Goke7: Its the people in the ss and se that has been brainwashed that APC dislikes their region. It was a PDP campaign thing on the basis of religion to garner votes for GEJ. It worked in the se and ss but failed to work in the sw despite GEJ visiting all the churches.
Its however funny that the PDP will present a northern and muslim candidate in 2019 that the ss and se will vote for after the lies that a Muslim president will islamise Nigeria. Its all politics dear, no party dislikes any region as they will always need votes to be elected. Its a game of numbers. The PDP is a truly national party for all Nigerians regardless of tribe and religion. The APC is Islamic and Yoruba/Hausa/fuani up to 97%. weather the PDP presents a Muslim Hausa/Fulani we will vote PDP because they carry everyone along and that is the kind of party we want in Nigeria to make Nigeria great and Nigerians happy. |

MalcoImX: I can understand now. You felt betrayed. But from an outsider, we felt it's because he's reach out to other people. But still, my question to you is: Would the Igbo continue as it is, or would they support people like Rochas, as he seems to have the best chance of becoming a president or VP from that region? You may not like him, but he gets the trusts of outsiders and there's a feeling of being included when one's own is up there. The southeast is not interested in APC for obvious reasons, because the party is anti southeast and south south. Rocha's woes started after he joined a party that dislikes his region. |

obailala: How does rochas joining ApC amount to betraying his people?... because you love pdp or hate apc, you therefore want to forcefully impose your beliefs on everyone?... that's a pathetic mindset, rochas has a right to join or belong to any political party he wishes.
Oby has also been labelled a betrayer of her people by some nincompoops only because she chose to fight for the rescue of kidnapped kids; she's been labelled all sorts of unprintable names by ediots who are still angry with her because she dared to speak up against their hero gej. Oby certainly doesnt need her actions to be endorsed by these sort of lowlives. Her reward is definitely from above. yes Rocha's has the right to join APC.since he so much believed in APC he should have joined it before deceiving us by joining APGA only to run to APC and begin using Christian tax payers money to build mosques instead of basic amenities in Imo state. Oby campaigned vigorously against the previous regime and has been neglected by the current one. if she was abused by internet users, they are entitled to their opinion. we are not in a military regime the way the current government has made our democracy to look. |

Just like we can't see why you should single out Rochas to be denigrated. bro,you don't betray your people. it is not just right. as a politician you must protect the interest of your people. Rocha's was a nice politican ,elected on the platform of APGA but dumped it and embraced APC.Every since then his goodness became history. its like he decieve us and ran away to where his heart belongs.it is no character thing ,Mr Malcomx.many Yorubas don't like Obj because they feel let down during his reign. |

QuotaSystem: Left to wailers, they'd be thrilled if elections could be next week so they can finally force it down everyone's throat that "PMB has failed!". Unfortunately that dream declaration will never come to pass, just like their dead, buried and decayed GEJ till 2019 chant.
President Buhari remains the best choice we had in the 2015 elections and I remain absolutely confident with logical reasons, that PMB is the man to pull Nigeria out of the downward spiral that the failed, defeated and dying PDP put it in before handing over the reins of leadership. There is this creeping belief that even the wailers and triPODS know that Buhari has the integrity, experience, resolve and determination to make Nigeria work which is why they are in a haste to declare his administration as 'failed' just one year into his 4 year tenure.
With the Dangote refinery and gas plant coming into operation in 2018 solving our petroleum and power supply issues, the agricultural revolution going on across states particularly in the North, the ongoing tax reforms and efforts to develop our steel industry and the exploitation of solid minerals etc; it's only a half educated and severely ignorant bigot that will fail to see that Nigeria is moving in the right direction and Buhari's presidency is on course to be a resounding success.
Let them wail, time will tell . the leading 21st century economies of the world are not oil and gas driven.when shall the mentality of Nigeria move away from oil. our country has devoted half of its budget in stationing thousands of soldiers and military hardware in the Niger delta because it thinks its life depends on oil that is present in every region of the world and gradually becoming worthless.the question that should be on the lips of every Nigerian should be what is the blue print of the government on industrialization and agricultural production for export. Nigeria lost it soul after the discovery of oil, when export of agricultural produce was the bane of Nigeria ,the nation was on the path of progress. |

StOla: She pointed out beer parlour tales of ownership. Not one single proof provided. I believe Tinubu has never denied ownership of The Nation or TVC or Radio Continental. But what proof is there that he owns Oriental or Renaissance hotel? Or Shopping Malls credited to him? Have you even considered that he might just be one of many investors of some of such holdings? Or totally not even involved in some of the wild claims made?
The OP then went ahead to even embellish her tales with even fancy ownerships.
The same mistake AIT made.
People just believe the internet allows you to just make claims as you like without consequences.
You on the other hand, apart from everything true about you, also own the supermarket down my street. You own a stake in a night club in Asokoro. You are also a known love-vendor involved in trafficking of prostitutes from Nigeria to Europe.
You are everything I can claim you are in beer parlours and on the internet.
Can I repeat same in court or with my true identity? Can you and the OP also do same? Evidence abound in the public domain that he owns must of those assets. if you are in doubt do a painstaking research and see the evidence. it is 100% fact that he owns Oriental hotel. remember that he became governor just after the last military dispensation when rampant corruption and massive asset acquisition was common amongst public office holders. |

