUzor Kalu, Odegbami and Others To Miss Out On FIFA Presidency by kenny091(op): 7:13pm On Oct 28, 2015
FIFA has confirmed the list of candidates to replace Sepp Blatter as president, with suspended UEFA president Michel Platini’s candidature remaining pending while former Trinidad and Tobago captain David Nakhid was excluded.
Despite seeking a spot amongst the presidential hopefuls, Nakhid was not on the list of candidates confirmed by FIFA on Wednesday.

The Zurich-based organisation subsequently explained that the former Trinidad & Tobago captain had been excluded for irregularities in his support.
“One of the five declarations of support for Mr Nakhid was declared invalid as the same member association had previously issued a declaration of support for another candidate,” said a FIFA spokesperson.
“In view of this, the Ad-hoc Electoral Committee decided not to consider Mr Nakhid’s application as it did not fulfil the required five declarations of support.”
A replacement for Blatter – who has also been suspended on grounds of an alleged “disloyal payment” made by FIFA to Platini in 2011 – is to be elected on February 26 next year with the deadline for nominations passing on Monday. Both Platini and Blatter deny any wrongdoing, but the Frenchman’s bid to take the role within the sport’s governing body will not be processed “as long as such a ban is valid and in force”.
FIFA Ad-hoc Electoral Committee confirmed the list of candidates on Wednesday with former Trinidad and Tobago captain Nakhid not among them, despite his claims to have received the necessary five nominations from football federations.
Alongside Platini, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Musa Bility, Jerome Champagne, Gianni Infantino, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and Tokyo Sexwale will all stand for election. cc lalasticlala

brooklyn49:
It is on record that late Dr. Abubakar Olusola Sarki
investigated the mysterious disappearance of US
$2.8 Billion from the NNPC account in Midlands
Bank in the United Kingdom, during Buhari’s
stewardship in 1976. It was discovered that the
money was traced to General Mohammadu
Buhari's foreign bank account. Then Nigeria
Broadcasting Corporation news caster, Miss Dora
Ifudu, reported the interview where the disclosure
was made. As a result she was dismissed from her
job. She took Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation to
court, won her case and was exonerated and
reinstated. US$2.8 stolen in 1976 will amount to
how much today? Much more than the total sums
bandied around against Jonathan's
administration.
I never thought this day would come. This is hilarious, if you are going to attcak the integrity of PMB at least you would look for a credible character to hang your falsehood on. Is Dr Olusola Saraki who impoverished us in Kwara state before handing over to his son that you are using for this dead on arrival propaganda. Or you thought because his dead you can get away with the lie, well, the yorubas have a saying, 'it is a lying man that will say his witness is in heaven'. Bring forward a living PDP member who successfully investigated PMB for corruption. I dare you. Rubbish and ingredient

PoliticsRe: A Call For The IgboS To Unite: The Time To Act Is Now! by kenny091(m): 12:33pm On Aug 04, 2015
exxell:
My dear, we have never believed in the Nigerian dream. The Igbo youths coming up now are coming in hot. We don't blame The so called red cap chiefs you saw at Abuja... If you truly saw them. They are probably the ones with a battered up psyche due to the effects of the war. They are prolly looking for some help or something which I still doubt. We never saw a war and we are willing to see one if need be!

As for your shattered umbrella thingy, let me remind you that I am from Anambra and APGA is our identity. We have never believed in anything that is not pro Igbo or Pro Biafra. This alone destroys your argument of me believing in the umbrella. We are not going to go back to any drawing board because nothing was ever in place before. We are still trying to put something in place and God willing, it will come to pass no matter how long it takes!
You have never believed in Nigerian dream yet your investments, Education, politics, marriage et cetera is strongly interwoven with Nigeria. And what is APGA but a front for PDP. Ask Peter Obi
PoliticsRe: A Call For The IgboS To Unite: The Time To Act Is Now! by kenny091(m): 11:59am On Aug 04, 2015
Igbo people never learn. U just had ur axx handed to u in a general election. Now like joe igbokwe said, for the first time u are in the opposition. Instead of going back to the drawing board to pick up the pieces of the shattered umbrella that was the PDP. U go around nairaland creating threads for u and ur ethnic groups to unite, pushing insolvent ambitions like biafra. The funny contradiction is ur political leaders, they are busy grovelling in Abuja looking for crumbs. I can't count the Number of Red-capped 'Elder' unions that have visited buhari or offered him advise or congratulate him. Igbo please learn, do not bury your heads in the sand of biafra like the ostrich while Nigeria trudges on
