What of the fact that more people voted against Cameron than for him, isn't that meant to count for something??
I think what would be fair is Lib Dems looking at both potential governments and forming a majority with the ones that best support their policies.

Its not a matter of who supports the Lib dem policy best, but the overall interest of the nation, labour the incubent party lost almost 90 seats so they cant be that popular. Also how can gordon brown expect to do two terms in office without being officially elected by the people? His first term was a hand-me-down from tony blair and now a yeye pact keeps him in power
