Same thing access bank is doing to me...I tried sending 20k to someone since last month..it didn't go through but I was debited. As usual just like my keystone bank I thought I would be getting a reversal by 2 to 3 today's but to my greatest surprised nothing from accessbank till today...

I never bothered to visit the bank since last month because I thought they were going to reverse it...I have asked the received several times if it miracly came to through till the extend he's getting annoyed with me telling me to visit the bank... I shouldn't ask him again.

It's obvious access bank are thieves and are trying to play a fast one on me.
More than 4weeks now....

Yahoo boys are not the problems of this country. Our bad leaders are.. you and I are the ones supporting them during election.

I think much can't be said about remmyboy, I mean he hasn't sold 02arena but the stats are there.. baby calm down stats are there. Being on billboards overseas and getting rushed by hollywood musicians just to taste the african sauce.. the stats are there....no grammie's yet, but the stats are there...Yesterday, my guys and I had an argument and I told them bluntly..In the history of Nigeria's entertainment industry, no one has received much international recognition like Rema. Let's forget about the inferiority complex and talk about facts. Is it psquare? Yea they did it... Is it dbanj yes he did it....is it the BIG 3 ?....yea they did it...but we talking about HUGE WAVE.... BLOWING.. WORLDWIDE RECOGNITION within a short period of time.

The most annoying thing is when you start to speak the fact you will be assumed to be a kid being called gen z and the rest, bro I am in my 30s what are you talking about?

I feel so much joy when I get on tiktok, instagram, facebook and see people from different racial ethnicity using that soundtrack I am like we are there!. AFRICA IS THERE.

Selena gomez called the label and said I want to be on this remix...not the other way round.. not paid features or agbeg please accept my feature!.... but hey the kid still has a long way to go and I believe he is going to achieve alot.

Well i am not a huge fan of Fuji music, maybe because I am from the south and think music should be something that can be easily understood and related to but it's not a bad ideal to promote your songs in your culture, language and tell your story for your own people who can really relate to it ... But you see asake should be giving is respect, is props. He has achieved a lot, that i wonder how a lone musician can be topping the stream charts for 2 to 3 years from every new release he made and yet they are some musicians before him who hasn't smell the top 10. In spite of multiple claims from individuals that the label is facilitating his songs with streaming farm tools to and fro.. Dude didn't dull at all, he went ahead and sold out the 02 arena. When I viewed the video clip of is concert last 2month, I was like Maybe God truly has the people he favours.

I still tell people that it's much simpler to blow in the days of our forefathers in the
nigerian entertainment music industry than right now. This could be debated though due to the presence of social media and several influencers, everyone thinks it's easy but it's not, to be heard all over the world, be noticed..and get to generate fan base? Come on bro it ain't easy..I am not referring to your family members or community fan base.

In 2008, when I was still a young boy. During my final days in high school, we would rap battle with ourselves in the class room so much that I even composed some personal good tracks on my own. I am thinking about putting up for sale. (Till this day, I still flow, I still write.. talent never dies)
During that time, I met so many talented folks just like myself. If it were now, I would have invested around 2 to 3 million on them, and they would have been among the big names in the entertainment industry today.


now this is my point.....

The entertainment industry has become so overpopulated that there are numerous talented musicians in every direction left and right. From Yahoo boys to choristers and different individuals.. even right here on nairaland we have our own Dbûll and the legend Aîrforce1. Even with good financial deals and record label contracts, it's still very hard to be heard or noticed But there were some musicians in this recent times who defied all odds.


I am here to present to you the Top 3 new school Nigeria musicians who defied all odds with little or no hassle.








OMAH LAY

Many people still say that the pandemic helped him to be known within a short period of time but do you know what was the most influential factor in his success? His distinctive brand. till this moment I still haven't seen any nigerian musician OMAH lay copied from, is it his calm voice? is it his style? his musical pattern? Unlike so many youngsters out there coming out to sound like psquare, wizkid and even Burnaboy.. shout-out to is new signee by the way.
Omah lay defied all odds to be real. He created his own brand and was accepted by nigeria so fast that everybody in 2020 was asking who be this guy?? How can you be depressed all the time on your songs and still make people dance to it... life.. That's the distinctive uniqueness.

in history he is among the top new school musicians to be known within a short time frame and he did it with little or no hassle.

This country na only music industry dey work.

I achieved alot. Finally found what I love doing just the right way to monetize it I need.

Let me start with this, am not the relationship type, have never been committed to any girl all my life. I don’t go for anything under skirt cause am too selective when it comes to Girls.

I met this girl in Port harcourt at a friends place in early June, she is a single mother and she seems to be a very good and jovial person, we got connected immediately and we had sex the same day, ever since then our sex scenes been great, she do a-lot of things for me, like house cleaning, cooking, doing my laundry and stuffs even when she’s not been told. Fast forward to the day I was about leaving, she started begging me to take her along that she needs to take her son to Lagos where her ex boyfriend parents live for the boy to resume school, the ex is not in Nigeria. I felt pity for the poor boy and I told her it’s okay, I gave her money to go take the boy from her mom so we can go Lagos together. I made it known to her that I won’t be responsible for her housing and feeding cause am going back to go hustle. We left Port Harcourt together the next day.

