I thought nairaland was a website created by Nigerians to discuss affairs experienced by Nigerians anywhere, there are now two people who are non Nigerians, Khiaa and Vapiti, I guess they are American and Russian respectively, at first when Khiaa said in a mention that she wasn't an African, I thought she was not serious but I afterwards came across Vapiti who claims to be Russian, apparently I got no problem with that but I just find it strange that non Nigerians would be on this forum.

Lalasticlala

Seun
LMAO grin You little whinning snitch, you can get over it because Seun said that Nairaland is for Nigerians and the friends of Nigerians and I have been here since 2009 so if you have a problem with that just create your own website, and stop your whinning.
PS... Nairaland has many members who aren't Nigerian.

Why on earth do you want to be illegal? This is one of the reasons all the posts dripping with "God" irk me. They are written by insincere frauds who only know "God" when they have no other options. Aren't you the same guy who has been begging for accommodation over the last 2 weeks? From LA to Boston to Texas?
Hmmmmm!

Haha thanks a lot, please what's wrong with living in LA asides the cost of living? Is it easy getting a job there? I mean under the table and cash jobs
lol cheesy I wouldn't know about the job prospects because LA is always a hit and run city for me, the sooner I'm out the better.grin but it is a very big city so I would guess the chances of getting work is positive, I don't know about the under the table jobs but I do know that hispanics are the majority in Cali now because Mexico is right next door, it borderlines San Diego and in the past because of the high amount of illegal immigrants alot of the people were being paid under the table.
To me LA= Shallow, conceited, fake, cold people, of course you will find some nice ones if you are lucky, but their nite clubs are bumping. grin

Okay that's about 2hrs from LA according to google....just wanted to know how life is in California
I have lived here all my life, Cali has its good and bad and I love it. The weather is nice, although it has been raining off and on for the past 2 weeks, there is no snow but if you want snow you can always go to Big Bear Mountain. smiley The cost of living is high especially in PS and Orange County. I'm going to move to San Deigo one day, I love that city and I'll be closer to the Pacific Ocean, it's beautiful. *Shout Out To CFCMAN I'm Coming Boo* cheesy
I think you will like it here but LA can be, well I'll just say that I wouldn't want to live there.
PS.. you are right, PS is 2 hours away from LA but I always make a detour to visit family and I included the extra 30 minutes. Sorry!

I dunno buh I read my bible
Wives be submissive to your husbands in all things
How can people expect someone to submit to them when they themselves don't submit to God? Showing up in a church is not submitting to God.

owk oooo, TankGod u're a lady which makes it practical enough, cut OBEDIENCE out of marriage and see aw far u can go wit watz left..... probably engage in a social chat with any mature woman u admire datz bin married for like 15/20yrs & den ask her d significance of OBEDIENCE especially frm d female wing in marriage
I know people who have been married since the 1960's and they said that they really love God unlike alot of people who are religious but dont even understand the concept of love (fake christians), love and respect for each other and truly being best friends is the key to their success, and the word obey was taken out of their vows.

Kid let me tell you about insanity;

When you bear a child, when he/she is growing up to be monstrous, pls make sure you let him/her do as he/she pleases, make sure you let him/her have total control of their life because they are not your property, and let's see who gets culpable, you people think you know about freedom but it does not make you any better and too bad you fail to know the source of your problem, there is freedom and there is discipline, they both should work together but the only thing the western world whispers to you ear is freedom, as a usually extremist African, you fail to think by yourself, because someone else's idea has preoccupied your head, guess what, they have a better life because their heads work with their minds.
I'm far from a kid and I'm not African. Your rant was unnecessarily boring. The topic was about a wife not a child and you can't seem to separate the two, so I will do it for you.
A wife is a HELPMATE to her husband, a life partner, a soul mate, and a grown ADULT capable of making sound decisions.

A child is your offspring that you guide and raise to adulthood, decipline when needed but don't browbeat at every given chance, show love, understanding and patience. A child is a MINOR rhat needs your control. I hope you can now understand the differences between a wife (an ADULT who has already been raised by her parents) and a child (a MINOR who is your responsibility to raise). Don't give me this crap about the west, look in your own backyard first, and speaking of decipline and freedom, who raised your corrupt leaders in Nigeria, who raised your crooked police, who raised your ritualist, your peodophiles, your rapist, your murderers? My point is, no matter how bleeped up the west is in your eyes, there is no crime that is committed in the USA that doesn't happen in Nigeria, except for marrying childen, you guys have an monopoly on that. sad It's funny how you accuse me of not being able to think on my own but think that you should be able to control your wife thinking,
whatever thoughts she'll have you will give them to her. Why would a sane person even contemplate marrying someone who can't think for themselves or someone who wants to control their every thought/move? Only insecure people think like that.
I will end my rant by saying, STOP being overbearing, be more loving and understanding to your wife and kids and maybe you'll make a halfway decent husband/father.

just as our mothers obey our fathers, we also xpect such frm our wives provided I'm not asking her to do a wrong or shameful stuff........ datz y OK parents should respect deir children's decisions especially wen d're married tho d're open to make suggestions on certain tinz but it doesn't mean d've got d final say on d Mata
I'm being serious with this question, I'm not joking around but is the word obey still in your wedding vows?

You know I said it looks difficult for you to understand, it still does, if I have daughter, the way I treat her is quite gon be different from after she's married, her husband has more right to her than myself, the steps she takes when she's with me, she needs my consent, after marriage, that responsibility becomes her hubby's, not that I can't have a say in her life again but it is when I have to. Btw, what does "Macho" mean?
lmao cheesy She needs your in-put/advice/suggestions not your concent, when she married you she became your wife not your child. smh!

It looks too much for you to understand, you are no more under the umbrella of your father, so the husband owns it all except in some cases, even if your father needs you to do something, he must consent your hubby whose approval you need
Insanity!! sad No one owns another person, people are not property.

then let's have your take
Because I love my father as well as my husband I would try to talk to the both of them and find out what caused the argument and try to resolve it, but if that didn't work and they continued with their demand, I would leave on my own.

Caring for them as a friend is different from walking up to guy and telling him you love him (that's just bizarre), even the Bible doesn't support such
No one is talking about telling a guy that you don't have a relationship with that you love him, that would be foolish, but there is nothing wrong with letting a MAN (not a boy) know that you are interested in getting to know him.
