Hello all. Something has been bothering me. Why is it that when one Mbaise person commits an offence, the other Igbos will pounce on the entire Mbaise stock with all manners of abuses? And when there is any issue concerning a small part of the Mbaise, others will make it seem like it's every Mbaise person that is involved in the matter. And I am very sure that not all those abusing Mbaise people and reminiscing on how bad they are have actually met an Mbaise person. Most is just from here say and fear induced by others telling various devious tales of Ndi Mbaise. This is most unfair. There is no other Igbo community that is treated in this manner. I don't know what would have happened if Billionaire Evans were an Mbaise, oh perish the thought, the fallout on Mbaise would have been legendary. When other sub Igbo ethnic groups commit crimes no matter how grave, other Igbos hardly paint them all with the same brush but not so when it comes to Mbaise. Biko we must retrace our steps as a people. My own son is not responsible for my ill actions much more the entire Afikpo. Let us stop maligning in our brothers and sister from Mbaise, please. Treat each matter individually. And in the case of the Bishopric crisis, stick to that matter, be you pro or against, do not paint the entire Mbaise ill due to one issue involving a small part of Ndi Mbaise. Remember, not all Mbaise is Catholic and not all Mbaise Catholic support the rejection of the priest from Awka. And please the issue is not who is right or wrong. I am just starting facts. And lest I forget, if a post is about an Mbaise, within 5 comments someone will mention kabaka's terrible snake folklore on them. It is mean and highly unnecessary. Please, stop from today if you are guilty of it.

Boko Haram terrorist group has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari for threatening to wipe them out.

A member of the sect made the remark in a new video showing how the group celebrated Sallah.

He said, “Where is the Buhari now? He is boasting that he’ll clear us, he can’t clear the religion of God. Where are the likes of Bush, Obama, Francois Hollande? They all tried their best not to talk of a small thing like him( Buhari).

He said an Nkwere man naturally knows that he is an Igbo man and that the name Biafra was given by an Ijaw man, likewise the Biafran anthem. He also said that Lagos will not be what it is now if the Ijaw oil cut off.

Alhaji Dokubo-Asari also gave reasons while he said he is not a Nigerian, saying, when he goes up north, they don’t see him as Nigerian but rather, the northerners call him Nyamiri while when he goes to Yoruba land, they call him Kobokobo.

Corroborating what the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had said some days back, Alhaji Dokubo-Asari also said that the current agitation for the sovereign state of Biafra is not a call for war but that of self independence.

Alhaji Dokubo-Asari gave the comments in a video clip posted by him.

According to him, “ I’m not concerned about what Nigerians think about me, I’m only concerned about what Ijaw people think about me.”

My people have never accepted Nigeria and so, how can I be a Nigerian? Nobody can impose Nigeria on me.”

“The free will of the people create nations. If everybody gathered together, the Ijaw people, you know which includes the kalabari people, nobody forced the Kalabari people to become Ijaw people, because naturally, they know they are Ijaw people.”

“So, nobody will force an Owerri man, an Nkwere man to be an Igbo person, he naturally knows he is an Igbo person.”

“So, if we want to be Nigerians, then we have to sit down, and decide for ourselves that today, we are going to be, or as separate identities, and accept Nigeria as our country, as our nation and we become Nigerians. We’ve not done that.”

There were not just caught with a stone , a grinding stone for that matter and everyone knows that they mainly operate in SUV . Which is enough reason to suspect.

I was going about in the night doing a video coverage with the youths turned vigilantes in the night and I was impressed in the way and manner the youths are guiding their streets , even burning tires , it got to show you that everyone is tired of crime , when all Nigerians have mentality like this , crime would become an history.

On Tuesday, December 13, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu and three others were at the Federal High Court to face charges of treasonable felony, management of an unlawful society among others.

At the trial, the judge, Justice Binta Nyako delivered ruling on an application for secret trial made by the Department of State Service (DSS).

The judge in her ruling said the witnesses will be protected behind a screen and their names withheld from the public.