Getting to Lagos, she started lamenting that she hasn’t eaten that I should please send her some money and should try to get her a job, I reminded her of what I told her the day we were leaving, don’t try putting your burden on me here in Lagos. Luckily for her I got her a job close to my work place, just for her to use that in taking care of herself. She started the work the next day and we started seeing again and having sex couple of time at my place, all these time I didn’t promise her marriage or whatsoever. Now here is the problem.


Anytime we have misunderstanding at my work place, before I say one she don talk two even when I tell her to stop she still continue talking, when it happens like that I just get up and find my way out but she never allowed me to go out, she would run after me and lock the door then remove the key, before I know it I would hit her and she won’t even waste time hitting me back, have never hit woman all my life but I can’t just help it, all these happened at my work place most of the time, once we settled she would go on her kneels and start begging me to forgive her for hitting me, it happens over and over again, our last fight was bloody, I had to call it quit few days ago before anything bad happen. She cried and begged me that it won’t happen again but I made her understand that it is not healthy if we continue like this.


Have been by myself these past few days, I must confess I miss her so much, she cook for me and bring to my office everyday, I miss our nights conversations so much, her soft touch on me and the rest. I called her two days ago to come around which she did, I made her sleep at my place, we talked through the night and we ended up having sex and she asked if I was okay with it or if I want more that she knows I miss her so much, I can’t even deny that cause it’s boldly written all over me. She left very early in the morning at 6am. I noticed the feelings wasn’t there anymore, I understand how she feels cause I had to make her leave my place that day we broke up even though she never wanted to leave.

I miss everything about her even though I don’t see any future in us. I feel something is not right, keeping her and still having sex while we already broke up. Should I just let her go or still keep up with her?

So they do whatever they can to stay there, being selfish towards young and upcoming musicians with no ladder to trace to them. I'm capable of naming a few names, but unfortunately, that's not what we're discussing.

I have here the top 5 nigeria musicians who accepts reality that no one stays at the top forever and they try the best they can to help striving artist into the entertainment industry with little or no monetization gain unlike some of your favorite brands who are leeches in disguise of labels owner and Godfathers.

5) ERIGGA

Although he has been underrated for several years, the King of the South is still doing his part in the little ways he can. Several albums and EPs have been released by him in recent years, and he has always showcased upcoming artists.

upcoming artist you've never heard before, he promotes them through his album I can see, mostly all they do is drop hooks, chorus and he does his rap and you and I know it's always about catchy choruses and you are like who this and Viola You be on google to know the name of the artist.. unlike most of this musician that focuses on ft big names only.. you send dm if you are not known your on a long thing.... he also introduced victor Ad into the mainstream I must say and I doubt if they are any signatures to this.


4) D_PRINCE


I know this might be controversial with people claiming he had rugger on paperwork but hold on let me give you some facts on while he made it and his big bro didn't. DPrince is one of those musicians who don't have that mindset, " I want to be the best" he just came to get in the spotlight with his brand and relaxed for the upcomings to carry on.

Dude is what we call a selfless helper. He is one of those who helped Wizkid early on in his career, which has led to his current status. (Kudos to wande coal too), is it also easy for someone to discover one of the hottest Afrobeat musicians claiming awards here and there internationally even though he handed it over to is brother for monetization? Dude is selfless I must say, it's not easy for a legend in the game to have good thoughts for upcomings striving and wants their greatness. DPrince has payed his dues, I mean, take a look at some of your known legends who were there before him, and list one artist success that can be traced to them. Despite this, they continue to refer to them as a legend (lol)


3) DAVIDO

apart from his several philanthropy work davido has every right to be on my list even as a record label owner. Now here are some facts you need to know: He doesn't necessarily need to sign any upcoming artist. He has a strategy that most American artists use, including Drake and others.

I am going to term it FREE PUBLICITY

This is a case where they jump on an upcoming artist's song because they see and observe that it might just be the new wave in town and as an old wave it's always necessary to remain relevant in the game no matter what. So they give the artist free promotion and introduction to the mainstream, which could be beneficial to the artist and can also lead to his downfall.

The agbalagba of the nigeria music industry, if you like call him local he remains the Godfather, the true godfather who hardly signs, who hardly put pen into paper and when he does it's a hit but also wants the greatness of other's in irrespective of where you are from. badoo as he is fondly call is the definition of selflessness if it was a nigeria word.

The voice of the street, while his mate people he started with were striving and still wanting to be the number one fighting for grammies, Dude sat back, came with a plan and said you all can have it. I am not about that. no top nigeria musicians has done features, favours, with upcoming artist than olamide and most. No signatures involved. how many upcoming artist has he brought to limelight? bella shurmda, zlantan ibile, portable should I go on? dude supports all the time without necessarily expecting a reward.

that's a legend... that's the true definition of a legend, so many artist success can be traced to him and he still does more.


