Is it just me that feels awkward honouring invites to birthdays, wedding, child dedications when I am in my death row phase.. this doesn't mean I can't transport myself to the venue but going there knowing I can't be of help any further, like gifting, spraying it always makes me feel uncomfortable and panicked and I rather just stay home. Something just happened this evening leaving me so embarrassed and I feel for him too.

A friend took me unaware while I went to visit him that a friend of his doing a birthday celebration, it was getting dark already I protest about going to my house but you know guys, he wanted me to accompany him by fire by force to the venue. I knew how Sunday lifestyle was there and wasn't really comfortable but I had to succumbed, we got there place was booming, DJ playing music it's was epic gathering with guys and ladies all around the table drinks and all. Me just jejely mind myself took a bottle water, sat on my own pressing phone... All of a sudden a guy from no where with powder all on is body came to where I was and stood still with his hands up like a statue.

I know this drill, all my mind which kind thing be this, which kind embarrassment this guy want do to me so. Why today of all day? He left all other guys and girls' around chopping barbecue, me when just dey with my bottle water dey observe time na you choose to embarrass like this... just because I fresh abi handsome and stand out I don't know..

I boned over 5mins this guy was still standing like a statue saluting, all eyes on us on our table... people on the table started looking.. people on other tables looking. Me kukuma just continue dey press phone..I nor get one Naira for pocket to give him.
This went on for close to 8min, if only you know how I felt with all eyes on me. Not untill someone else tapped him, which I don't know if that's how they do it... still he was standing still waiting for me to activate..when it nor dey. I can't take from my friend all eyes on us.

Imagine someone could be on is own going through a lot and coincidentally embarrassment go come meet am. If I had gone home I nor go experience this thing today.
What hurts me most is when I have i give alot but seeing this happen to me with not even 1naira to save my aura.
This is an experience I would never forget in my life..oh God

This post I am making is a freestyle

There's a particular musician among the big 3 who has so many hits, king of AFROBEAT I call him. He's my favourite among them no doubts but anytime is freestyle comes out I get so embarrassed not happy just sad like what really went wrong!


FLASH BACKKK

Way back then in my teenage days in secondary school I discovered my interest in music. During break hour there were some group of boys in total like 4 just vibing, smiling and using biro to hit the desk while they talk among themselves. I drew closer and realised this boys were just spitting some random words. There was one particular that could rhyme words so good that you could feel it, he was so good that when it's his time everyone keeps shut and listen..and laughing that could get the whole class attention those who didn't go out for break. Girls looking and smiling some even coming nearer just to taunt and give you the side eye.

From that day I said to myself I was gonna be good and be just like him. I was about 14 to 15 at that time and started listening to alot of hip-hop music. I got more closer to the clique of boys, while jet clubs and believer's word world were going on and the rest were going on. We camp ourselves in another class that was free.. I learnt the basis, counting bars, 3-- 4 learning different rhymes, one syllables, two syllables and even multi syllables because then it was all about rhymes don't even care if you make sense.. JUST HAVE RHYME'S...and know how to flow.


It came to a time I became so good that I don't even have to learn rhyme's anymore and it was like the ones I learnt were already stocked in my head and even new ones kept coming that when I spit bars I always end at a different rhymes. and to be real all my words started making sense, I can relate to someone standing near me, or past events that people knew about just say it and it just comes off my head and goes with the perfect rhymes All through my years in secondary school we never for once wrote lyrics, we only rap immitating foreign musicians knowing all their rap lines and spitting ours from the top of our head intersecting. I only learnt people actually wrote music, in my older years when I see video clips of people holding books at studios. That's to tell you how good I was then and to be honest all the songs I later dropped after school were all 90% freestyles.



BACK TO THE TOPIC

What's freestyle? We all know what it is.. even actors freestyle, architect freestyle, athletes freestyle..talk more a musician that can't freestyle. It's a sellout for an artist who can't freestyle, shows your a musician with no brain just like a computer that was just programmed to carry out an activity with no sense of its own to improvise at any time..but still gives you the end result (songs)

Ask so many musicians today they all started with rapping before converting to singing because it was much more easier to do as a kid. You don't want to start singing in class like a girl.. you know how embarrassing that Will be. It just hurt me to see that a top tier artist in Nigeria can't do what teenagers can do at ease with no sweat.


You have an aura of 1000 but everytime your freestyle clip comes out it goes to minus, why can't you just decline politely when asked to in podcast, studio or even family meeting. Wouldn't that be better.

I am not here trying to shade anyone but I am just saying as an upcoming artist and want to go far with no flaws and being told that freestyling isn't necessary they lie. The only reason majority of people consider Messi better than Ronaldo is because Lionel Messi freestyles with the ball more and that makes him standout like he does magic. It's an inbuilt talent that shows you got it inside you that money can't buy. To go far you need to learn the basics from the scratch because when you cut corners you might achieve some heights but sooner or later it definitely going to show

Why is it that everyone outside of delta state thinks the whole place is warri, meanwhile warri doesn't even cover up to 25% in delta state. I used to think I was a warri boy myself not until in my teenage years I realised warri I have been claiming I really wasn't from there in fact I barely even go there..okere,igbudu and the rest. I was born and bred in "EFFURUN" Uvwie the major entry point of delta state and yet for years I thought I was a warri boy and you wouldnt blame me. You'd blame our fore fathers (urhobos) who really didn't care that much because they were so accommodating that they accepted anything be thrown at them even to the point of accepting names that isnt geographically correct in the first place.

Realwarripickin cancelled show saga made alot of people realise that warri they have been calling they haven't even been there. When travelling to delta, you'd see the park writing warri but where they actually drop you is EFFURUN ROUNDABOUT or PTI JUNCTION in Uvwie local government area. that is not even close to warri at all, to get to warri you'd have to take a cab or keke that Wil drive close 40min plus passing all the neighboring Uvwie communities before you finally enter warri.

