sahm4u2nv:Embarking on Post Degree Studies in Canada is a great choice as Canada will provide an opportunity for International students to get Post graduate work experience. Generally, Masters Programs are quite competitive in Canada and as such they require a minimum of 2.1(Second class upper) and First class. *However depending on the strength of your **application, students have been able to get in with a 2.2. A strong application will include work experience, GRE & GMAT Scores if required and strong references.* Please visit www.uni <http://www.aucc.ca/>versitystudy.ca for a complete list of all Canadian universities. On this website you can search by program choice and you can get direct links to the Universities of your choice and how to apply. If you are unsuccessful with your Masters application we can look at applying for a Post Graduate Diploma. Godspeed. |
Travelling is one thing, what do you want to go and do there is another thing. Information here or anywhere can only help you climb, it can't help you fly. You first need to do your homework well, define your intents properly then you can get on your way faster. Canada has classes of visas, just like any country should. You can always key into any class but first, learn the basis. When u do, then you can ask precise questions and get valuable answers. Don't attract fraudsters to yourself. Goodluck to u. See you in canada! |
yoged:Go to Stanbic, processing time is 2weeks, go with ur visa, ad flight tickets. |

saxywale:What's the range pls? An Msc in Economics |
saxywale:Thanks alot saxywale. I am really grateful for ur time. As a masters graduate, are there jobs that could be dream come tru 4 him? Wot kinda pay does such an individual expect in the system? |
hartson:Aduro...simply connotes asylum claims |
justwise:Problem not solved! It's what he had access to, at the time. You see it as madness, yet the deed is done. So please, share ur tots on how he can mak d best of this. Thanks |
justwise:I see! Thank God for this forum Thank you Justwise, Saxywale and the good people on Nairaland. This is a true life scenario. A friend graduated from a Nigerian University, wit a 2.1.given the account statement issues, he used a visa agent to secure a 4 years study permit for a charge of 1.5m ( outrageous sum) yes..he had little or no choices. He was successful with his application, now the visa is out. Somewhere on CIC, one can read "Post-secondary student You may change your school, program, field of study or level of study (e.g. from the Bachelor level to the Masters level) without applying for a new study permit. You do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either. You may continue to use your study permit as long as it is valid." Based on what he is being fed now, there are 2 options. 1. Declare asylum, if successful, he gets permit residence status in 6mths, den he can study ad earn well. 2. Apply for an Msc, pass through the pain of paying msc fees. Share your wise tots, what are his odds? Ever grateful!!! |
saxywale:Thank u saxywale. What then will students who secured admission and a TRV without adequate funds do? How will they survive? Is there no way out? |
justwise:@ Justwise, saxywale Some people believe one can earn as much as 3k$ per month with so much hardwork, I would like to think that such an individual can actually focus his attention and be able to meet up paying termly fees, a term is About 4mnths..... If these jobs pay less, can u guys on ground enlighten us all? Does it mean one cant work two job? Does it mean one can't do menial jobs..."gabbage collector, chicken catcher..." types and save to pay tuition? I will appreciate a clearer explanation. We all are grateful for ur totfulness. |
justwise:Does it mean that people who secure a study visa, can't work and make it in the system.? Does it mean, people who can get a study permit, can't afford their fees with pays from canadian Jobs? |
Hello house, I kindly wish to say a big thank you to all, who are currently studying in Canada that still deem it fit to Attend to our questions, may God reward us all. I would like to get an accurate information on a rather pressing issue. I have obtained my study Permit for an Undergraduate study in Canada. I however, have obtained my Bsc here in Nigeria. I would wish to proceed with an Msc in Economics in any school in or around Toronto that offers me cheap yet quality education. I would love if I can meet someone currently studying for a master's degree in Canada to guide me on how to go about this pls. Thanks for ur usual cooperation. Thanks in anticipation. |