However, Nyako informed the court that the pattern could not be labelled ‘a secret trial’ as widely believe by the defendants.



But, after delivering her ruling, Kanu, who was visibly vexed by the court’s decision said he will not be subjected to a secret trial.

Losing his temper, the leader of the IPOB said President Buhari made allegations against him in public and now wants to try him in secret.

He also said he is not intimidated by the president whom he claimed had been intimidating judges in the country.

A baby girl is reportedly being worshipped like a god in India after she was born with a facial deformity resembling an elephant’s trunk.

Villagers near Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, have flocked to see the ‘divine’ girl in the belief she is an incarnation of the elephant-headed god Ganesha.

They have continued despite doctors warning her condition may well be a genetic mutation, Asian News International reported.

The newborn’s aunt, named as Rajani, told the news agency: “My sister-in-law gave birth to a girl and her face looks exactly like Lord Ganesha.

“Everybody is saying she is an incarnation of the god.

“This is why whoever hears about her is coming here to get a glimpse of the baby and are making whatever offerings possible.”

The girl, who was reportedly born at 7am on Thursday, is said to be the fourth child in a so far ordinary and healthy family.

Her facial lump is between her eyes and appears to have divided her nose in two when the girl was still in the womb.

Doctors will examine the baby girl to find out the extent of her condition and whether they need to operate.

They have warned the condition could be a genetic mutation triggered by malnutrition and increased pollution, ANI reported.

A mother who poisoned her five-year-old son to drive traffic to her blog has been jailed for 20 years on Wednesday for killing him.

Spears who wrote a blog about motherhood was sentenced for murdering her five-year-old son through salt poisoning so she could use his illness to gain social media attention.

Judge Robert Neary said while Lacey Spears suffered from the mental illness known as Munchausen by proxy, she was guilty of a crime “unfathomable in its cruelty.”

Spears, from Scottsville, Kentucky, was convicted of second degree murder last month in the death of her son Garnett-Paul Spears.



During the trial the court heard how the woman had given her son lethal doses of salt through a feeding tube because she craved the attention it gave her.

Judge Neary said the woman’s son had suffered “five years of torment and pain.”

“One does not have to be a psychiatrist to realize you suffer from Munchausen by proxy,” Neary said as he resisted calls to give Spears a 25-year sentence sought by prosecutors.

Munchausen by proxy is a disorder which in some cases sees a caregiver fabricate or induce physical or health problems for those in their care.

District Attorney Janet DiFiore said Spears’ son had suffered “repeated hospitalizations, unneeded surgical procedures and ultimately poisoning with salt — all at the hands of the one person who should have been his ultimate protector: his mother.”

“Using the child’s ‘illnesses” to self-aggrandize herself, her actions directly lead to her son’s tortured death,” DiFiore said.

ANew Orleans pastor collapsed suddenly and died in the middle of preaching a sermon at Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church in the Algiers community on Sunday after declaring to his congregation: “If the Lord called me now, I’m ready.”

Pastor Kenneth Green, 56, was preaching on the Book of Psalms in a sermon titled “Down But Not Out” and made an ironic declaration shortly before collapsing, according to church member Joan Martin.

“And then he had mentioned that if the Lord called me now ‘I’m ready to go,'” Martin told local news outlet WDSU.

The sudden death shocked the congregation and Martin burst out in tears when she saw her pastor tumble to the ground.

“He took a swallow of water, before he took water he wiped his face, and then he looked up and it looked like his eyes were rolled back, like there was no life in his eyes, and he tumbled over. Everybody was in a state of shock people were crying,” she said.

Paramedics arrived shortly after he collapsed but were unable to revive him, according to Martin.

She said Green was a kind man who was there for anyone needing prayer and served others by taking sick people to the hospital and helping the homeless.

Pastor Fails To Resurrect After Telling People To Bury Him Alive

Five members of the same family were charged with the murder of a prophet who had been called to their home in the village of Mazonde, Zimbabwe to help them cleanse their house of evil spirits.

