ibabz: On the contrary, what you exhibit goes beyond Stockholm syndrome; it borders on outright bewitchment. I genuinely struggle to understand how someone can continue to praise a government that has made life significantly more difficult for ordinary citizens.
Let’s be clear: state governments do not control the national economy, monetary policy, exchange rates, or the country’s overall security architecture. Those are primarily the responsibilities of the federal government. That doesn’t mean state governments shouldn’t be held accountable, they absolutely should. However, the bulk of the responsibility rests on the desk of the President and the federal administration.
This Tinubulation-led government has mastered the art of shifting responsibility for virtually every problem from the federal government to state governments and even to citizens themselves. Whenever there is a failure, someone else is blamed.
So let me ask you a simple question: what is the one tangible, measurable benefit you are personally enjoying from this government today? Just one. Name it.
If you can point to a single clear improvement in your quality of life that is directly attributable to this government, I will apologize right here and now.
And please, don’t mention NELFUND. Taking loans to access education is not the economic breakthrough you seem to think it is. If anything, many people see it as transferring the burden of funding education onto students rather than making education more affordable and accessible.
Today, just so you know, a kg of LNG is now more than N2k. If I am bewitched by the Federal Government then you are also bewitched by the state Governors. Tell me anywhere in my comments where I praise whereas you are the one trying to exonerate the state Governors that are living extravagantly, many of them doing nothing with the FAAC they are collecting like a lot of sensible Individuals have indicated here. For instance many of them collect billions every month as security votes without buying a single kit or anything to enhance security in their states, a lot of them keep half of the money meant for lgs every month . You might not be close to some Governors but I am by the virtue of my work and the way they spend our taxes you weep for this country instead of blaming Tinubu using some stupid exchange rates. Maybe you don’t understand what I’m saying, while trying to blame Tinubu( that is pumping money to states and lgs) for whatever reasons, Governors should also be questioned for many things going on in their states. I come in peace. |

U guys started having fans the moment Abhramovic bought ur club. Ranieri finished second in 2003/04 and, Mourinho came the next season. Una use Oil money buy almost 2 complete squad. Melchiot, Desailly, Emmanuel Petit and co were flushed out later. Mou bought Big big players. In 2006, Arsenal left Highbury for Emirates. They started paying for the loan or something. So that affected their finances to compete at the highest level. This was the time Chelsea overtook Arsenal. If not, it has always been Man Utd or Arsenal. I repeat, go verify from ur elder brothers. If no be Google sef, I don't think u can comfortably name ur first 11 around 1997 - 2003. Story for the gods, can you please stop this your stupid stories. At a point in time, every clubs has its own ups and downs and doesn’t mean there are no fans even when the club is nothing as far as winning trophies is concerned. Even your man utd was nothing to write home about when the likes of Aston villa, Nottingham Forest were ruling England. yomi531: Arsenal won the European cup winners cup in 94. They even made it to the finals the next season before, losing to Zaragoza. Counting all trophies as 1, Arsenal has more trophies than Chelshit. Go and verify. Chelshit fans are newbies and what I call glory hunters. Most of them started following football as recently as 2003/04 season. Man Utd and Arsenal has more loyal followership. Arsenal get levels pass una. No reason am Yomi stop Shebe, no talk am again o! That European Cup Winners you are bragging Arsenal won in 1994, Chelsea has also won it in 1971and won it 1998. Then Chelsea went ahead and beat Arsenal in Europa cup final in 2019 that you Arsenals craved for badly after winning the Champions league in 2012 and another Europa league in 2013. Boomyvig: It means some of us are still right to say the Federal government complicit in matters arising from banditry and kidnapping. A friend came to my house yesterday and he argued against this position stating that it’s the state governors that should be held accountable in all these. That the Nigerian federal government allocates monthly security votes to them. And when I checked I met it that way. And today, answers to my questions came alive. Because I can’t stop thinking, why is banditry and kidnapping appears insurmountable despite all the liquid capital allocated for national security. The truth is gradually coming out. I will share this post with my friend. Just to buttress your point, do you know that most of these Governors collect as much as Billions every month as security votes? Some go as far as cutting 10% of their FAAC as security votes. But at the end of the day nothing to show for it and that one that said he wants to be president instead of him to face what he is elected to doing his state is busy complaining about another person and some individuals are there clapping for him. It’s a pity. |

