Like now, if you work in a bank, do law, work in mediicne, business, factory work, or even government work, there is a dress code for all those employment zones. You also know that armed forces and other uniformed services recruit graduates as well? (Nigerian army is recuriting graduates right now for example). Are those who work in those sectors little children since someone is prescribing dress code (Law self, if you no wear that robe and wig, dem go chase you comot for court).?

Is a banker, doctor, member of the army, etc being treated as a kid by being forced to wear dress code?

Until soldiers and other force men are placed where they truly belong instead of placing them as demi-gods in our society a lot of things will remain the same backwards bollocks. Starting with the part of the constitution which should be scrapped off. In saner climes if a soldier commits an offence they're treated accordingly but here it's another ball game hence the need for the nonsense law in the first place. A soldier on uniform will be harassing a civilian and no one dares to interfere because of the fake power given to them because of the uniform. Take the power away from the uniform and watch how they behave accordingly like their counterparts in saner climes. If there's no fake power in that uniform who would be using it for criminal acts or wtv? Because they know you can do wtv in that same uniform and get away with it. Everything is just wrong in this country as with most west African nations too. We really need to catch up.

Change of clothes doesn't change character. Our university systems are too outdated. They should evolve and upgrade. We are not in the 19th century for heaven's sake. Create programs within the curriculum for periodical orientation and reorientation of the students and staffs. They are not children but adults treat them as such so they can be mentally ready for the world outside. It's not a military institution where students are trained to follow orders without questions. They should be encouraged to express themselves freely and that's the only way to truly grow and attain their full potentials. Funny thing is even after all these the bad ones become even worse off than they used to be. All these ore colonial mentality doesn't work.
