World Cup: Nigeria Make Four Changes For Tunisia Game High-profile absentees Joseph Yobo, Mikel and Taye Taiwo are back in Nigeria's starting XI against Tunisia on Saturday in Tunis. Nigeria will start with three of the top stars who were left out of the home game against Kenya two weeks ago, as Everton defender Joseph Yobo, Mikel John Obi of Chelsea and Taye Taiwo from Olympique Marseille all return to the line up against Tunisia later today.
The three players were dropped by coach Shuaibu Amodu after they stayed away from the Super Eagles recent friendlies against France and the Republic of Ireland.
The fourth change from the team that beat Kenya 3-0 in Abuja two weeks ago is right full-back Olubayo Adefemi.
He could not play against the Kenyans because he fell ill just hours before the match. His place was taken up by the Swiss-based defender Yusuf Mohammed.
The starting Xi for Nigeria is thus - Enyeama - Taiwo, Yobo, Adeleye, Adefemi - Olofinjana, Mikel, Kalu Uche - Ikechukwu uche, Osaze Odemwingie, Michael Eneramo |

If the European champions defeat hosts South Africa on Saturday night, they will have recorded their 15th successive win, breaking the record set by Brazil, Australia and France.
It would also mean that Spain will equal Brazil’s 35-match unbeaten record. |

Manchester United Confirm Carlos Tevez Will Leave Old Trafford Premier League champions Manchester United have confirmed that Carlos Tevez will not be plying his trade at Old Trafford in the 2009/10 campaign.
A statement on the club's official website reads, "Following contact received from Carlos Tevez’s advisors last night, in advance of the deadline the Club set for concluding negotiations, Manchester United announces that Carlos will not be signing a new contract with the Club.
"The Club agreed to pay the option price of £25.5m and offered Carlos a five-year contract which would have made him one of its highest paid players.
"Disappointingly however, his advisors informed the Club that, despite the success he has enjoyed during one of the Club’s most successful periods, he does not wish to continue playing for Manchester United.
"The Club would like to thank Carlos for his services over the last two seasons and wishes him good luck for the future."

Manchester City Hoping To End Carlos Tevez Saga With ₤25 Million OfferManchester City could be ready to make their big move for Carlos Tevez now that they look set to complete the ₤18 million transfer of Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn Rovers.
According to The Independent, the Eastlands outfit believe that a ₤25.5 million deal will be sufficient to seal Tevez’s move from Manchester United, whose loan deal expires in 10 days’ time, and sources at City are confident that Carlitos will be playing in sky-blue next season.
Although the player’s adviser, Kia Joorabchian is unlikely to make any official announcements in the next few days, it is widely accepted that City are the club who can offer the best deal to the company who owns the Argentine’s rights, MSI as well as meet the player’s own wage demands and offer him the first team football that he craves.
Tevez has recently ruled out a move to Liverpool while there have been reports that the Red Devils are now prepared to dish out ₤26 million to secure the player permanently. It is expected that any deal will only be finalised once Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Real Madrid is completed. |
