definitely lies. this are some of the errors of Tanzanian government lies. they are very visible. I can guarantee you that the same people who visit Tanzania start their journies in Kenya, and will definitely end their journies the same route. With all this it simply means Kenya has more people employed in the tourism sector than Tanzania..simple logic.
Break it down to me how Tanzania is ahead.

Kenya has way more FDI than any other country in East and Central Africa despite leading all countries in Corruption, so yes clearly people are still investing in corrupt countries.

You are correct on that. I give Tanzania the edge on the mining sector. But tell me all countries that mine have towns and cities built or around those areas where minerals are found and infrastructure to show for this.

Kenya promote mass tourism but Tanzania promote executive tourism.

This is very true for nearly all Tanzanian hotels and projects. My friend is electrical engineer and he is mostly in TZ doing these kind of stuff. But they TZ will never give him work permit so they have to sneak in with tourist visa and do his work.

Yes this is very true whenever I'm doing a project in Tanzania the kenyans working there never have work permits, they all use tourist visas or bribe their way.

You are not serious. When it comes to institutional development. Ivory coast doesn't come close to senegal. Senegal was the political headquarter of all west Africa francophone country including Cameron during colonial regime. The basic infrastructure of the colonial government is still visible there today . And when it comes to social infrastructure, Senegal is next to Ghana in west Africa. Go check their health program coverage, electrified community, dams and others. Ivory coast still lack behind in this, doing very little in electrifying the country . But the wages and salary look very attractive cus it harbour very little population on her pay roll.

Don't compare Senegal to Tanzania in as much you agree ivory coast is somewhat okay. A country yet to get it like Senegal.

Same with ivory coast. The French looked at it as an alternate Headquarters of francophone Africa because Senegal was too religious (islam) ivory coast was liberal and the first president Felix Houphouet was very pro french. They built institutions for ivory coast that are still visible today. Hell at some point in the eighties and nineties Abidjan was called Paris in Africa. I would still rank ivory coast ahead of Senegal.

Thank you. The workers were 100, 30 in house and 70 commute daily. I would prefer to not name the hotel for obvious reasons. the local market area is called mafarasini. Kenyans were 11 in number heading I.T, Accounts, Procurement, storekeeping and Maintenance. the general manager was from the UK

Kenya has higher tourists numbers than Tanzania, 2017 and 2013 Tanzania received more tourists than kenya, this were election years. Tanzania has more tourists attractions than kenya but kenya has more hotels what does this mean for an investor?
I can guarantee you nearly all four and five star hotels in Tanzania you will find kenyan employees in most of the white collar jobs and they will also be the heads in the blue collar jobs

Tanzania is not ahead of Kenya in tourism never has been. Tanzania gets more tourists during election years in Kenya only, 2017 being a prime example.

Kenya has more hotels than Tanzania,
Kenya has an airport that is well serviced by all major world airlines and local ones too.
Tanzania doesn't have this.
Kenya has an existence of high domestic tourism and better rates for locals during off peak season. Tanzania doesn't.
I was doing a project in a hotel in Zanzibar February of this year in kiwengwa. The hotel was at capacity. majority of occupants were foreigners. All African guests were Kenyans. In the same Hotel the in house nurse, engineer,accountant and storekeepers were all kenyans despite being an international chain of hotels what does that tell you?

Take Gabon for instance low population, availability of minerals.
But poor infrastructure outside the capital Libreville.
Poor investment in health
poor investment in education
capture of state wealth by certain families and of course France
Non existent manufacturing sector, everything is imported from France which makes life really expensive for it's citizens
Non existent Agricultural sector despite being in arguably the best region in Africa with enough rainfall.
lack of information and transparency in Government.

Repeat this in all francophone countries and you will understand why Tanzania is waaaaay ahead of them.

Swahili is spoken in Oman as a second language by over 50% of the people. In Yemen the southern part speaks swahili as well.
Comoros speaks some variation of swahili and yes Swahili is ranked as an international language. It is the most widely spoken indigenous African language.
