Living in America is by far better than living in Nigeria for those with correct paper , it favours the hard-working and punishes the poor , yes there is free food for poor people found in church food pantry, and where in the world do you want to take student loan and not pay back , you have to pay it back consider it an investment in your life , nobody should be discouraged about living thier dreams

Auschris , is right about the process , just for information on y avant was getting some of their i140 denied by USCIS , it's because the situation has gotten stricter, and so that's y the many denials , but avant has done something about that ,by merging with a bigger company , this doesn't change their name or affect their contract with people , it only gives them a bigger clout in dealing with USCIS , so further i140 will face less problems, and it seems to be working , just hang on it will soon be your turn

Am also with avant healthcare, I understand your annoyance , but there is a fact I need you to understand, it's in avants best interest that you start working asap , because that's where they make money , also during my transition I understand that we are luck in Nigeria in my class I met people who waited for 5, and 7 years to get here to the us , and remember that's y they advise keep on living your life till it clicks

nervorum:
Colleagues,

I'm an NCLEX holder with a Colorado board license sponsored by AVANTS..Just received news my I-140 was denied and i really feel frustrated and unsure of my next steps. I'm thinking of putting in for CBT and forgetting the US thingy altogether (put in 18months to get here with avants). You guys think its a good idea.

Honestly im an emotional reck these days after hearing the news of my denial. I can't say im in the best mind frame to make a sound decision. PLEASE SOMEONE TALK TO ME!

Dead people don't get admitted to the hospital , they go to the morgue , the crime would be if they turned away a live victim

[Nice write up , buy u err on the side of picking out one profession, it applies to all professions in the world , there are bad lawyers , teachers, engineers, pastors, etc the fact is the world is divided into 2 , no in between there are good people and bad people no matter the profession , just match their speech to their action and you will know who is who . As I always say nobody can make u feel inferior without your consent, forget about profession , in the end it's about who made more money , that's what I found out it boils down to ,quoteemaandict of nairaland for a couple of years now like....if I've not confirmed any news up here, it is not valid to me. I created a profile a couple of weeks ago and now, this is my first post......
let me share this as an antidote to a thread that was posted earlier by another nairalander.......

The fact that they are called medical Doctor does not make dem better, they are just ordinary human who had the intent to be called a Doctor or be an human scientist and gave the aspiration a pursuit.

He asked you out and you feel like OMG, he's a medical Doctor , ohk continue but know that, it is just a profession and not an human characteristic. He might be a doctor with characters worse than that of an apprentice.

You heard she studied medicine and you said to yourself, she will make a good wife and mother for my children... You are deceived by the smile she wears and the gentle warm feel of her hands when treating and attending to her patients
You forgot that's what she's trained to do and might not necessarily be her natural composition. Don't be surprised if she turns out bossy, a Nagger and probably a flirt.

That white overall they put on, that stethoscope hanging around their neck, that spectacles, that nose cover that drops to their jaw when not used and that way they dock their hands in that so called white overall( lab coat) is just what their job entails. It is as useful as cutlass and hoe to a farmer.

Ask me why I wrote all of this, I will tell you why those in the profession, parents and NYSC doesn't need to make us feel inferior because we chose to study some other courses.
Doctors(not all anyways) are quite intelligent and so are YOU. The difference is just the profession and nothing more.
I call it diversified intelligence.

it's a rule everywhere , it's called triage, i want you to imagine something if an ambulance gets to a site with an a body on the floor ,
the body is assessed on the floor for life and if the person is dead , straight to the morgue , they don't carry the victim into the ambulance before checking for life , also about people in power and the type of care they get , it is world wide the way it's done , this world is Rich vs poor anywhere in the world and not about tribe , colour , or gender
seanswitch:
Something is definitely wrong with our Healthcare system in Nigeria. I get it that medical people here have are defending the action of the hospital but my question is this. Would the hospital have treated Yusuf Buhari like that even if the blind can see that he is dead. Would they have confirmed if he is alive at the gate of the hospital? If the answer is No. Then this country is not for all of us.

Gozi2017:
@Auschris,thank you for your responses so far.am also with avant, passed the Nclex exam in may, they filled the I 140 application same month, since then I have not got any response from them, although I was told they did premium processing,I have also sent mails to avant to know my current status but no reply from them.
Please how long does the I 140 application usually take?
What do you advice I do at this time.
well am happy for you , i encountered that too with avant and i was able to sort out that by mailing the person attached to my case as well as copying the person in charge of avant immigration , also my process for i140 took about a month to get approved , reasons best known to them, but bear in mind it can take long for premium process now because of work load at uscis ,also they might take a week to respond to your mail at avant because of the same work load , i hope this is helpful and will like to communicate with u as well .

WANTED TO COMMENT BUT ITS A WASTE OF TIME
Keneking:
Peter Obi sef embarassed

I knew that this man knows a lot about Nigeria and major mercenary for corruption in Nigeria. The full weight of the law should be metted on this character.

He met the pope, knows all the bishops in Anglican and Catholic churches in Nigeria and one some would die for in Anambra State. I am sorry, no space for nonsense this time around. You would not be spared. Wicked one. The pope won't even save you and your type.

The church should do well by refunding all the monies received in cash or kind from this "cheerful giver" immediately, otherwise, I would quit. Everything received from Fidelity Bank and Peter Obi whether through harvest, bazaar, donation, cash, lunch, breakfast, etc must be returned.

I only knew that with time all this would manifest. This is just the beginning. Nonsense!

Obiano should be on standby, just in case.

Warning:
Quote me and I would take it personal with you and your type on this forum.