According to local newspaper, Zed 24 News, the accused family identified as Leanmore Mutero, Tonderai Muswere, Michael Muchengeti, Manasa Mutero and Nicholas Mutero, appeared at the High Court in Harare facing a murder charge for participating in the death of self-professed Prophet Shamiso Kanyama, who accidentally died during a healing ceremony.

Pastor Kanyama had reportedly asked his followers to bury him alive so that he could summon more cleansing powers to heal the family that had been plagued by mysterious deaths.

Zed 24 News reports that High Court Justice Owen Tagu heard how on that day, the late pastor had been invited to attend the home in the Muzarabani district, which is situated along the Mozambique-Zimbabwe border, by their priest, Zvidzai Muchengeti.

The five men had requested the priest to help them clean their home of evil spirits, because it was causing mysterious deaths in their family.

Responding to their request to perform a healing ceremony, Kanyama had ordered his followers to dig a grave and bury him alive because that was the way he summoned more healing powers to ward off evil spirits. However, the plan backfired on the prophet when instead of being resurrected as he supposed, the men dug up the grave again to find him dead.

Suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers have struck the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, killing at least nine civilians, as the same armed group was also blamed for the death of eight soldiers in fierce fighting in neighbouring Chad.

The multiple attacks Maiduguri also left 13 wounded, police told the Reuters news agency on Monday, the latest in a spate of attacks in the region.

No group has officially claimed responsibility for the blasts in Maiduguri, but the use of suicide bombers in the region is a hallmark of Boko Haram.

Borno police said a male suicide bomber killed a security guard after entering the University of Maiduguri, near the city centre at 2120 GMT on Sunday.

Four female suicide bombers then killed eight people around an hour later on the outskirts of the city in Zannari community, after detonating devices in residential buildings.

Two female suicide bombers were the only people to die in two blasts at the University of Maiduguri on Monday morning at around 03:20 GMT.

"In all, 16 persons including the suicide bombers died in the multiple explosions while 13 persons were injured," said the Borno Police commissioner, Damian Chukwu.

A number of suicide bomb attacks by suspected members of Boko Haram has taken place in the capital of Borno state and its neighbouring areas in the last few weeks, including blasts that killed 12 people on June 19 and a June 7 raid which left 14 dead.

On Friday, Nigeria's state security agency also said it had foiled plans to detonate explosives in four northern cities - Maiduguri, Kano, Sokoto and Kaduna - during celebrations to mark the end of Islam's holy month of Ramadan.

More than 20,000 people have been killed and over two million have fled their homes since Boko Haram launched an armed campaign in 2009 to create an Islamic state in northeast Nigeria.

Nigeria's army, with the help of troops from neighbouring countries, pushed the group out of most of a swathe of land around the size of Belgium which it controlled until early 2015.

Suicide attack, gun raids

But suicide bombings and gun raids in mostly busy public areas, such as mosques and markets, have continued in northeast Nigeria and neighbouring Cameroon and Niger.

The frequency of suicide bombings has increased in the last few weeks, although a large proportion of the attacks result in only the bombers being killed.

In neighbouring Chad, eight soldiers were killed when suspected Boko Haram fighters launched an attack over the weekend on islands on Lake Chad, the army told the Associated Press news agency on Monday.


US seals arms deal with Nigeria to fight Boko Haram
"Our forces attacked Boko Haram elements on five islands near Nigeria on June 24 and 25," said Chad army spokesman Colonel Azem, indicating eight soldiers had died and another 18 were wounded.

He also said troops had killed 162 fighters and destroyed six vehicles along with many of the motorcycles often favoured by the group in their raids.

The claim of the military could not be independently verified.

Lake Chad borders four countries on the edge of the Sahara: Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria.

Chad is part of a five-nation regional force - also comprising Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger and Benin - fighting Boko Haram.

On Sunday, Chad's President Idriss Deby threatened to pull the country's troops out of peacekeeping operations in Africa because of a lack of foreign financial support.

Chad has contributed 1,390 soldiers, the third-largest contingent to MINUSMA, the UN peacekeeping mission deployed in Mali in response to violence.
