The fact is that the southeast was the first to set fire on any bridge of unity in Nigeria through the 1966 coup.

The responsibility therefore lies on the southeast to rebuild that bridge through working with their closest neighbors (southsouth) and those they truly wronged with the coup (north)... Those are the two regions the southeast must appeal to and join in whatever struggle they face.

The attitude of mocking others or trying to face Nigeria's neocolonial challenges alone will never work.

Like that lady pointed out, a lot of people from southwest are complete sellout and betrayers. They'll perpetually betray the overall south and they'll always gaslight others to making the wrong move that will put them in advantage long-term.

It's no mistake that their people are protesting alongside the north.

Whatever benefit comes from this protest, the north, southwest and a little of the southsouth will enjoy it alone. If it fails, the entire country suffer but a lot of people will not forget that the southeast looked on and laughed while they struggled. This will fuel more distrust and attitude to leave the southeast alone when they're being marginalized.

Perhaps a lot of your scholars need to go study sociology and psychology and start educating you guys cos when independent parties who can look at the silent war between the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria without prejudice try to advise you on the way forward you stubbornly refuse to listen.

Unless you are a government propaganda zombié I don't see any other reason why you can't sit down and think about what I have said and weigh it against the long term interest of the southeast before rushing to respond

You see why the ban of history as a subject has caused a lot of misinformation.
Oga go back & study the 1966 coup & who led it & which region he comes from.
It's not by force to protest.

The South East supported all other regions since 1999 against their own, from Obasanjo, Yar'adua, Jonathan. when they ask other regions to support their own. You all came out hard on them, calling them all sort of names & even threatened them to go back to their region.

It obvious the South East can never satisfy you lots. In the face of all this hate & animosity towards them, they have managed to survive without your support.

Veteran Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has denied reports that he dumped the Labour Party.

Okonkwo said he’s still a full-fledged member of the party.

He stated this on Tuesday while speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme.

“First of all, let me say I am embarrassed by your comment. I am just hearing it from your media station that I dumped the Labour Party. And I put up the statement that I made so that I wouldn’t be misconstrued. So, where did you get that from? It’s not certainly from the statement that I made. I am still a full-fledged member of the Labour Party,” he stated.

When asked if he’s still a member of the Labour Party, he replied in the affirmative: “Yes, absolutely.”

Okonkwo continued: “There’s no crisis in the Labour Party as it relates to me. There’s crisis in the Labour Party as relates to the NWC, which failed to organise an all-inclusive convention. And I thought that the leader ought to have taken a decisive decision to ensure, having seen that the convention did not hold against his instruction, that there’s an organised and all-inclusive convention according to court judgement and past agreement.”

Okonkwo, a chieftain of the Labour Party, had announced his decision to cut ties with Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate, as well as the party, due to concerns over Obi’s leadership style and inability to confront national issues.

He also questioned Obi’s ability to secure electoral victories and confront the country’s ‘kakistocrats’ and ‘kleptocrats’ head-on.

The veteran actor emphasised that he needed a more decisive, bold, and brave leader with integrity and team spirit to achieve his vision for Nigeria.
