lomaxx: I was hoping that one day I would give my testimony on this thread. I got my 5-year visa grant yesterday for a PhD in Medicine at the University of New South Wales. Applied Feb 3, 2021 and it has been 3+ interesting months. I did it all by myself because of the experiences shared on this thread - I started from the very beginning and read every page. This is me saying thank you to everyone that shared their stories.
Now we wait for the borders to open. Have you gotten the visa already? |

Priceless25: @Kess2020.. since it's a nursing program and it was clearly stated that it can't be taken online, maybe you'll be granted an exemption coz some students that got in this year were given exemptions because they're medical students. Regarding getting into Australia this year, I personally doubt it, even the Astra Zeneca they're using can cause blood clots which has led New South Wales to suspend it's use recently. We're all in limbo with no end in sight but you have a better chance than a lot of us. So you are saying I shouldn't defer to october ? |

@Aussiejoan @AyaE and everyone that has been helping on this platform.
Guys I would be seeking for your honest opinions.
I applied for a Nursing course program starting June 28th 2021.
They previously sent a conditional letter I am yet to get my unconditional offer letter the school are in the process they just started after every details has been met and forwarded to them.
1. Is there hope of entering Australia by June 2021
2. Has anyone here gotten Australia visa in a month when they applied?
3. This program has just June and October every year do you advice I continue with the June application or start up afresh for october 2021 term before it gets filled up?
NB : My school stated boldly this my course can not be taken online they will need me present for this program I doubt they can grant me exemption letter for this or you think?
Thanks will be waiting to hear from you all soon heros . |

Even though the school said I can processs my documents and come over as soon as travel ban is lifted. Do you think it's advisable? Not just that the school said the $5,000 scholarship is just for the June/July term 2020. What are the risk taking this measure? Are there chances securing visa for my travel as soon as travel ban is lifted? @NB1912 @Bellong @Naijabad |

rolishair: Good day every one, I felt I should comment and also say a big thank you, to all the person's that have taken their time to post their experiences/ those that answered questions and the person that started these thread ... God bless you all ❣️
The covid 19 thingie has really opened my eye to why I should run four-forty from this country( Naija) cos of the way our leaders and citizens are handling the pandemic hence I started extensive research on the net, looking at which country I could go for masters and the prospect of post study work visa and I finally made up my mind to work towards Australia as it is easier to get admission and student visa compared to Canada .
In my research and everything, I ended on a website which was really helpful so I felt I should share with people looking forward to go the school route. Would greatly help in terms of school and course search. The site is *overseasstudentaustralia dot com*
YouTube also is your friend, it gave me good insight about Australia and the schooling environment.
I am still here for now, planning towards year 2022 February cos I have a good business here so I needed the time to rap up things and save money, also planning on going along with my niece, cos I promise her mom to take care of her .
The top place on my mind for now is Perth.
The course am looking at is either masters of social work Or masters of nursing practice and for my niece she said she wanted something in business so she would start with tafe first. ....would decide which before application time next year ...
Cheers and stay safe There are i could refer you to someone that helped me. |

AyaE: Since your school waived it then you can't say for sure what score they would need. Sure you'll write another IELTS for professional accreditation but your main concern should be actually getting a visa. I only just took the ielts to boost my chances of a visa. My advise is, it won't hurt to get a higher score. If you can afford the exam again then take it. About PTE, I believe its accepted too. Just get a score that will boost your chances. You can check the immigration site for a list of acceptable english exams. P.S write a convincing sop for why you are choosing not to further in pharmacology. It's the same field but still write something convincing.
What uni btw? University of the Sunshine Coast also another from a uni in sydney got 2 offer letter from 2 different schools. |

AyaE: Hello Guys, my grant just came in today!!!! Thanks to everyone who has contributed on this thread one way or the other on this thread. It has helped immensely. My time line: Submitted application-31st July 2019 Conditional offer- 15th July 2019 CoE- 24th November 2019 Biometrics- 27th December 2019 Submitted Visa Application- 25th January 2020 IELTS Score- 7.0 (I had a minimum band score of 7.0 so my average was 7.0). I got a waiver from the school so I didn't need IELTS for school admission. My agent advised I write one for visa so I did. School- Flinders University Sponsor's account: My maternal uncle. Submitted 2 bank statements. One had 18m and the other was a fixed deposit account that matures every 30days. It had 13m. Course- Social work (masters) BSc- Microbiology
Submitted my credentials, letter from sponsor, proof of relationship to sponsor (uncle & Mum's NPC) and sponsor's account statement. I didn't submit payslips or my account statement sha. Challenges faced: I already had an MSc in Microbiology so applying for a second masters was what I had to prove. Plus, with Social Work being a high risk course I had to write a convincing SOP. (I can share that with anyone interested cos mehn this took me like a month to write). My work experience was also a bonus cos I work as a care assistant. Sometime in December the bank statement I used for the school admission could no longer be used cos he had to move the funds to another bank for investment reasons. He had to submit another letter to this effect. He also had to back it up with the fixed deposit account. School resumes on Monday so if anyone could help with flight and accommodation links, I'd be most grateful.
Thank God!!!!!!! Omg you mean IELTS is the only English test required when applying for the visa? Can PTE go I hurriedly wrote Ielts last year in 3weeks without much preparation i got broadband 5.5 Recently got admission for 2 year Graduate entry nursing program with my previous degree in Pharmacology English was waived. Though on the admission letter they indicated before I could start up praticing as a Nurse I would need the English Test exam which is 2years after. Will my previous Ielts with 5.5broadband go for visa? i have been practicing and studying all these while for PTE test till I got the admission letter. But having heard 2years after the program will sti be needing English test, Can i apply for visa with the 5.5 Test result? what's your advise people went through this kindly advise. |

Avoid using agents that will wash your head with old success stories and still charge up 380k just to fill application for you. Most importantly pray Yea do true. |

Wunaarroon69: Hello Eveyone,
I have been getting emails about which documents I submitted. I have decided to just put it here for the general public.
Documents submitted;
- School Offer letter for September from University of Windsor for Masters program (2 years). I think there’s a luck with this university. People usually get their study permits granted when they’ve applied to this university.
- Proof of Tuition Payment ( I paid in full)
- Proof of Accommodation ( I already rented a two bedroom flat and got a contract sent to me)
- Undergraduate Transcripts & degree certificate
- CV (I wrote a standard one)
- Self Sponsored so I submitted my bank statements with about 40m. Note that there was no lodgement of funds.
- My landed property documents
- Statement of purpose/LOE (Outsourced)
- Other Supporting documents like business registration certificate, award certificates, etc
- Of course passport, birth certificate and other mandatory documents.
- Previous Issued Visas
I did not use any agent for the second application
Let me know if you have any questions I will answer when I can
If I remember anything else, I will input Bro the 40mils for this recession V.O gonna definitely stamp the passport thrice . |
