I faced the same situation. It happens when the phone or device you're using has poor camera quality. My device is a tablet with very poor and video camera.
In my case, I had to use someone's phone to log into my pi account and do my kyc. That's the only thing that saved me.

I used phoenix browser. As you log into your pi to mine, a pop up will come out asking you to verify your pi wallet address. Follow the step carefully, then they'll send you an email asking you to verify your pi wallet address. Click the first link highlighted in blue, it will take you to your browser. There it will redirect you back to your pi app then complete your verification.

Make sure you hold your pi very tightly. Never share your secret phrase on any website or app apart from pi browser.