GreenCovering: I know this is political but Jagaban has dragged on for too long on this particular subject matter while the lives of defenceless citizens keep getting waisted. The affected ones today were the ones who cried for the victims of yesterday. This is a large governance hole that the government of the day has yet to address. Or are there some vested interests within the hierarchy vehemently opposed to the establishment of state policing? Why are the people not empowered to be proactive about their safety or to be able to put up a minimal resistance in the face of a brazen attack on their community because this is essentially state policing. If the government has failed to address the proliferation of arms, then they should help the people with the necessary policy adjustments and bootstrapping to organise themselves against these senseless marauders. But I hope you know it isn’t Tinubu’s unilateral decision to create state police, Infact the 1999 constitution as we have today needs to be amended and that is why Akpabio even said it yesterday after visiting PBAT that they will speedily do what’s needed to create state police and I know there should have been a discussion towards that for him to speak strongly about it and again don’t also forget that he directed the IG to outline all the various components to make it a success and if am not mistaken the IG has formed a committee towards that. Makinde is just massaging his ego and that of his oga Atiku, if he likes let him continue saying rubbish, because he knows some stupid fellows will fall for it. For him mind now, him dey campaign against Tinubu. 😯 |

Maybe you don't know Sanwo Olu was in Ibadan with other SW Govornors times without number during the creation of Amotekun. Yet Lagos doesn't need it. If they don't why did they join?
Why did they sign to it's creation? Why? Comparing Amotekun to Lagos neigbourd watch is funny. Those ones that are like traffic police? Lmao.
The truth of the matter is this, I don't know of any other state,But Oyo Amotekun is the most funded and they are doing well. We already have a sort of mini state police and if tinubu is sure of himself and wants to nip terrorism in the bud,he should grant state Police and stop playing politics with human lives.
An Oyo that shares border with Benin Republic needs more security than having just 74 police station statewide. We do not want terrorists in our region. If he is truly not an omo ale,he should do the right thing and save his region and stop crying obi everyone and then I don’t care of the nonsense you’ve written up there o but if previous presidents have done what Tinubu has done about creating state police by now we won’t be talking about creating it but talking about the reality and probably how Governors are using them against oppositions. |

Eriokanmi: This was baba jakande's vision before Tinubu came and dabaru everything. With his quack innovation. How can someone who claimed to have schooled and lived in the US, even drove taxi for survival ended up this way? Lagos is not as busy as London and New York city. They prefer embezzling money with their quack traffick solution. I had to personally written to a commissioner in Lagos to introduce CCTV and traffic lights to the mainland before they finally acted and this is what happens when a non-indigene who is only interested in milking your state holds sway. All these will be addressed by uncle Doherty, may God protect him. Late Funsho Williams wanted to come up with the railway model in his administration after which his life was cut short. May his killers never find peace and may they continue to face disgrace in the eyes of the world, amen!
When we say its time to take our state back, someone was telling me that we yorubas are the same and can govern any state i just ignored him. He should go to Ondo or oyo state and contest for the post of ordinary ward councillor and see how far. We don take too much shiit and we're ending this asap. I've been to London and new York several times by the grace of God. You'd never know the cities were so populated with the functional rail system in place, including underground train channels. Their BRT buses here are breaking down already with no solution in sight. I went to abule egba yesterday. On getting to Ile epo market, I was able to count up to 3 buses already stranded on the BRT toad. We have the money to make this happen but they keep stealing it, using it to stage protests and sponsor politics in other states. All these nonsense will soon stop. For reasons best known to know you’ve ended up saying nothing. |