1) TIMAYA


The egberipapa one of Bayelsa has every right to be on the number one spot. It's not easy to be in the game close to 2 decades and still have upcoming in your heart. TIMAYA is an artist who does his thing, respect him self and help voluntarily without coming out to tell the public this is what I did...(no need for town crier)

I watched a video of runtown yesterday, an old video I believed first time seeing it and he said TIMAYA put him on the spotlight, tutored him at the early stage of his career. without TIMAYA he won't have been what he is today. he stayed and record at TIMAYA house for more than a year.. now tell me if that's an easy thing to do? to have an A list give you accolades, something majority of people don't even know about... same thing SKALES also said when he left eme, he was depressed but TIMAYA took him in for some time before he was able to stand on his feet again.

TIMAYA made my top one because he didn't have to give them deals, he didn't have to feed from them, he just did those good deeds selflessly with no one knowing. So many A list artist today can be traced to him with likes of Pato ranking and the rest. Respect egbon.

I am not here to criticize anyone or call names but it baffles me most time when I come online and see renowned celebrities, musicians, actors, footballers, pastors and even politicians come out to seek for financial aide when they are down with one problem or the other.

No one prays to go through hard times or be in a bad situation, but what I can't help to think Is it an entitlement mentality? like I don't understand. The same masses that struggles to feed daily due to the hardship of the country you come out to tax them because they are well known over the country and use that as an advantage everytime and anytime they are facing one problem or the other.

This gets me so annoyed that when I voice out it will look as if I am a bad person who hates helping individuals or wants the downfall of others. No bros, I am a celebrity lover.. lifestyle and all... But ask yourself this question how many people needs help in this society? I need help, alot of people need help and if we all start posting it online many will be ignored because i obviously don't matter same can't be said for this celebrities (here comes the mindset) so they CAPITALIZED mostly on this because they know they are weak vulnerable minds out there, even when themselves can take care of some certain problems on their own...but they choose to come online... hey, they also have to secure their future and that of their families.




This needs to stop and the government needs to do something about this because it is getting out of hand and starting to look like something is not just right (fishy)... They should help set up a tax program or something for celebrities both old and young earning in the industry, nollywood, music wood, comedywood and even influencerwood.
so that whatever situation they face in the future they might be able to help themselves from there.



note : this is not to discourage givers, sympathizers from helping others. Do if you can from your heart but don't be blackmailed or forced to..like a post I normally see on timelines.


If you know so so persons made your childhood... you must contribute..

If you know you were Happy so so persons made nigeria proud and won the world cup.. you must contribute.


If you know his songs help you in times of struggle you must contribute..(my God)


This needs to stop literally and the government needs to look into this.

There were those who attempted, those who failed, and those who are still trying today, with the hope of being heard one day.


I am presenting you with the top 5 countdown Nigerian musicians who have successfully penetrated the American industry and achieved global recognition.

5) WIZKID

we all know when wizkid started 2009/2010 signed by banky w we always knew he was a star. I mean the freestyle he did on Tim Westwood TV still remains one of the best ever done by an African artist till date. he went on to feature drake, chris brown and even wrote for some of them. wizkid penetrated deep I must say for selling 02 arena several times even if it's london but he has penetrated into the america spotlight with undying love from fans home and abroad.



4) DAVIDO

Being known is one thing, but being consistent is another. The American-born Nigerian singer doesn't slack at all, even without a Grammy award. He is known globally because of his hard work and consistency. He did numerous features with america artist and friends with them too. I believe the last time one of them came to nigeria, davido sent is fleet of cars to go pick him. Mention davido overseas in the uk, USA, almost all music lovers knows the name.



3) BURNA BOY
one of the most controversial musician from Nigeria can't be over looked, burnaboy is notably known abroad not just for is grammy AWARDbut as AFRICA GIANT. he's energetic looks, energetic performance gives him much stance. He has done several samples of america musicians songs that even blew way more than the original songs and one can't help to say how unique he is despite the attacks he gets from all angles people calling him the king of samples...(but last I checked, I heard a lil durk gave him an invite to remix his song "all my life" which is currently out)



2) FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI

if I don't mention the legend himself, the king of afrobeat, the pioneer himself. What will be my gain? Fela was known during the time all over the globe and I wonder how he did it. When they were hardly any promotions, radio stations, tv sets and the rest unlike now that they is streaming apps all over. Social media site and the rest. Yes fela is number 2 because he create the way for all the afro beats today in african. Rest on king.




1) REMA

I have never seen an african musician who rose to global recognition as fast as rema. This was a kid who literally started in 2018 freestyling from his parent vehicle then upload it on the internet. Viola he was quickly picked by don jazzy signed to mavin records, changed his genre from hip-hop to afro party pattern and HERE WE GO like fabrizio. Baby calm down! Calm down. A song nigeria thought were nursery's rhymes was accepted all over the world even as far as indian, china, meanwhile in nigeria it barely even had good time play. The remix he did with selena gomez and the relationship rumours helped to spice up everything and I must say rema is one of the most global afrobeat musician as at now.
