Christianity EtcRe: Interpretation Of Tongues Spoken In "Way Maker" By Sinach by Kenny4lyfe(m):
[b] @Seun speaking in tongues in worship is not "out of place" in this song as worship is addressed to God alone. God demands that worship be offered "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:21) and according to 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 that‚ "if I pray in an unknown tongue‚ my spirit prays but my understanding is unfriuthful (incomprehensible to the human mind). What is it then? I will pray in the spirit and I will pray with the understanding also‚ I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with understanding also." (emphasis mine).

"Articulated speech of human understanding is not enough to have deeper fellowship with the Father. God created language and He's therefore greater than it."

The tongues spoken in this worship piece by Sinach is borne of the spirit. In that video you watched her minister to God in worship. Worship is contagous as we can be inspired to worship God with that song by listening to that song (I always do) and in the process we‚ being filled with the spirit can make spiritual utterances of our own to God in worship (in other tongues). Until that ministration dawns on your spirit‚ the meaning of whatever she said "in other tongues" in that song will not be unvailed to your understanding‚ not even if someone here was to tell you it's meaning. Tongues is indeed a sign 1 Corinthians 14:22

Seun‚ the answer you seek is in believing and confessing the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life FIRST...

^^^^
I'd appreciate your response to this call to salvation.

Come to think of it‚ this trend is not entirely new. I'll suggest you listen to:

It all started with 1. the desire to be the best. I utilize my 100level very well, lifting a 5.0 cgpa to 200l. But 200level was really tough. That was where mathematics started (smiles). The best I could do was a 4.43. I realized I have to change my strategy and so during the holiday b4 300level, 2. I stayed behind and study assidiously. I read wide, practise on a daily basis, resolve past questions and pray always. 300level first semester became one of the best semesters for me. I hit a 4.90 gpa and 4.74 cgpa. From then on, I maintained it till I graduated with a 4.71. Now, let me give u some tips.
3. Prove to yourself that u have d needed intelligence for a first class. Ur IQ must be pretty much above average especially in a subject like mathematics.
4. Be prepared 2 fight 4 it. No university will hand over first class degree 2 u on a platter of gold. The system will extract blood from u (smiles). U will need to do what ur coursemates are not doing. U must go d extra mile.
5. Keep urself motivated: There are two types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic.
Intrinsic motivation is d type that comes frm within e.g a sense of fulfillment while extrinsic is based on extraneous factors e.g being recognised as d best. Look 4 somthn dat will keep u motivated.
6. Teach your coursemates and be very humble about.
7. Do not get too close to your lecturers and also dnt get too far frm them. Strike a balance.
8. Commit all ur efforts unto God. The race is nt 2 d swift neither the battle 2 d strong bt time and chance happen 2 them all. See u at d top.
Thanks alot!!! grin

Great prospect bro...

However, I studied computer science in math department, I never really had a feel of education...

But, when was in school I joined this blog of Asians particularly Indians... They only discus mathematics...csnt remember the name, but... You could search...

Then secondly, get o line tutors from overseas... Nigerian lecturers may make you look worthless after 4 years.

Finally.. Join all tutorials in school, especially those by bright students a year or two ahead of you.

Thanks
Thanks bro!

Good luck with your plan. Just don't go too wide.

Ask those who came close what they would have done if they were to start all over again.

BEd is tough. Take courses from science and then take from education, not easy.

When you achieve your aim, send me an email again. With a first class in math edu, and the help of the Lord, I can place you into a university of your choice. Think Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, MIT. And yes, I mean it.

So, go fight like a lion and achieve your goals.
Thanks alot. I'll do Just that!

This might sound counter intuitive but my advice for you is to get past notes and past questions from those who graduated before you and from those who took the courses you will be taking and taught by the same professors. In my view, and if you depend on your grade to advance your career, it is better to get the best grades while at school and widen understanding later..Though sometimes both can be achieved but it's not so common. Even the top schools in the world judge you first on the basis of your grades before they admit you to see what you can actually do. I know my position might be debated and I accept that different people have different views and experiences, but bro, na wisdom of many years I dey dish out for you so.

Good luck
Not at all! I've started something on this part but you've gotta read wide and be extra workaholic to make a 1st class B.Ed Math in my school. A record I intend to shatter.

I guess you can get them from amazon online stores. Shaums series could be downloaded free too.
But I'd advice you to buy hard copies and read them @ your leisure. There is something about owning a book you bought yourself, it inspires you work hard in getting your moneys worth in knowledge. That's my personal experience though.
I share same views with you @boldened but I kinda hold downloaded materials the same way these days since data subs aren't exactly free. Downloaded materials are also portable. I can have it on my laptop and smartphone. All the same sha! Thanks!

These books are the reason I graduated 4th best in my department. BSc. Mathematics
Thanks!

Can I place online order for them?
Or better still download them in e-format?

Thanks again!

Good one op.

The kind and caliber of leaders we get is a reflection of our idiosyncracy as a people.

The concept of "change" as championed by APC wasn't just a "change in who gets what" but a brainwashing of our behaviours and attitude towards leadership- for both the leaders and the led. I guess majority of Nigerians were blindfolded with sweet and empty promises.

Fast forward to 1 year 3 months later...

Here's where we find ourselves- the exact opposite of what we all envisaged.

Even zombies didn't imagine things to be the way they are now (though they deny it publicly).
