Please could you tell me what a transponder key does for your car? I dont think I've seen one. The only thing I have heard about is the key that you put in your pocket and you can open the door without bringing it out. Is this the same thing with transponder? Please lecture me, I might get one for my CRV.

I suppose you are talking about yhe keyless entry remote system.

The Honda CRV comes with the transponder key system factory fitted. Honda models with this system are those from 1997 to the present.

I am afraid the RAV4 does not come with a remote key.

If your car does not come fitted (factory) with a transponder system or keyless remote entry we cannot be of service to you as we are only able provide replacement for the factory fitted ones.