While he is known to own some of these investments, you fail to provide evidence that he owns all you have stated.
Can you repeat the same claims in a competent court of law?
Why has the OP been crying about Tinubu in many threads since yesterday after news made round on Patience Jonathan and her many criminal theft?
Many people on this Nairaland are confirmed paid lackeys of many criminals that ought to have been beheaded in a patriotic revolution. what she pointed out is correct; true or false? |

x240: What it's the ratio of oil export in Ghana and what's the correlation of their oil earnings to their GDP. Ghana just started producing oil and for your info...they still even import oil and buy gas from Nigeria. Ghana is not an ideal situation.
If you want 3rd world countries examples like Nigeria. Pick Venezuela, Angola, or even Algeria. How has their economy fared?
You are asking if we are bereft of ideas when daft people only see issues through the lens of politics and can't reason well.
When all everyone wants to do is sit their lazy ass down and import. Want the naira to be as strong as the dollar so they can import all the rubbish. Fashion without commonsense. We have 180million people and not a single cloth making factory. We import everything.
Nigerians are the most lazy, skill less set of people we have. You wonder why people prefer bricklayers from Togo to build their houses nowadays? Because when a Nigerian does it, they do a dismal job. Bent pillars, faulty plastering and so on.
When last have you given your cloth to a tailor to sow. They spoil clothes, don't keep to time and you waste precious energy trying to get them to do the basic. I have had to carry a single shirt round 3 different tailors just for them to help mend it because it was a bit large and i ended up throwing the cloth away because they spoilt it.
Or you want me to talk about mechanics? 98% of mechanics out there are just dumb and daft and just after milking you of your money.
Are all these Buhari's fault? Are these not the same Nigerians that would make the country work? When your blue collar workers can't do one single thing right then you have a big problem.
And that's why qe would continue to languish. We know the real problems but we keep chasing shadows. If i should ask you now, what single thing you know how to do. I won't be suprised to notice you don't wven have the right skills. But it is your type that would go on and shout government, government, government. the reason for all you pointed out is greed of the north and southwest. The nation is dependent on the resources of a small area of the country and doesn't want to grow other sources of income or better still allow other areas to generate its own revenue and those two regions want it so. Restructuring and true federalism is the answer to Nigeria's problems. Economics make us to understand that scarcity brings about hike in price.Nigeria can't place ban on vital resources when it is obvious it lacks the capabilities to produce them.its wrong to import ,but before you stop importation you most provide enabling environment and amenities including vital infrastructure to support production and industrialization all that is absent in Nigeria yet Nigeria bans importation and the same products care present in the market at exorbitant rates. Nigeria is not working because Nigerians are lying to themselves and have continued to push down lies down the throats of many sane minds invain. until Nigeria becomes sincere and tell itself the truth then shall progress surface. Angola and Algeria are far better economically than Nigeria despite the slow down in global crude oil price.Venezuela can't be compared to Nigeria because it has been under USA and UN sanctions which Nigeria is not suffering. so,what is Nigeria's problem if not bad leadership and flop policies. |

x240: Maybe you need to scroll back up and read the article again.
Oil companies world over are cutting employees. Canada, Norway, UK and Russian owned Oil companies are streamlining staff strength to weather the low oil prices. Is it a Nigeria problem alone? Is Buhari the one governing UK. Or is he the president of the US where in Alberta alone over 40,000 jobs have been lost since 2014 due to oil.
You lots here can't reason and that's the bane of the country. Basic economics tells you that some jobs are not forever and come with high risks and your current employability depends on current prices of that commodity your employer deals in. It's not rocket science.
Yeah, the economy may not be fairing better but what does a logical person do? What's the principles of a good problem solver? They ask for the real problems and try and find solutions to it.
Why is Nigeria always at risk when the price of oil goes drastically down? Same thing happened 2007 to 2009 when oil price traded around 35 to 50 before shooting up back.
I shouldn't waste my time because a lot of you are lost causes .
$2300 is now 1 million naira. That's awesome news for some people. But wait what do you see there gloom. It's a matter of perspective. A smart person is always positioning himself for the good benefits....It is a fact many Nigerians are shallow.
China is daily devaluing their currencies to boost trade, tourism and so on but the almighty lazy Nigerians want theirs to always be overvalued so they can keep importing rubbish. Sit in front of their tokunbo tvs, eat made in thailand rice, wear chinko watches, plait brazilian hair and idle away doing nothing. Mr, Nigeria is not the only oil producing country. Ghana produces oil too,I don't want to use Norway and Canada as examples because those are 1st world countries. The Ghanian cedi is far valuable than the naira in less than 6months of the life of this government. how do you think the ideas of the ordinary Nigerian can help when you know that the government has anti democratic tendencies as pointed out by some american congress men even the President don't obey the courts talk less of those in government. yes we acknowledge the fact that there is drop in oil production ,doe that mean Nigeria with a population of over 170million people is bereft of ideas? |
