[quote author=FOLYKAZE post=127991321]You've done well Seun by identifying with the root, the African spirituality.

Christianity and Islam are the two foreign religions that tried not only to steal our heritage away from us but they completely want to erode us of our history and heritage. We've come of age to realise that ROF Ogboni had it source from the church. As a matter of fact, the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity (Inc.) was instituted on 18 December 1914. Its therefore not a new song that started yesterday that the core of those churches are closet traditionalist who sold dummies to their flocks.

Funny enough, traditional spirituality does not have founder. Unlike Christianity and Islam that was created by a dead Jew and Caravan robber in the middle east desert, African spirituality connects us I GUESS USING CARS, SMART PHONES, TECHNOLOGY AND WEARING SHIRT AND TROUSER WILL ALSO ROB YOU OF YOUR ROOT AND SHOULD ALSO BE DISCOURAGED?

I am telling you what is obtainable because it's my field and I've have never seen any school with kg3. I can tell you this for free because I visit so many different schools.
Hello, what is obtainable in your state may not be obtainable in another state. Also, pre-school system differs from one sch to another. Moreso, pre-sch is not well regulated because Government is less focused on all those creche, kg and nursery but is more interested from Primary (basic) upward, that is why each school (especially private schs) adopt any pre-sch system they prefer because it's not well regulated by govt. Govt only recognizes 6-3-3-4 system, shikena.

. I'm sorry to say this. You are wrong about the kindergarten. Look up the word in your dictionary, it is the class before primary. So kindergarten should come after nursery.
Ok. That is dictionary but in reality here in Nigeria, they usually put kindergaten before Nursery.

My brother you did well, some people might see it as wasting of money or pushing your kid beyond their limit, but they don't know what you are giving to them...

Yes, I disagreed with my wife about it at first, but when I saw the result on his IQ, I was very happy.

can a child start in primary
Yes of course. But it is advisable you start home schooling the child ahead so that he/she can catch up with his/her peers in primary. However, it is better to begin in Nursery so that the child will already be familiar with his/her numbers and alphabets, it makes it easier for the child when he/she gets to primary.

This is a big issue. I saw one this week. Looks like a six month old baby. I shout say this one too don start school? With uniform o..

As I was taking them rhymes, he didn't even mind me and was just pacing up and down the classroom. I said what are parents looking for bikonu? This one that should still be sucking breast, they carry uniform hang for him neck. Though what I like about him is that he didn't cry or disturb as long as we didn't give him any task to do. cheesy grin lol..

The right age should be 4 but schools admit a year+ and 2 years old cos I remember when working as a full timer, all my pupils celebrated their 2nd birthday in kg 1 and as we were moving to kg2 they were already 2. I moved with them because parents say na me must handle their ward in the next class o. Na run I run that ebola period grin

Most of them dey secondary school now. Chai my babies.

Chai, I just love this ur funny comment.

Okay.
Nice.

What do the kids actually do in creche? Is it compulsory for the kids to go to creche?
If i tell u wot dey do in creche u will laugh. They actually play cartoon for dem on TV, feed them wen its time, change their diapers, sing and play with dem and monitor dem wen dey sleep. creche is not compulsory, it's for busy or career parents.

It not so, there are some kids that are intelligent that needs to be enrolled in school as soon as possible...

My daughter got enrolled at 1 and half years, she was even the best in her class, because she was way intelligent, and school needs to start setting in, if not she might loose the intelligent nature to something else of not quickly nurtured...

She's 3years old and in KG2 now and she's currently leading her class
This is exactly the case with my son too but he is 4yrs now and in KG3. He also started early due to nature of our job and it really helps his intelligence, he is topping his class too.

I want to know the meaning or difference between creche, kg, and nursery?

Anyone has an idea?
creche is baby group (1 to 2yrs), kindergarten is pre-nursery (2 to 3yrs) while nursery is pre-basic (3 to 5yrs) (basic is primary, from 5 to 9yrs/10yrs depending on the sch). I stand to be corrected.

My first child, a son, started with "Baby class" when he was around 2 years because of how busy we the parents were at work. That really helped his IQ and made him a fast learner because when he gets home, he began to recite ABC and 123 that he was hearing from the older children class. Today, he is very brilliant and sharp.

Imagine, they told us that the guy died due to accidental discharge resulting from a negligent handling of his weapons. This is to imply that investigations have been concluded. OK?

But why telling us this at the same time?

Well, this is the obvious truth they're trying to hide: They're only feeling threatened that the guy's death means the Nigerian Army doesn't treat its personnel well

What could have happened? The other day it was a young bank staff that drank insecticide after writing a suicide note about her frustration, now this. So many people are passing through a lot, but a problem shared with a faithful friend is half solved. Everybody needs a shoulder to lean on. RIP to him.

Bad, this is a terrible way to japa. On an armed forces remembrance day? He must have thought of his life in service and after service, and saw no future, then decided to end it there. What a pity. RIP to him.

If you think of different things happening in Nigeria now, most especially the insecurity you will agree with me and never think twice before moving abroad. Please note that relocating abroad is a future goal that may take you 2-3years before balancing your status and you will have erased your mind of thinking about the Nigerian situation when relocating abroad. My wife is not working, so I have been the one shouldering the responsibility, despite that, God has given me my own house. Three bedrooms flat in front and three bedrooms flat at the back. In all honesty I made between 600k-1.5m per month.

Just of recent, the zeal to Japa to Canada has been on my mind through school route. I currently have like 7m in my account.

Another concern of mine is that the future of legal profession is reducing because of the amount clients are paying particularly in the area of agreement and other things.

As much as I hate to admit this, I believe our problems are more than physical. If osimhen was in napoli's jersey, he would have bagged an hattrick. There is this dark spirit that clouds our players whenever they are in Nigeria's jersey. Take a look at how oshoala bangs braces for barcelona and struggles here.

Something beyond the physical is going on. I believe it and I know I am not alone.
Seconded, many a times I have the feeling that bloods that have been shed wickedly in the country are seriously cursing Nigeria and crying for vengeance.

Nigerians are very terrible when it comes to noise pollution and there is no legal recourse in place to fix it. Stabbing them is NOT wrong.

I'm pretty sure the girl already warned the guy about the noise but he ignored the warning.

Imagine coming to your home after the stress of dealing with the rancourous environment of the campus and NOT being able to relax because some idiots wants to play shitty music on a loudspeaker.

I say stab them ALL!

If NIGERIA legalize guns, there is going to be at least 5 mass shootings every SUNDAY.

I'm very sure it's because of mentally-challenged people like you that guns are not legalized in Nigeria.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo warned our leaders many years ago when he said, "The children of the poor you failed to train will never let your children have peace".

The North is now facing their choice of ignoring Western education in favour of Quranic education and for refusing to see mass quality education in general as critical.

After 50 years, we are still seeing cut-off marks of 1% to 20% for the best Northern students; the leaders are not ashamed that they have not closed the gap in 50 years!
FACT!!! May Baba Awo's soul continue to rest in peace, amen.