Now this isn't tribal war or discrimination is just awareness that Lot of people didn't know and that's how history got lost and children to come wouldn't even know their identity. This matter has been on ground for years now that people should stop generalising everywhere in delta state as warri.. you'd see someone travelling from Lagos and the destination is ughelli.. ask him he will say he is going to warri.. like come on does that make sense? Do you know the distance from ughelli to warri?

You'd see someone staying in SAPELE, you'd ask him where he stays he will say WARRI. all this have been going on for years and we've tried and tried to make several corrections, either we get insulted or people keeps saying it doesn't matter like they just don't want to know.


So my people to end it all this ongoing saga really sweet my belly very well atleast the whole Nigeria is getting to know that where they've claimed to been to or even stayed for years is not actually warri.

Now this is not a hate topic, I'm just in cloud 9 right now and the thought just hit me. Do otedola kids, adenuga sons..Adelekes.. even our very own seun kids knows how lucky they are.. because I know someone who is 45, never worked in is entire life but since he was a boy he receives salary from 3 of is father companies before month end without sweating. You might see him this afternoon, and the next day he might be out of the country to go see is friend and be back the following day.

My question still remains are this set of people SELF AWARE how lucky they are or they just see it as a normal thing?

Over the years I have only had two friend in my entire life..I can't make new friends not like I care to. But I have always noticed since I was a teenager, people just stare and keep their distance. Like it starting to feel like I have some kind of demon that keeps people away at a far distance. I think I am the problem, I don't talk much.. I don't mingle, in fact I hate public settings and if you stare at me too much, from that day on me and you Will have beef in my mind... Because I might think you've heard one or two about me.

To cut this short, I am in my mid 30s right now and just can't help to notice like it seems I am the problem. I have lived in my current residence for 6years and not one single friend going down the street they all just stare. Men and women, boy's and girls...It's almost like my aura or the vibe I give is not welcoming, is keeping a straight face a bad thing..or is minding my business bad. It's almost like a spirit possessed me from childbirth keeping people afar.

Someone that I haven't talked to before might decide to keep malice with me like so many people.. frowning face whenever eyes meet and you can see from those eyes the hatred.
Like I wonder what's this problem.. meanwhile there's another guy right there who might be in same place and within a second knows everyone..I think this is spiritual

I still tell my home boys till today, the splitting of PSQUARE systematically opened the way for the big 3 discussion in Nigeria. They were the biggest, touring whole of Africa, Europe, their stage performance was so elite..even when WizKid was making raves, PSQUARE was still number one holding that spot 2013, 2014, 2015... if only they had held on a little while longer and not let financial disagreement come between them they would still have been number 1 in the game. All they need do is release one or two hit every year with some features and viola they would have still been the biggest no cap. The one mistake a man can have or can deem a man light faster is been compared to your predecessor and once you accept it, no matter what you do, you'd always been seen like a lower version of the person before you. I find that as a huge challenge, never had one. This is just my life patronising prostitutes and call girls since I was younger..stress free, pay and go in
I don't even know what step to take if I decide to get one, I get tired easily with people.

He struggled so much being underground for a long time until the international fans saw his talent and accept him before starting getting actual respect from Nigeria fan base. Imagine being accepted by outsiders before your own people won't that hurt? As it is right now, he's the hottest overseas among the big 3 with Grammy's but still number 3...I said what I said. His online feuds with the same people that feeds him...Dang!..I rather not delve into that. But hey burna boy worked so hard for where he is today, a legend with his own hands and that can't be taken away from him cancellation or not.


2) DAVIDO A.K.A BADDEST

Those who knows me on this forum knows I have never been partial, I say things as it is. Raw, natural, while it's hot so you can feel the taste. if the big 3 are to perform same day at my location here in the South south and it's a free pass this December I dine and wine with OBO not because he's my favourite but the personality the vibes..his songs are so African like for someone born in overseas. He's the king of afrobeats in Nigeria hands down, hits uphon hits, catchy lyrics not all those party jam noise from those Fuji musicians... I'm talking about steady afrobeats with flavors. DAVIDO got no Grammy yet but man don try.. before FIFA called him to feature in the last world cup theme song they needed that AFRICAN SAUCE.



1) WIZKID A.K.A BIG BIRD

I know some of you might hate this, even I myself hate it but my people say " who don big, don big" nothing you can do to change it. STAR BOY has been number 1 for years now and he still remains number one in the whole of African. Not necessarily because of his musics, man hasn't dropped any hit songs since they killed gadanfi but there's just this level of grace, Aura, self reliant a man can have that he would be so much valuable without doing a thing, saying a thing and still be relevant for years. I tell my guys whenever we banter even though we are grown adults that WizKid SUPERSTAR ALBUM was the foundation that made him who he is today and he should be forever grateful to banky w and squash any beef. Although he had some major hits when he left eme but that album crest his name in the world as it is today. And the personality of being unavailable, hardly seen, using absence to increase respect filled in the 10% for what he is today. I know you might argue but wizkid is the number 1. Is it fan base? Is it style? Doesn't force it just like Roger Federer just generally liked.. doesn't need to do much. Once he drops a song or album you'd see someone just approach you like " you don hear that WizKid new song ' since it's WizKid you have go ahead and stream. That's greatness on another level, a blessing only few attains.


Add-on : I saw sometime there was a particular gen z musician who blew 2 years ago claiming big 4 or big all..no kid, you still got years to compete with your peers, and future upcomings. You might be relevant right now but there's differences between being a legend and having one hit song..so pls calm down. give yourself time with much consistency, you still got about 10years more..
